Yeah, I love reading at the discourse in some articles and I don't necessarily have to agree with everything. Wish we have this kind of healthy environment on here as well.

I love such feedback. But I also need to eat and pay rent.

A modest suggestion.
B raises the issue of technocratic suppression of public debate. The major search services are known to “massage” search results to advance the interests of their advertisers and reduce the exposure of the public to high quality, truly independent media.
Increasing the public awareness of MOA may best be achieved by having the MOA readership disclosing, or voting upon, the best of the available independent media.
The result would be a ranked list of the top 10 independent media sites. The list would need to be reviewed on a regular basis as some sites drop audience share due to strident suppression of certain viewpoints (The Saker) while others rise in esteem.
The workload on b would not be significant. I believe one end of month thread that invites the barflies to suggest the best independent media sites would be sufficient. The thread may accept posts explaining sites which have declined in audience acceptance and result in a Bottom 10 list.
In essence, this initiative would undermine the capacity of technocratic firms to shape public debate in favour of their own interests. If the initiative succeeds it may have considerable public effect.

A long illness gives time to read and to think about the wider world, but it does not bring in money. Going to see doctors for me has been nothing more than a financial transfusion to help maintain their life styles.
I read pieces from just a few ex Ambassadors and just a few Vietnam war era journalists when and where they appear and just two blogs. Yours and Andrei Martyanov’s. You a German military officer that gravitated to the aircraft industry in later civilian life and Martyanov – a soviet naval officer who gravitated to the aviation industry in later civilian life.
I hope enough who can put in enough to keep you going.

I disagree with b on his COVID opinion too and have spoken out strongly against his banning and censorship. Plus it’s likely that b and I support different football clubs.. You could show some intelligence that way because no matter what you give, what you get will be a bargain.

Unfortunately, I need to agree with one other commentator. I wanted to donate, but it is really intrusive questionnaire as precondition for donation.
No, I am not giving my home address, telephone number just to send a donation.
I could swallow that is PayPal but all providing them so much of my personal details is out of question. Just a couple of days ago, I donated to a group of Russian musicians (Otava Yo) and it was a piece of cake (paid with Visa and transferred to Russia).
First and last name, visa card number, crc code and Verified by Visa 2FA. That was all.
Bernard, if they can do it, for sure you can do it too.

We could fix this but we lack the knowledge and skills? That’s not true. We suffer from the left inability to make a keep alliances. We fight like children.
Our numerous enlightened conservatives don’t trust us or our resolve. They feel we have a distorted view of reality.
I have noticed, with the exception of a few US commentators, that US politics, analysts and elite are poorly understood. Glenn Greenwald is an example. Jeremy Scahill (closely related) is another.
That may be easily fixed but the larger problem requires a solution involving technology. In my view the cure may be worse than the disease.
Frankly, democracy involves a 100 IQ result whereas we need a 250 IQ, emotionally balanced approach grounded in natural law and human rights.
If we had it, nobody would want it. Human nature is in balance a disappoint although rational enough in an evolutionary context.
So what do we do b? Nothing I think. Everyone one I know just hopes it holds together long enough that they are already dead. I don’t judge. It seems normal.
Us? We hang out in a bar and watch the freak show.

We have similar tastes. US and geopol is my study area as a student while social media is my target professionally.
Who I track is algorithm like and so only a few right wing and conservative Canadians popped up on media.
I would recommend Jordan Peterson’s take on religion (only). He’s the best Canada has in the public spaces. He’s our poor man’s version of Chomsky with all the negative and positive connotations that might imply.
He doesn’t make claims he can’t support. He readily admits his limits and ignorance when appropriate. I respect that even if he’s a jerk occasionally.
Nobody besides me thinks he has a deeper insight into religion than other’s. He does.
Religion works by being generally right (with many victim others). Even with all the fantasy and ignorance it works in balance over the long run. It provides group identity, common mores and values and social hierarchy.
Sure it’s a nightmare but what human manifestation isn’t? His Nietzsche like view (classic conservative) of humanity is correct as sad as that is.
His was a practicing psychologist therapist for many years and knows what makes humans tick. That said I frequently think of smothering him with a pillow.
I don’t have to like him or what he says for him to be correct. Ditto our host. I now cc all my posts to republish later. Censorship and corruption are my interest within a biological paradigm for human behaviour.
What were red flags morphed into a case study, or should be if I had the interest.
What an stupid thing to loose trust over.

I am as close to homeless as you can get in the USA. I just sent about another US $23 totaling about maybe US $40. This blog is my main contact with the real world. Not perfect, but a little light that shines through the cracks. So the grass can grow.

ah, So it seems that I’m not the only person who has encountered this credit card issue。 Perhaps you would consider adding a link of Alipay or wechat pay or something similar？ And they have lower transaction fees than traditional credit cards.😊

PayPal seems to have limited access to credit card payments for some countries/regions.
I am not aware of the (legal?) reasons.
Please email for other donation options at MoonofA @ aol.com (remove the blanks).
As for Alipay – It is a dealer/customer solution. I am still looking into how it would work for simple donations.

I made a payment to b two-three days ago, (Paypal) no problems, but yesterday and today another payment to an UK journal has been having “refusals” from my Bank in France (Credit card). In spite of me sending the request normally.
It may not be b’s site that is the problem.

He is Still on My Bookmark Bar, and I have deleted nearly everyone else.
Try Western Union, (that’s how my kid used to receive money to thank him, when he was 13 years old from kids all over the world, when he got the computer game working – so that all the kids could shoot each other in almost real time on the internet)
Some other kids just found our address, and stuck envelopes, addressed to my Son, anoynmously through our letter bos.
They sent him nearly enough money, to put (THEIR) Games Server in a London Docklands Data Centre…
He says we will have the fastest connections in the world (13 year old kids)
And they did. I did tell him not to put Windows on it..But he did. So after a week, I went with him to collect it, and bring it back home.
He rebuilt it in LINUX, and only asked me one question.
Dad, How do I configure The Security.
Took his Server Back into the Data Centre in London (13 Years Old – Now recognised) Same week
And Got The Live Teenage Game show Back on the Road.
Is it like that in Germany when you are 13?

As others have noted, COVID-19 awakened a lot of our eyes as to how insidious most media is, including so called indy sites like this.
And I absolutely **love** your opinions on geopolitics by the way.
Beyond that however,this place is just, in my opinion, controlled opposition.
Plus a lot of you predictions haven’t come true (lol)
I remember during Maidan, Ukraine in 2014 as good as the articles were above the line, the information contained below the line from readers was outstanding. (**SHOUT OUT TO PAVEWAY**).
Then good, honest folk got banned for being critical thinkers and asking genuine questions. And were even called “trolls”. And these were folk who had been here for years.
Now it feels like an echo chamber.
I believe you’re good man B…but eventually the stickiness gets to all you media folk and you chose your side.
