vk “the vaccines work” Posted by: uncle tungsten | Jul 9 2021 4:39 utc | 101 Ivermectin. Here’s a superbly concise summary of the latest facts from Brett and Heather, as they take their final question in the recent Q&A #86 of the Dark Horse podcasts. Posted by: Grieved | Jul 9 2021 6:30 utc | 109 Reminder, there are always rehearsals for the next “step” into domination of the masses – or even rehearsals of terrorists “game changer actions” (ie. 9/11, 7/7, Pre-Covid “pandemic” trials), before the real thing. Posted by: Odenwälder | Jul 9 2021 9:34 utc | 118 Gordog @116 Posted by: ADKC | Jul 9 2021 11:00 utc | 119 Here is a very typical piece of Western MSM disinformation about the HMS Defender’s violation of Russian waters. I have found maybe twenty or so similar such anti-Russian fake news stories on the internet. The story seems to be getting less press on the main MSM networks, perhaps because they realize it is merely a matter of time before the claims made get soundly refuted, which in fact they already have been. Posted by: Walter | Jul 9 2021 12:43 utc | 122 Political analyst Ricot Dupuy said (as told by Jamaican journalist Dave Rodney) : “Moise ran a criminal enterprise for a government and the country was effectively ruled by 9 gangs who had the president’s stamp of approval and his official consenting wink to launch a carnival of criminality, including a series of kidnappings to generate income. Haitians of limited means were forced to sell everything they had to pay the ransom to get their relatives back alive, and this often needed the help of family and friends in the Diaspora who had to cough up the US$200,000 to $400,000 bandit fee. In one particularly chilling kidnapping that was recorded and went viral, a church minister with clergy and choir members were kidnapped during their church service. The gang operations were ably supervised by a man called ‘Barbeque’, a feared and ferocious government terrorist. Guns were the currency on the streets, and some of these guns made their way to Jamaica. During Moise’s term in office, there were 11 state-sponsored massacres across Haiti in which hundreds of innocent lives were lost. The slaughters were primarily designed to instill fear among the people and to suppress any thoughts of opposition to and demonstrations against the government.” If that is all true, then it is hard to feel any sympathy for the hapless Moise. If anything, the adage that applies is: Stricto vive gladio, gladio morere transfixus! More from Haitian diplomat Raymond Joseph. Posted by: Maracatu | Jul 9 2021 12:52 utc | 123 Just to add a personal perspective to the Covid vaccine discussion. I am a true anti-vaxxer, although I converted later in life (mid-30s) so I’ve had several vaccines. I just decided to follow a fundamentally different route to health than the one that includes vaccines. So I genuinely believe that other methods of preventing and treating infectious diseases are preferable, overall, to a shot in the arm. Abandoning the scientific method means the advent of a new dark age and the gates of Hell (if you believe in it) are then wide open. This is where the “west” is heading unless people come to their senses. Posted by: Norwegian | Jul 9 2021 14:58 utc | 132 b @ 125, it should not be supposed that the participants in that discussion represent those whom they claim to represent. They do them great dishonor, which is not what Afghanistan needs. It is not what any country needs from its citizens. And that is a lesson to me. When we exaggerate the faults we see in our own countries, we don’t really help them prosper in the best sense of the term. Best to look to how we can make things better, not worse. I’m no expert on Haiti but this narrative is questionable. Further, it seems designed to supports the view that the assassination was entirely an internal affair.
It seems clear that the Haitian establishment hated Moise. His election was hotly contested and soon after his election a coup attempt was foiled. It’s worth noting that the Haitian establishment has not improved Haitian lives: Haiti remains severely impoverished (dependent on aid) and never really recovered from the devastating earthquake in 2010.
The referendum would have strengthened Presidential rule, including allowing for consecutive 5-year terms. Yes. There is evidence for. And yes, the virus then must be less well adapted thus less infectious. In https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S156713482100109X%22%20/l%20%22bb0120 paper by Frutos et alii a different evolution model for the virus and its disease is proposed. The virus was circulating for a longer period of time at several places, but only when different strains from different areas came together, the virus evolved into its recent, better adapted and more efficient form. The T-34 wasn’t, in isolation, the best tank of WWII by any means. In practice, however, it was, because it did the job in large quantities. c1ue @ 149 thanks for responding. As james has pointed out (thank you, james!) the entire process began years back, with the gain of function experiments in both China and the US, (when the labs were interchanging samples and trying to anticipate the next SARS event.) You have to follow the process. The motivation wasn’t criminal at that stage, nor was it secret. It certainly was ‘a bridge too far’ and the process was shut down as dangerous for some time.
