Dear Reader,

your support is essential to keep Moon of Alabama going.

It is always delectable to see feedbacks like these to Saturday's Mysteries of Kazakhstan post.

I once again declare my love for B., who summarized all you need to know about the #Almaty rebellion, and its actors such as wild Arman, MI6's sweetie-pie Ablyazov, and of course the CSTO intervention. link to MoA

Retweeting @MoonofA

I don't know exactly what @MoonofA's political orientation is, but their articles are always full of verifiable sources for claims, and you can form your own opinion based on what they report.

They also self-criticize well.

We all need to write more in this style. link to MoA

Yeah, I love reading at the discourse in some articles and I don't necessarily have to agree with everything. Wish we have this kind of healthy environment on here as well.

I love such feedback. But I also need to eat and pay rent.

This site is one person's full time effort and there is currently no other income I can rely on. While I live in somewhat better circumstances than Spitzweg's Poor Poet, I am neither rich nor can I (or want to) indulge in luxuries.

bigger

Every donation to this Poor Poet - be it $5, $50, $500 or more - is welcome and needed. A recurring contribution or sponsorship would be great.

Transaction costs are the smallest when you send cash or make a bank-wire transfer. Send email to MoonofA @ aol.com (remove the blanks) for the necessary details. (They are the same as before.) You can use a credit card or other means when you donate through the PayPal button below even without having a PayPal account. (The Moon of Alabama account is in Euro with currently €1 ~ US $1.13 and US $1 ~ €0.88).

PayPal Link

Besides your money Moon of Alabama also needs promotion. Under pressure from the powers that be the big multiplier sites like Google, Facebook and Twitter have artificially decreased the ranking of independent media.

The loss of visibility has led to less than the natural traffic growth on this and other sites. You can help to counter this by mentioning and linking to Moon of Alabama pieces on whatever 'social media' you might be. You doing so consistently will surely overcome the latent censorship.

Thank you very much!

That really was great work b. When I get paid work I would be happy to contribute. It's hard to run an open source project and be a nanny/teacher on 900 Cdn per mo.

I'll tell you what b, I'll drop support for Glenn Greenwald. He's great but doesn't need the money.
Lee Camp and Jimmy Dore are my other two that I support fyi. It's because I am such a funny guy.

Question. What other sites do folks here support besides b if I may ask?

Posted by: David G Horsman | Jan 10 2022 18:55 utc | 6

b, thank you so much for providing the collective brain this space. I am a film editor working on projects about a bunch these subjects. Your analysis and the comments from all the smartypants who comment have made my life a whole lot easier.
God willing things will get better.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Much love to b and the MoA community. lex talionis.

Bernhard, I promise I'll drop a donation to your - truly excellent - website, when you get your head straight about the covid swindle, and the disastrously-lethal/crippling, but otherwise ineffectual poison-stabs; and say so publicly on your website. Till then, good journalist, no dice. I'll continue to read your output, but no cash till you get covid right.

Show some really outstanding stature, Bernhard: face the fact that you, along with a lot of other highly savvy people, have been conned by the swindle along the lines that Mattias Desmet has been expounding, confess it publicly, and recant. You'll be a bigger man when you do. - Rhisiart Gwilym

A modest suggestion.

B raises the issue of technocratic suppression of public debate. The major search services are known to "massage" search results to advance the interests of their advertisers and reduce the exposure of the public to high quality, truly independent media.

Increasing the public awareness of MOA may best be achieved by having the MOA readership disclosing, or voting upon, the best of the available independent media.

The result would be a ranked list of the top 10 independent media sites. The list would need to be reviewed on a regular basis as some sites drop audience share due to strident suppression of certain viewpoints (The Saker) while others rise in esteem.

The workload on b would not be significant. I believe one end of month thread that invites the barflies to suggest the best independent media sites would be sufficient. The thread may accept posts explaining sites which have declined in audience acceptance and result in a Bottom 10 list.

In essence, this initiative would undermine the capacity of technocratic firms to shape public debate in favour of their own interests. If the initiative succeeds it may have considerable public effect.

A long illness gives time to read and to think about the wider world, but it does not bring in money. Going to see doctors for me has been nothing more than a financial transfusion to help maintain their life styles.
I read pieces from just a few ex Ambassadors and just a few Vietnam war era journalists when and where they appear and just two blogs. Yours and Andrei Martyanov's. You a German military officer that gravitated to the aircraft industry in later civilian life and Martyanov - a soviet naval officer who gravitated to the aviation industry in later civilian life.
I hope enough who can put in enough to keep you going.

I’ll do the email requesting details for a regular monthly standing order.

These shit stirrers who bark at your magnificent caravan daily moving with whatever subject they are given as the Narrative- can carry on f****** themselves.

There are a few old dogs like b who I rely on. And they don’t necessarily have the same opinions. That’s ok. I learn more.

The main enemy is MSM. It’s attack dog millionaires working for Bilionaires.

Selling to us the daily Narrative - lies mostly.

Here is Jonathan Cook a few days ago channeling why we gather at the bar and other such watering holes - so that we can fight the Narratives with Critical thinking. Bernhard is also brilliant at that. For which I am grateful whenever stoping by this bar. So are many of my fellow imbibers except for the few stirrers as above - redlines for them too soon hopefully?

https://www.mintpressnews.com/lesson-of-covid-people-anxious-isolated-hopeless-less-ready-critical-thinking/279380/

“This has been a steep learning curve for most of us.”

‘There are reasons why people are drawn to critical thinking. Often because they have been exposed in detail to one particular issue that has opened their eyes to wider narrative manipulations on other issues. Because they have the tools and incentives – the education and access to information – to explore some issues more fully. And, perhaps most importantly, because they have the emotional and psychological resilience to cope with stripping away the veneer of official narratives to see the bleaker reality beneath and to grasp the fearsome obstacles to liberating ourselves from the corrupt elites that rule over us and are pushing us towards ecocidal oblivion.’

‘To do critical thinking in a time of Covid – and most especially about Covid – is to add a big extra layer of anxiety, isolation, and hopelessness.’

‘When we are anxious and isolated, we want quick, reassuring solutions, and we want someone to blame. We want authority figures to trust and act in our name.’

& @ Sanjeev Chowdhury | Jan 11 2022 5:57 utc | 31

Yeah Bernhard, show some outstanding stature... let yourself be bribed.

Jeez!

That’s not only shameful Rhisiart, it’s stupid. Do you not see Rhisiart that if b kowtowed to you that way that he would be dishonest and not worthy of trust, and so why would you want to read his blog anyway? I’d ask how stupid can you be if I didn’t think you would take it as a challenge.

Same goes for you Sanjeev @ Jan 11 2022 5:57 utc | 31. Shame on both of you and anyone who thinks like that. It’s excusable to be ignorant if you are willing to learn, but that kind of stupidity is deplorable.

As Hal said in #17 it’s a bit small too. It’s small because you get so much more than just b here. There are a number of barflies who contribute good information and thought provoking opinions. To name just a few there’s the indefatigable karlof1, the inimitable Gruff, Roger, psychohistorian, c1ue, and certainly not least, the sage of Pueblo country, Juliania. (The list goes on and apologies to others not named.)

I disagree with b on his COVID opinion too and have spoken out strongly against his banning and censorship. Plus it’s likely that b and I support different football clubs.. But I’m kicking in what I can afford and if you Rhisiart, and you Sanjeev, had any respectability at all, you would too. You could show some intelligence that way because no matter what you give, what you get will be a bargain.

Posted by: waynorinorway | Jan 11 2022 13:39 utc | 42

Dear B, you are absolutely correct about the "latent" censorship. I will one day be switched in a overt one, but as long as we can enjoy this bit of freedom of media, i am contributing to your effort, just sent it per paypal.
On other topic - the FAZ is completely silent today (Tuesday, 11.01.22) on the talks between USA and Russia. One has to search deep to get to one short aticle from yesterday. These people there are stunned maybe?

Unfortunately, I need to agree with one other commentator. I wanted to donate, but it is really intrusive questionnaire as precondition for donation.
No, I am not giving my home address, telephone number just to send a donation.
I could swallow that is PayPal but all providing them so much of my personal details is out of question. Just a couple of days ago, I donated to a group of Russian musicians (Otava Yo) and it was a piece of cake (paid with Visa and transferred to Russia).

First and last name, visa card number, crc code and Verified by Visa 2FA. That was all.
Bernard, if they can do it, for sure you can do it too.

Stop pushing the government's COVID idiotology and you have my (financial) support back.
Why is it so hard for you to see the stark corruption in THIS field, when you are so excellent in pointing it out in other fields? Why do you swallow as truth the medical propaganda of Big Pharma hook, line and sinker; ignoring their criminal misconduct, when you have time and time again deciphered for your readers the intertwined propaganda and criminal misconduct of Big Tech, Military and Government agencies? Do you really believe this is any different? It is not. Lobbyists everywhere forming the narrative. When it comes to pandemic, logic and science have gone out of the window long time ago. Big money, Big data and the WEF freaks are ruling the debate, not medical frontline doctors and epidemiologists.
If you cannot find it in you to apply your stretegic analyst skills to this topic, then at least don't write about it. Please?

"The loss of visibility has led to less than the natural traffic growth on this and other sites. You can help to counter this by mentioning and linking to Moon of Alabama pieces on whatever 'social media' you might be. You doing so consistently will surely overcome the latent censorship."

We could fix this but we lack the knowledge and skills? That's not true. We suffer from the left inability to make a keep alliances. We fight like children.

Our numerous enlightened conservatives don't trust us or our resolve. They feel we have a distorted view of reality.

I have noticed, with the exception of a few US commentators, that US politics, analysts and elite are poorly understood. Glenn Greenwald is an example. Jeremy Scahill (closely related) is another.

That may be easily fixed but the larger problem requires a solution involving technology. In my view the cure may be worse than the disease.

Frankly, democracy involves a 100 IQ result whereas we need a 250 IQ, emotionally balanced approach grounded in natural law and human rights.

If we had it, nobody would want it. Human nature is in balance a disappoint although rational enough in an evolutionary context.

So what do we do b? Nothing I think. Everyone one I know just hopes it holds together long enough that they are already dead. I don't judge. It seems normal.

Us? We hang out in a bar and watch the freak show.

We have similar tastes. US and geopol is my study area as a student while social media is my target professionally.
Who I track is algorithm like and so only a few right wing and conservative Canadians popped up on media.

I would recommend Jordan Peterson's take on religion (only). He's the best Canada has in the public spaces. He's our poor man's version of Chomsky with all the negative and positive connotations that might imply.

He doesn't make claims he can't support. He readily admits his limits and ignorance when appropriate. I respect that even if he's a jerk occasionally.

Nobody besides me thinks he has a deeper insight into religion than other's. He does.

Religion works by being generally right (with many victim others). Even with all the fantasy and ignorance it works in balance over the long run. It provides group identity, common mores and values and social hierarchy.

Sure it's a nightmare but what human manifestation isn't? His Nietzsche like view (classic conservative) of humanity is correct as sad as that is.

His was a practicing psychologist therapist for many years and knows what makes humans tick. That said I frequently think of smothering him with a pillow.

I don't have to like him or what he says for him to be correct. Ditto our host. I now cc all my posts to republish later. Censorship and corruption are my interest within a biological paradigm for human behaviour.

What were red flags morphed into a case study, or should be if I had the interest.
What an stupid thing to loose trust over.

Hey I love b also.
Must say some people out there are afraid of this. I have sent the moon link and RT.com link to a Common chat site often. Result, my Google Pixel got hacked and these sites are blocked on my phone. What Im doing today, getting a new phone.

Kinda broke right now, but donated €75.00 under a different name/address than the one I use here. Will donate more when I'm a little more flush.

Hope it helps and please keep up the good work.

Forgot to mention it was via PayPal. As much as I hate that company it's just easier. Hope there weren't any big fees on your end.

B and Moon of Alabama has my highest respect as my first point of call for telling it like it is when all other sources are confusion and obfuscation. You will always have my full support, at least in terms of linkage and mentions, - until such time as I'm more able to support in more tangible ways - Unfortunately my channels are as suppressed as thine! Salute Comrade!

I am as close to homeless as you can get in the USA. I just sent about another US $23 totaling about maybe US $40. This blog is my main contact with the real world. Not perfect, but a little light that shines through the cracks. So the grass can grow.

(My big agenda is 'Simple Hedge Voting'.) More on that narrow topic on my own blog (soon to be announced)).

Get ready to get your pants scared off!

Bernhard, I tried to send you a donation from India. First I tried a credit card. That got me a message saying Donations to this recipient aren't supported in this country. Then I tried using a credit card through PayPal. I got the same message. Let me think of some other way of doing it. Thanks for your sincere work.

b, you're not taking donation from HK for some strange reason, with either my visa or mc.

ah, So it seems that I'm not the only person who has encountered this credit card issue。 Perhaps you would consider adding a link of Alipay or wechat pay or something similar? And they have lower transaction fees than traditional credit cards.😊
