Hi MAX. Try this i’view of M Hudson. I used it to open s/o to MH’s work yet I knew I had near zero cred to do that. Instead, gave him this link to learn WHO MH is…then this s/o might himself reach for MH’s work.
Of course, I only have my opinion that MH is helpful. Part of his cred is his self-effacing honesty. This has enabled me to shlog thru a lot of MH writing that I do not understand. His cred even forces me to look-up words in the dictionary…such a pain in the ass!…but I do learn a lot about my…ummm. stupidity.

We now have two corrections to earlier suppositions about the vaccines that appeared here, as well as all over the web, a week or two back: (1) the “vaccines” are not killing two people for every three they save, and (2) the CDC is not rigging the PCR test cycles to show less re-infection with vaccinated people – or rather, they are, but their purpose may be benign.

So speaking of Brett and Heather…I’m watching their #86 Livestream, which is recorded and downloaded from a week ago, and which happened right before they went into the Q&A session I linked to above at #127.
They start off with two corrections to claims they made in an earlier show. This is useful to us because they correct a paper that we saw here a week or so back that suggested the “vaccines”, so called, of the west were killing two people for every three they saved. This paper has now been retracted, and Heather especially deals with the paper and its methodology and why it was right to retract it.
For us, we can take the bottom line that the findings are not sound, and the claim is not true, so we can check that off the list.
The second correction is the claim that CDC is requiring PCR test cycles of 28 or lower for vaccinated people when testing for breakthrough disease conditions. This remains true, but may not be part of the sinister ploy to distort the data that it appeared to be, because CDC is specifically looking for escape variants at this time, so it’s gone for the absolute sharpest accuracy of low threshold cycles it can use.
This raises other questions about prior policies, but let that drift for now. It’s still all pretty fishy. And clear directives from CDC are still impossible to find – there is undoubtedly an obscuring action at work.
Agencies such as CDC and WHO are not scientific bodies – they’re healthcare bodies but not science bodies, and they reflect policy as well as science. This second correction by Brett and Heather evolves into a discussion of the distinction between scientific investigation and investigative journalism.

What I like about Brett Weinstein and Heather Heying – and I’m sure what tens of thousands of other fans like too – is that they are both scientists and they discuss everything in scientific terms. They are essentially a living example of scientific method.
And all of this is incredibly nutritious to those of us who value scientific method, which is essentially the attempt, with rigor, to discern the relative truth of a set of things out of a reality that appears to us initially as chaos.
We are all trying to do this, and they have made the point that as living beings we are actually born with scientific method as a natural practice, and it is largely indoctrinated out of us as we grow.
So, scientific method is carried into practice in the 25-minute segment I suggest, and we also for ourselves can now dispel two claims that were found not to be real. Thus it is that we work our way through the illusions of this pandemic and establish the truths of it.

but the EU and the US is trying to make it their own way (they cannot count of on US aid for cash?!)

Can you comment if it is possible for a 757/767 airplane to fly at 500+ Mph at level flight at sea level (1200-1600 ft)?
My question would be about the dynamics of the structure of that jet at that speed. My understanding is that the higher speeds were for higher elevations where the air was much thinner.
Would flight at low elevations at something at or approaching cruising speed would be hard on the structure, set off multiple cockpit alarms, and possibly lead to structural failure?

b @ 125, it should not be supposed that the participants in that discussion represent those whom they claim to represent. They do them great dishonor, which is not what Afghanistan needs. It is not what any country needs from its citizens. And that is a lesson to me. When we exaggerate the faults we see in our own countries, we don’t really help them prosper in the best sense of the term. Best to look to how we can make things better, not worse.

You are still avoiding the problem of where COVID came from.
A lab leak from bio-weapons research denotes incredible incompetence combined with the bottled lightning of the discovery of the secondary infection path used by COVID.
Possible as is almost anything, but something which requires extraordinary evidence.
Nor is the “COVID circulating for months” before outbreak credible. We know for a fact that COVID spreads very easily and rapidly – this has been documented over and over in the past year plus.
If COVID really were out in the wild for months – there should have been outbreaks in urban areas long before March/April 2020. The only way the “COVID was out for months” theory works is with yet more deus ex machina type of coincidences: COVID was out but with either a much less virulent form or in some type of controlled, dispersed population with no travel to speak of.
As for “prepared to use it”: I am quite unclear why this matters.
Determined, smart people will try to make lemonade from lemons – so what? It doesn’t guarantee they created the lemons. This isn’t even like 9/11 where the concept of using a plane as a weapon was invented years before in a popular book.

I’m no expert on Haiti but this narrative is questionable. Further, it seems designed to supports the view that the assassination was entirely an internal affair.
While critics claim that Moise was becoming a dictator, Moise hadn’t seized power and thrown off democracy, he was proceeding in an orderly, legal way to change the Constitution in a way that would strengthen the Presidency but preserve democracy. And countries with problems as deep and dire as Haiti generally need a strong executive.
Moise appears to have respected Democracy, saying that he would hold elections and step down at the appropriate time. DW explains the controversy over Moise’s term:

According to Haiti’s constitution, presidential terms last for five years. In the presidential election of October 2015, Moise was elected, but the election was annulled because of fraud. It seems clear that the Haitian establishment hated Moise. His election was hotly contested and soon after his election a coup attempt was foiled. It’s worth noting that the Haitian establishment has not improved Haitian lives: Haiti remains severely impoverished (dependent on aid) and never really recovered from the devastating earthquake in 2010.
Rather than seizing power like the dictator he was accused of being, Moise was seeking to strengthen executive power via a constitutional referendum. The opposition called for Haitians to boycott it:

Haiti announced the postponement of the constitutional referendum that was originally scheduled for June 27.
The constitutional referendum would have been the first referendum in the country since 1987. It was unilaterally proposed by the Jovenel Moise administration even as the opposition kept up calls to boycott the event.

The referendum would have strengthened Presidential rule, including allowing for consecutive 5-year terms.

I’ll keep repeating: the secondary infection path used by COVID was unknown to science before the pandemic. “Developing” COVID is thus non-trivial since it wasn’t even known to exist – and would require a lot of testing to both find it and to understand what it can do.
Yet again – it is possible but so unlikely as to be risible: that they’re brilliant enough to develop COVID, competent to spread it in China untraceably and to keep secret the development and subsequent spread, but not competent enough to understand the result would benefit China and hurt the US and its allies the most?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
I still see nothing but flailing as opposed to hard data.

1) Social-Democracy’s charm during the inter-war and Cold War periods lied in the fact that it could claim to be the true moderates. It could claim to have “good sense”, to be “the adult in the room”, to “adopt the best of the two worlds”. With the fall of the USSR, the “left side” of the world’s political spectrum ceased to exist and, with that, the left side of Social-Democracy. A center-left policy is only a center-left policy if there is a left policy. As a result, Social-Democracy degenerated to a bunch of naive dreamers with cookie-cutter, outright infantile and utopian proposals. Put in other words, the social-democratic policies became something out of context without the threat of the true thing coming from the USSR. A moderate position is only a moderate position when the extremes are a realistic possibility – without pressure from the extremes, the center becomes just a bunch of morons or, best case scenario, a bunch of minor bureaucrats. The same is true for trade-unionism (which is strongest in the UK): the unions were just a fearsome force when there was a realistic threat of they taking power from the bourgeoisie and founding a proletarian dictatorship; said threat being gone, the capitalists could easily absorb whatever strikes or general strikes that came and crush them in the following political cycle.
2) the UK is a capitalist economy, which means decisions about the economy including production sites and stocks are decided by the private sector, not the public sector. It would take a very intricate and heavy tribute of taxpayer money in the form of heavy subsidies to convince the private sector, in this context, to move an inch towards the desired policy.

I suspect, that what see from India is just propaganda.

@ Walter, again thanks! About my earlier discussion on space tech, that was under B’s article about China’s space station. My original comment is here, but there are several lengthy follow-up discussions in the same thread.
@ Serduk and Circumspect, who have questions about the 767s that flew into the towers:
Okay, the short answer is that yes, I think it would be possible for a 767 to fly at 3,000 ft at the very high airspeed that was clocked by ATC radar.
Here is the radar data that shows the altitude and speed of UA Flight 175.
Note that the airplane was in a very steep dive!
It dropped 15,000 ft in just two and a half minutes, which is a descent speed of 6,000 feet per minute. That’s about FOUR times the rate of descent you would normally fly from 10,000 ft to the approach to landing, which is about 1,500 fpm.
This would have the airplane nosed over quite a bit and you would never do that under normal circumstances, especially low to the ground.
So it’s not a question of engine thrust. Even with the engines at idle an airplane nosed over steeply, it will drop like a rock and even hit sonic velocity!
Douglas did that in a special test flight in 1961, with their then-new DC8. Something of an engineering ‘stunt’ if you will, but they wanted to show how sturdy the airplane is. [That was a really good plane, btw].
They actually hit M 1.01. That was the first passenger jet to go supersonic, about a decade before the Concorde and Tu144! A nice writeup on that in Smithsonian Air & Space mag.
The bigger question here about the 767 and the towers is whether the airplane will be CONTROLLABLE!
Note on that DC8 dive that the horizontal tailplane elevator became ineffective when they tried to pull up [by pulling back on the stick]. So what the pilot did was to nose it down even more, to unload the tailplane, and then use trim to raise the elevator and nose it back up.
Incidentally, this maneuver, called the ‘roller coaster,’ was also taught in earlier versions of the 737 [also 727 and 707]. It was in the pilot’s flight manual up until about the 737-400 version, if I recall. Then they dropped that maneuver, which pilots sometimes called the ‘yo-yo.’
This maneuver might have helped those two 737 MAX that were lost after that MCAS nosed the airplanes down. At some point, pulling back on the stick will NOT raise the nose. You have to nose over even more to unload the tail, and then use trim. Shows how things have gone downhill with Boeing in some important ways.
Anyway, back to that radar chart. Note that the highest speed recorded was at 13,000 ft. At this point, the airplane was over its caution speed [yellow arc on airspeed indicator] by only 20 knots. At 3,000 ft it was flying slower, but the indicated airspeed [calibrated] was over the max caution speed by 37 knots.
I don’t think that’s going to make the airplane fall apart. So these speeds are possible, I would say.
Now that’s just an opinion, because nobody has ever flown such speeds that close to the ground.
The DC8 test pilots reported some buffeting at about M 0.96, but then it smoothed out.
So I’m pretty sure the airplane can take that speed without falling apart. I say this because the biggest danger to airplane structures is TRUE AIRSPEED, which is what causes aerodynamic FLUTTER.
Flutter is a divergent vibration that causes things like ailerons, tailplanes and even wings to depart the airplane. It’s not just a matter of the greater dynamic pressure [indicated airspeed] of flying fast in dense air at low altitude.
The DC8 didn’t go into flutter at much higher TRUE airspeed. This is the key.
Here is the B767 V-G diagram. You can see the caution range goes right up to 420 knots calibrated airspeed, in the yellow shaded area on the right of the graph.
But also note that the g scale is the vertical scale on the left. so the airplane can actually do 420 knots while pulling 2.5 positive g!
That’s a lot of stress on the airframe at that speed, and this would have been flight tested during certification—which is where the V-G diagram comes from.
So I would say, again, that there is no compelling reason to think the airplane should fall apart.
What I consider VERY UNLIKELY is how even a very capable pilot is going to maintain control at these speeds, and fly it into a building, that from even just a mile away looks like a postage stamp!
And that mile would pass in just 6.5 seconds at this airplane’s speed!
These ‘hijackers’ never flew a jet before? Draw your own conclusions.
PS: as for the question of whether the airplane could hit these speeds going straight and level, ie is there enough engine thrust? I would say probably there is, but I would have to do some number crunching.
I base this on the climb performance of passenger jets, which is quite impressive. Climb performance is a function of excess thrust, and we are climbing out at 300 knots indicated and 2,500 fpm in a triple seven [and similar in most others, since thrust to weight is going to be similar].
This is purely academic of course, since they were in a dive, so thrust doesn’t matter. But if someone is interested, I can crunch the numbers and see what we get, out of curiosity, lol!

And as if made to order, Pepe Escobar reports on the meetings in Moscow between the Afghan government then the Taliban with senior Russian officials. Much could be cited, but IMO this is key:

There have been lots of pranks on the internet showing Covid-19 test-kits producing positive results using lemon juice, orange juice, kiwi fruit and fizzy drinks (bizarrely, this are all high sources of citric acid ie. vitamin C). The ‘i’ newspapers confirm that these methods of “fooling” the test-kits are known to be true.
And, of course, who can forget the President of Tanzania (I know many of you have), John Magulifi, who got a positive result from a Covid-19 test-kit using a papaya fruit (btw another excellent source of vitamin C). Strangely, John Magulifi has since died of Covid-19 and the new President has adopted a more compliant attitude and is being rewarded with phone calls from the US Secretary of State :

Absolutely agree. I’m not a structural engineer [I do know the basics of structures]. But I have a solid background in thermodynamics and heat transfer. I have studied the official documents about the heat part and they are absolutely ridiculous!
There is no bona fide heat transfer analysis whatsoever, lol! it is for the circular file, nothing more!
Btw, this is a kind of specialist area of engineering that is used by people who design heat exchangers in things like nuclear plants and other challenging applications, like aircraft and rocket engines—so not very many folks well versed in this science, and I have not come across anyone who has written about this regarding the official claims about the buildings.
I have already commented a bit on the aircraft control and piloting skill issue. Also impossible to believe the official narrative!

I am not at all informed about Haiti and as you said you aren’t either so our conversations have a wide margin of error which doesn’t usually stop most of us from trying to make some sense out of a situation. Again, I see Haiti as a dystopic country hollowed out by France and u.s. imperial monsters. The people are almost 100% against Moise but are also apparently do not want the U.S. to overtly take over. The assassination was likely either U.S. supported/ordered or drug cartel sponsored but they are the same.

• Moise was hated by the Haitian establishment from the start – an establishment that has failed Haiti;

I do not know where the COVID virus came from and neither do you. It could have been a lab leak or it could have come from some intermediary host that has not been identified.
COVID certainly could have existed for months before the Chinese identified it, simply beause it’s symptoms are very similar to the flu and even a bad bronchial cold. Some have even suggested that the vaping issues in 2019 may have been COVID. I do not see a problem there.
William Gruff has addressed the point of the idiocy of releasing such a pathogen.

We do not know all the psychopaths in the intelligence communities, but we certainly have seen a few adorn the recent US admin, the Boltons and Pompeos, so yes, they might come up with the “bright idea” of doing something that the rest of us would consider idiotic. They might very well have believed that they could contain it and create some useful chaos in China, which it very well might have. I do not know.
But the fact is, we do not know whether the virus leaked from a lab or came through nature. There is insufficient evidence for either at the moment.
