How Many Songs? How Many Glasses?

The crazies at Hamburg's miniature wonderland used the lockdown to create a classical music medley and quiz.

Astonishing that they spent time to built such a magnificent background for this video.

The making of the above with English subs is also on their Youtube channel. My personal favorite of their modelscapes is the airport.

What a hoot!

Thanks for sharing.

Yes, us humans can do other things besides blowing each other up for profit

This is impressive. I'll drink to that! Nitida it is, rather full bodied Sauvignon from Cape Town.

I'll give it a try.
Not very many places can do this. South Africa is on the list.

Cheers for that, B.

Hamburg is my fav European city. Was at Miniature Wonderland a few years ago. The airport is just amazing. My fav was one underwater scene with a cow wearing SCUBA gear!

I counted 27 or 28 songs

Sauvignon blanc is a magical grape and Sancerre is really home of Sauvignon. For lovers:

"Chapeau bas, les artistes !"

How long before "Russia weaponized modelscapes"?

How Many Glasses?
The crazies at french wonderland used the lockdown too.

"Some of a bitch" ...with assault weapons

450€ fine for having a drink at the beach. Really expansive "Sauvignon"

But does the train run on time or in time?!

Thanks b.

Posted by: tucenz | Apr 5 2021 19:29 utc | 10

Crazies indeed. I just watched the airport video and I agree it was very well done. The part of the landing and take-off was great. Not that it matters but using transparent rods like acrylic would be even better.

that is really insane and many people have a lot of free time on their hands!

Posted by: james | Apr 5 2021 20:22 utc | 12

no free time!! they are paid for it!
i like the luna park!

@duncan, It's a good wine. I have this shop which sells interesting underdog wines from South Africa because the market of french wines is too hard to make a living from :)

Hmm, filmed by a camera crane, a drone, manually?
Seems that the episode in the tunnel speaks in favor of the drone.

Thanks b, attention to detail is amazing. Guess they glued the glasses down?

Posted by: vetinLA | Apr 6 2021 0:05 utc | 19

Thanks for this Bernhard. I forwarded the two videos to my engineering and modeling friends and family, and everyone else too.

Hey alaff, did you see the later part of the train footage as one guy is following the train around with his handheld phone filming, and then passes it smoothly to another person on the other side of the track to continue. There is space on each side of the track for the camera person.

I counted 13 passes over the track during the entire run, you can see one about 08:16. Not sure about the tunnel sequence though, I think there was a window to the left of the train to film through.

And it must go throughout the entire model world, with harbour, mountains, airport, town and volcano!

Tres magnifique.

Many thanks. My faith in humanity is restored.

( I went to school as a percussion major. I still have those same mallets! Sounded good on a rosewood marimba the school had.)

At 00:52 there is a model of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg designed by the Swiss firm Herzog & De Meuron. The building design was begun in 2001 and completed in 2016. <>

For the cynics in the bar, who wonder, why is Canada sucking up to Germany??

The Tweet contains the CDC warning all US citizens to “avoid all travel to Canada” due to the high level of COVID-19. (But that CDC warning is in place for almost every country, according to another Tweet in the replies.) Not that the border between our countries is open yet, but...
