Other issues:

Myanmar / Fake news:

> At least 82 people were killed in one day in a crackdown by Myanmar security forces on pro-democracy protesters, according to reports Saturday from independent local media and an organization that keeps track of casualties since the February coup.
…
The Associated Press is unable to independently verify the number of deaths.

The death toll of 82 was a preliminary one compiled by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, which issues daily counts of casualties and arrests from the crackdown in the aftermath of the Feb. 1 coup that ousted the elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi.

Their tallies are widely accepted as highly credible because cases are not added until they have been confirmed, with the details published on their website.
…
The online news site Myanmar Now also reported that 82 people had been killed, citing an unnamed source involved with charity rescue work. <

—
Ahh, the Myanmar version of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in Britain:

The "Assistance Association for Political Prisoners" is run from Thailand by Ko Bo Kyi who is a fellow of the CIA offshoot National Endowment for Democracy. Myanmar Now does not say who finances and runs it but its donation account is with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney. The National Endowment for Democracy lists 77 current grants for organizations related to Myanmar / Burma with an average grant size of some $75,000. That's a hell lot of money in a rather poor country.

The whole anti-government protests are now obviously a 'regime change' operation run by the CIA. It includes 'moderate rebels' who are killing soldiers. But the real target is not Myanmar but China's Belt and Roads projects in Myanmar like pipelines, railways and harbor operations in the country. That is why Chinese companies in Myanmar are set on fire. There is no chance for this operation to win against the ruling military so all this will just fuck up another country 'because we can'.

Covid-19:

Brexit:

I am on the record saying that Brexit will blow up North Ireland and that it is likely to leave the Union.

The Brexiteers made three promises with regards to Brexit and North Ireland:

    • Leaving the single market and custom union with the EU
    • No border between North Ireland and Great Britain
    • No border between North Ireland and the Republic of Ireland

These three promises are logically incompatible. Only two of the above can get fulfilled at a time.

Media:

The New York Times knew of an upcoming Israeli attack on an Iranian ship but did not publish about it,<

> Haaretz and others have reported that an individual who leaked the operation’s details asked the reporter to wait with its publication, after the defense establishment had decided to postpone it by one day.
…
Eventually, the operation was successfully carried out a day after its original date. Its details were then published by the media outlet that originally received the leaked information – presumed to be The New York Times. <

Thank you for the quote from the naked truth. It is truly amazing that the USA legal system itself is an obstruction to enforcing US law, particularly a law that derives from the foundations of ‘do no harm’ protect human life.
All this nothingness at law or judicial review in a nation that will lock people up for a faulty tail light, a reefer, attending a demonstration, publishing news. But a global threat to the extent that it might lead to planetary annihilation of life forms and we find the judicial system that pretends to regulate abuse by the administration is inept, colonised, a captive of a foreign nation.

So Putin took the call from dithering Joe Biden. They will meet in Vienna in a week or so to yarn about Ukraine and perhaps one or two other pastimes.
No USA president since Kennedy IMO has met with a hardened and alienated President of Russia as is Putin. The next week or so will be fascinating to watch the Zelensky zionist keep a firm grip on the reins of the Galician SS and their war dogs.
I suspect that Biden dreams his phone call might hold Syria back from retaking its stolen lands as Russia may be thwarted from assisting. We shall see.
I don’t believe anything other than a Ukrainian respite will eventuate.

RE: post Apr 14 2021 22:13 utc |# 200
Your arguments still seem to me to be unjustified, spurious even.
“As to “simple interest”, the question remains as to why is the device interest sacrosanct? Are we to understand that it is ‘impossible” to have an effective financial system for a healthy economy without interest? Why is this topic not on the table?”
So your argument appears to be that all “fees” whether called interest or not for the use over time of money/resources which you didn’t have to begin with are unreasonable???
Is your argument that there “should be” some economic system where use of all resources should be without charge or even return?
“And the related question is this:…is the claim that sans public banking based on the same model as that devised by the bankers, it is not possible to effectively finance public works?”
That may be your question but it isn’t mine. Nor does it seem germane.
The public has the collectively agreed upon, not privately dictated, option to allocate the use-fee of the economically necessary “grease of trade and commerce” for collective benefit instead of going to private benefit – actually that appears to be a no-brainer.
“Banking is a profitable business.”
Certainly true when run by private interests for private corporate benefit. Especially if there is zero upfront cost for the creation of that which is used to generate interest and fees.
And public banking need not be run for “profit”, especially “profit” distributed to private interests, since it, Public Banking, only absolutely needs to cover expenses of management, instead of the additional cost of “dividends” paid to private owners who do nothing at all to justify their private parasitic vampirish extraction of wealth/value from the community.
The “earnest money” paid to cover those operational expenses CAN be adjusted so the cost of having access to and using the publicly generated “grease”, which you didn’t have but needed, CAN be used for creation of public hard assets or necessary public services, offsetting any other necessary means of levying and collecting the required funds for those things.
The whole point is the Community benefits any way you cut it, instead of loosing; which is what is inevitable when banking and the magical creation of the “beans” or “grease” of commerce is privately licensed out (given away) and unearned wealth is then extracted for private interests and private use.
Essentially such a private system becomes a license to rob the public through magical “lawfare”. That is what has been the case since the government giveaway which established a Private Banking System.
Are you arguing that there is an economic system where there would be no need for commerce? and no need to be allowed access to that which you didn’t have when creating longterm physical assets for yours and perhaps others present and future use?
Look around at where the standards of living have been and are continuing to improve for the community members. Look around you right here and what do you witness?
A responsibly run Community/society keeps the provision of free public education through university as well as free universal healthcare (as opposed to private for profit education and “sick care” for profit) as self evident most value returned for investment clear priorities.
Healthy communities focus on nurturing, supporting and developing its Human Capital. Private Banking, which is by its nature unearned extraction of wealth and value from society is purely parasitic with zero responsibility returned for the well fare of anyone but the private owners, the least of all the community it feeds on.
You appear to me to be trolling this whole thing.

Further to the three satellites blasted outta space past three weeks…
rEmember the time Pompass went to Tel aviv, summoned the mininster of defence, MOSSAD to the embassy for closed door meeting ?
Within 24 hrs.
The Chinese ambassador was found dead in his home.
Next thing we know, the Haifa port deal was declared null and void.
A website allegedly connected to FUKUS intel suggested that the death of ambassador Du was tit for tat to the death of US space force commander !
https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/your-air-force/2020/05/13/peterson-afb-commander-found-dead-at-home/
Meaning Du was bumped off by CIA/MOSSAD [No problem with that, which’s my first thought] to avenge falzarano.
But why’d the chicoms killed Falzarano FFS, ?
uNLike CIA/MI6, WET jobs aint chicoms cup of tea, besides, whats the motive ?
After some digging, it turned out China space launch suffered two consecutive failures in Mar/Apr 20, unprecedented in its launch history, around the time US SPACE FORCE was officially launched with much fanfare.
So the suggestion was….

1]FUKUS took out two Chinese satellites, Mar 20
2]chicom retaliated by killing falzarano,
3]Then CIA avenged his death by murdering ambassador Du !

[1], [3] was exactly my thought.
As for chicom killing falzarano,
its more pure and adulterated gringo BS.

Below is a short Xinhuanet posting about the US sending folks to Taiwan to piss off China
”
BEIJING, April 14 (Xinhua) — China has lodged solemn representations with the United States over the U.S. government sending a delegation to the Taiwan region, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Wednesday.
Spokesperson Zhao Lijian made the remarks at a press briefing when commenting on U.S. President Joe Biden sending a delegation of former U.S. officials to Taiwan, scheduled to visit the island from Wednesday to Friday.
Reiterating China’s firm opposition to any form of official contact between the United States and Taiwan, Zhao noted that this position is consistent and clear.
“We urge the United States side to strictly abide by the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiques, immediately stop any form of official contacts between the United States and Taiwan, prudently handle Taiwan-related issues, and refrain from sending any wrong signals to the ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist forces so as to avoid further damage to China-U.S. relations and peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait,” the spokesperson said.
”
I see that Russia seems to have been successful in getting Ukraine quieted down but neutering empire about Taiwan should prove to be more interesting since it does not seem to be a military confrontation….is this where the global economic shoe drops in some way?

I hope it does, this is gonna sink the LDP, and it’s gonna be huge change in Japan.

Poor Cambodia, they might be close to China, but only on the business side, their state revolution was unironically stopped when the corrupted Sihanouk returns.

Japan has authorized only the Pfizer, and it is slowly starting to vaccinate only the medical staff as of now. Seem they know that the rest is to no avail. Athletes were told they would have to leave within 48 hours after their game, + be vaccinated + have several tests while there. Many won’t accept that and the “little” blood clot problems will convince some to wait a bit more. Some of them have money, and know the money they value, so why should they accept to be guinea pigs (unlike those:

Yeah, nobody’s in hurry to get a vaccine, I don’t know what the pro-vaxxers are even thinking.
It’s quite clear to me, seeing the increased rate worldwide that vaccines don’t work, what works best is prevention.

Vaccines do not work? Uh check Israel, UK, nations which have vaccinated more people than any other country, cases and deaths are constantly going down.
Israel, cases are now 190 a day. In january it was 10000.
https://graphics.reuters.com/world-coronavirus-tracker-and-maps/countries-and-territories/israel/
Same with the UK. 1730 cases a day now.In january it was 57000.

Hmm, that Britain fall indeed seems very significant.
I was just thinking of Brazil.

Smith
Thats true, although Brazil has not vaccinated as much people yet and I believe they have a big problem with the mutation and also a underdeveloped hospital care in some regions.
I general the vaccines seems to have low to very low protection against the mutations…

re. Public Bank
I think taking that power from the corrupt and unproductive banks and handing it to “the people” (the government bureaucracy) is a bit simplistic.
Rather I suggest that any liens and interest resulting from secured debt should belong to the public. Banks to receive payment for services related to making and servicing debt – public/private utility. Of course they only recently completed deregulation of the banking system – they are headed in the opposite direction because they do not serve the public interest.

As of this a.m. the vaccination rate in U.K. is reported as 12.3%. Either ‘cases’ or deaths currently reported would be from infections occurring when the vax rate was even lower. The drop in U.K. covid is caused by something else.
One of the sickest parts of this pandemic is that logic is thrown out the window entirely. Those without logic or reason scream the loudest. Loudest screamer wins.

Posted by: oldhippie | Apr 15 2021 14:39 utc | 218

Vaccination in UK and Isr was made under very strict lockdown conditions, including limited travel and strict qurantine. Other countries do not apply that, although it should be rule n°1.
It makes sense that once vaccinated under strict conditions, the 70+ ppl who formed the majority of the deadly cases do not get affected. The problem is that they react well to the vaccine, because of their reduced immune system, in comparison with younger ppl who do blood clots!
That’s what I gather from reading the MSM. No med background here.
I now know 3 ppl who used ivermectin while having covid and got fine very quickly. But in Europe, you still need a prescription, and even vit. D is not properly advertised, not to imagine it could be simply distributed.

Everything You Need to Know About Israel and Its Mass Vaccination Campaign
GILAD ATZMON • APRIL 10, 2021
1:44 hr

In this interview with Piero San Giorgio I delve into the most problematic aspects of Israel’s mass vaccination campaign and the authoritarian nature of the new Covid religion. I examine the correlation between vaccinations, mutants and death. I explain why Britain, Israel and other Vaxi-nations are desperate to vaccinate their entire populations. These countries are basically attempting to eradicate the control group (Control group is the standard to which comparisons are made in an experiment e.g. comparison between the vaccinated and the non-vaccinated).
