Moon of Alabama Brecht quote

The MoA Week In Review - OT 2021-015

Last week's posts at Moon of Alabama:

> [E]very U.S. president since Bill Clinton has, at Israeli insistence, signed a secret letter upon entering office that effectively pledges the United States will not “press the Jewish state to give up its nuclear weapons so long as it continued to face existential threats in the region.”
...
the U.S. government has promulgated a regulation—described in the U.S. Energy Department’s Classification Bulletin WPN-136 on Foreign Nuclear Capabilities—that threatens government employees with severe punishment if they acknowledge Israel has nuclear weapons. Naturally, the regulation is withheld from public release. <
> "Nothing has changed. Biden claims that Trump's policy of maximum pressure was maximum failure... But for all practical purposes, they are pursuing the same policy," he said.
...
Elsewhere in his remarks, Zarif said that those alleging that the JCPOA has to encompass more subject matters than it already has should be sure that it will “absolutely not.”

The US and some of its regional allies have demanded that Iran’s missile program and regional influence be included in the nuclear talks. Tehran has roundly rejected any such prospect, saying it will not renegotiate “a done deal” and that its defensive activities and regional might are not open to any negotiation. <

> And in fact, Joe Biden’s administration will not cancel anything which was done by Donald Trump except for leaving the World Health Organisation (WHO). The Democrats are returning there now. <

Other issues:

Xinjiang:

The piece below partly builds on our previous one: Why Do These Uighur Witnesses' Stories Constantly Change?

Sputnik Vaccine propaganda fail:

> “We still wonder why Russia is offering, theoretically, millions and millions of doses while not sufficiently progressing in vaccinating its own people,” the European Commission’s president, Ursula von der Leyen, told a news conference this week. “This question should be answered.” <
> “There will absolutely be excess supply in Russia. I believe that around 30% of Russian-made vaccines will be ready for export,” said Vitaly Shakhnazarov, quality director at COREX, a pharmaceutical logistics firm working through Russia and Eastern Europe.
...
Kulish believes that the RDIF’s estimates of 30 million Sputnik doses manufactured monthly by March — 10 million of them in Russia and the rest in countries including Brazil, South Korea and Kazakhstan — may be conservative, and that by June the Russian pharmaceutical sector could overshoot its ambitions and produce up to 40 million jabs monthly. <

Covid-19 U.S. failure:

> The 2.7-year drop in life expectancy for African-Americans from January through June of last year was the largest decline, followed by a 1.9-year drop for Hispanic Americans and a 0.8-year drop for white Americans. <

Covid-19 On variants of concern:

  • In Kent - Patrick Cockburn / LRB
  • Eeek! - Rupert Beale / LRB

Boeing:

The cause was fan blade off (FBO) event on a Pratt & Whitney 4077 engine. This is the THIRD time this happens (UA1175 13 Feb 2018, JA8978 4 Dec 2020, UA328 20 Feb 2021). All incidents were contained and all three flights made safe landings. But one of these days an FBO will not be contained and a 777 will come down from such an incident. An FAA investigation of the 2018 event found unsafe procedures during P&W routine inspections of the fan blades : NDI Process Failures Preceded Boeing 777 PW4077 Fan Blade Off (FBO) Event (United Airlines N7773UA) - Aerossurane

If any body is following Scotland, the balloon is about to go up.

I've made my own suggestions. We'll see

24 February, 2021 at 11:21 pm
The harrassment enquiry was the lead item on ITV news at 10 tonight. Very badly reported as Salmond v Sturgeon of course. The UK media seem more interested in whether it will reduce support for independence rather than any facts

Stephen I agree. But we’ve got to change our thinking.

We know the media works on Salmond v Sturgeon, and it ain’t gonna change.

So we have to get our message out in those terms. For God’s sake, Salmond is still being the gentleman, and she has knifed him how many times?

What did she do with those two “genuine ” complainants, those two slices of reality about which to burnish her poison?

The Lord Advocate, or something working through his office, “instructed” the two complainants to file complaints with the police.

That’s what used to go on in Clarence House in the good old days.

They must be terrified.

Why is nobody telling the media?

The thing that this jeggit bloke posted.

I don’t see how it can possibly help the cause.
So far as I can see it simply makes Mr Jeggit the centre of attention.

The proprietor puts out fantastic intelligence every day. There is truly nothing like it in the blogosphere*. He gives us a laugh.

Why concern ourselves with”pure wind”?

*Narrow (Scotland) focus. (Broad focus would be Moon of Alabama)

Pardon my ignorance, but how would this affect the Scottish Independence Vote? I know Sturgeon is pro-Independence, but what about Salmond?

Goosey, old mate, you don’t seem to understand.

Sturgeon is not pro independence, and nor is the SNP so long as she remains leader.

Sturgeon is a lackey of the British Establishment and is feigning her desire for independence in order to gather up pro-independence supporters and then lead them down a blind alley

I think I get it now.
A MSP is forced to stand down, for what is a trivial offense. This is the time of me too, when every man is guilty of rape, and every woman is to be believed.

Ms 1 fears that this may be an opportunity for Alex Salmond to get back into Hollyrood. So she makes a charge of sexual harassment, just so that it is on the record for vetting purposes. We know this because this is what she said to the court.

Nicola and Liz get to hear about this. They look at each other and ask "….Do you think there might be any others?"

A fishing expedition ensues. They get two nibbles. Ms 2 and Ms 3.
Heavy investment is made into encouraging a concrete complaint from both.
They will be told harrowing tales about Ms 1. They will be told how she needs their support.
They will want to support their sister.

Judith McKinnon holds their hand all along the way. She writes their story. She hands this story to Leslie Evans, who nods gravely and pronounces Mr Salmond guilty as charged.

She passes the dossier to the police, who refuse it.
She announces that the report will be put on the record, meaning it is available under FOI
Meanwhile Ms 1 has quietly slipped away.

Mr Salmond seeks an injunction and a judicial review to protect his reputation.
"Someone" (Liz Lloyd) leaks the report to her ex at the Daily Record. Everybody knows.
Maximum damage to the reputation of Alex Salmond.

SNP government try to bleed him dry. Try every dirty legal trick in the book. Keep on going even though told they will lose by their own briefs.

Fearful of losing the judicial review, a second front is opened. Preparations had been made since December 2017, when Police Scotland were approached for the first time by Judith McKinnon.

An array of evidence is compiled. Police Scotland were pressurized to open an investigation.

The significance is that if Alex Salmond had been charged by the police, the judicial review would be "sisted". It would have been closed down and buried (rather like the Board meeting of Anglia Television got buried) and there would have been no defeat for Sturgeon and her gang.

With pressure, and a slow increase in the number of charges, the police did open an inquiry.
At that point the charges amounted to Ms 2 and Ms 3, together with Liz Lloyd, Mrs Booby and eight other SNP/Gov of a similar seniority.

You see how important Ms 2 and Ms 3 are to the plot. Without them there is nothing.
We know they were reluctant to go to the police.
We know they were betrayed by their sister, Leslie Evans, who took the material direct to the Crown Agent against their explicit wishes

Now we learn that they were "instructed" by the Lord Advocate, or by something acting through the offices of the Lord Advocate, to make their statements to the police.

Yes, there are animals involved here. But the animal is not Alex Salmond.

Those poor women have been abused just like the Lloyds Names were abused. They must be terrified.

I came across a doco today which should be essential viewing for MoA-ites. Entitled The Spider's Web - Britain's Second Empire it details exactly how the city of London was set up, how it runs and how it and the Bank of England exercise control which they claim not to have over the many trillions of dollars and sterling held in overseas financial territories - The Caymans, Jersey etc.
The tales are told by experts who have extensive experience and detail how developing nations are burned over and over again, contributing hugely to global capital far in excess of their alleged indebtedness, yet that indebtedness is the means that 'the west' uses to continue to exploit them.
According to bankers, economists and accountants involved in overseas finance more than 99% of the capital is used for illicit purposes, from tax evasion, to fraud, arms selling, election rigging to drug dealing.
As well as making the rich richer, overseas financial holdings have been the prime facilitator for the deindustrialization of amerika and england, that way ensuring the poor get poorer.
I found a copy on YouTube which is linked to above as I can't be f'd uploading it today.

Doubtless some of you will have seen this doco but if you haven't it is well worth a watch.

@309 John Cleary

Thanks. Yes, those poor women must be terrified. They were suckered in and then betrayed, all to get a false scandal out front to imprison Alex Salmond and thus preempt and thwart the real scandal of government procedural malfeasance. And the sub-text of the Scottish National Party being run from London as an obvious "sheepdog" to gull the people away from independence.

Commenters noted nominal underling David Harvie as Evans's probable MI5 handler. The first few dozen comments at Murray's site I read spoke often of LeCarre's "Bill Haydon-Percy Alleline" inverted relationship. Fascinating tidbit.

I just read Salmond's 4th Submission as presented by Murray. It really is a page-turner, as someone said. What a story emerges. What a cold stitch-up.

Everyone seems convinced this means the end of Sturgeon. I hope they all are correct. I know enough about establishment venality in general, and too little about the political scene in Scotland, to make such a guess.

But I am rooting for the ordinary and honorable people here - and there are many who appear in the submission, from the police to numerous jurists.

Thanks for all your posts here. I hope you're a regular.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you an American historian:

Will Anything Stop Putin’s Pet Project? Nord Stream 2, a direct pipeline from Russia to Germany, isn’t going away. Neither is the clamor to cancel it.

The guy is simply delirious.

However, his op-ed is very useful in order to understand what's going on in the Western mind, as he condensates all of its prejudices and myths in one single document. It's almost a Western Manifesto on the Easter and Central European geopolitical situation.

This is very interesting:

Asian-American civil rights group blasts critical race theory as ‘hateful, divisive fraud’ in fiery letter

The group described CRT as “heavily influenced by such hate promoters as Marx, Lenin, Gramsci, Schmitt, Marcuse, Foucault and Freire, but with race struggle replacing class struggle.”

[...]

Pointing out that CRT reduces everything to skin color, the CACA argues it will inevitably collide with immigrants who arrive “with little more than their human capital” and are “grateful to be here, work hard and educate their children hard, and believe in the American dream under the Constitutional guarantee of equal rights.”

[...]

The oldest Chinese-American association has announced a revolt against critical race theory. Many fled the Cultural Revolution in their home country—and they're not going to fall victim to the New Cultural Revolution in this country. Welcome to the fight, friends. Swords up!

Translation: do not speak against capitalism, in any form, intentionally or not. Or else...

More outstanding information about the interlinkages between Russia's government and its business sector through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. One outtake; the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Katyrin speaks:

"I would like to point out that thanks to the Government we organised webinars in the federal chamber, that is, we communicated with entrepreneurs all over the country, and invited a whole variety of services, ministries and departments to take part in them. Central Bank representatives spoke there several times, explaining all provisions, what financial tools to use and how to use them. Rospotrebnadzor also explained different positions frequently. Representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade also spoke at our webinars – practically all of them attended. I must say that none of those whom we addressed and invited to our webinars ever refused to participate. All the government bodies and services displayed understanding of their importance."

This arrangement is far healthier than that within the Outlaw US Empire for the Chamber of Commerce is subordinated to the national interest, not that of private business. How Putin and many other Russians have organized their national government from the ashes of the USSR and kleptocratic period IMO is outstanding and continues to be positively modified as shortcomings are discovered. That built-in ongoing reform is very similar to that of China's government, and like the latter has a feedback system that helps to improve governance.

Following it today in Scotland.

It's clear that all she's got is "those poor wee women. That animal Salmond and his behaviour."
And she'll hide behind it to the grave.

So we've got to deal with it, and we've got to be proactive.
So let's use our marketing expertise.
Can we segment the "poor wee women" market, whilst maintaining their anonymity?

It turns out that we can.

There are two segments.

There are the original two complainants who went through the Scottish Government "procedure".
Junior civil servants.
Working class women, who probably did it more to support Ms. 1 than for themselves.
These women are NOT liars.

Then there are the nine (later eight) complainers who by and large comprised the Whsapp group.
Powerful upper middle class women.

The original two (Ms 2 and Ms 3) did not want to go to the police at all.
Their stories were stripped from them by those acting for the British State

Twice

First, when Leslie Evans passed this most personal history to the Crown Agent, and through him to the police*.

Then again when something wicked "instructed them" to give those stories direct to the police in the form of signed statements.

The Whatsapp eight (bar one, Ms 1) did not go through the "procedure" at all.

They joined the action afterwards when it had already passed through the hands of David Harvie and James Wolfe.
I make the point here. All of these allegations were trivial, apart from the one that was proven not to have happened in court and under cross-examination. The attempted rape.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

When you separate the groups it is quite clear that only the working class women that have been damaged by this affair. They continue to suffer horribly. They are terrified of all that has befallen them, simply for "helping" another woman. Another woman who withdrew her own charges rather than get involved.

It is equally clear that this damage has been, and continues to be inflicted by Nicola Sturgeon, Leslie Evans, David Harvie and James Wolfe and their ultimate controlling mind, Queen Elizabeth II**.

The posh bitches with their fancy clothes and their impecable makeup have been touched by this not at all, only by the coming backlash..

No way at all are they part of the "poor wee women" market.

*The police, who got such a kick up the arse from somebody that 22 full time officers were assigned and more than 400 interviews conducted. Yet still they found no dirt.

**What Elizabeth II has going on here is a "Modified Enhanced Assange"

You've got the same two tentative complainants.
You have no intention of complaining.
Then force is applied. The police are involved in a criminal inquiry against their express wishes.

The enhancement comes in with the piling on by the nine posh bitches who provide the ballast for the Moorov Doctrine (see Craig Murray)

gamestop has reignited

Not by guy fawkes but more like the progeny of BCCI staging a lawless coup on wall street according to Wallstreetonparade.

It’s not just the nation’s Capitol that saw a lawless attempted coup this year. There’s an ongoing lawless coup taking place on Wall Street among stock manipulators who seem to be sending the message to the Biden administration, “we dare you to catch us.”

We continue to write about GameStop because it stands at the intersection of everything that is corrupt and broken in U.S. markets: from payment-for-order flow, to high frequency trading, to front-running, to Dark Pools, to hedge funds masquerading as market makers and lack of an audit trail at the Securities and Exchange Commission to shed daylight on the whole corrupt mess.

Just six days after some of the major players in the wild trading action of GameStop were hauled before the House Financial Services Committee and put under oath, the stock more than doubled in price yesterday. GameStop opened at $44.70 and closed at $91.71, a one-day gain of 103.94 percent.

As the chart above shows, the big action came shortly after 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon, like someone had rung a bell to start the bull raid. Adding to the suggestion that high frequency traders felt they had nothing to fear from the SEC or Congress, Dow Jones’ MarketWatch reports that a total of 83,111,740 shares of GameStop traded yesterday, which is 1.8 times the 45 million share float of the stock. (Float is the number of outstanding shares issued by the corporation that are available to trade. It excludes such outstanding shares as those owned by corporate insiders that are restricted from trading.)

Biden will, of course, do nothing "c'mon man the casino runs the show and you people will just have to get used to it."

Hindu supremacists will be furious. The courts have given a small pinch of justice to a Dalit.

After being imprisoned for over two years, on Monday, February 22, Varavara Rao, noted intellectual from Telangana, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court for six months on medical grounds.

The octogenarian activist, poet and professor has spent nearly 31 months in jail since his arrest in August 2018 under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Since his incarceration, he has been shifted twice to Mumbai’s JJ Hospital after his health deteriorated — first in May 2019 and again in July 2020 when he tested positive for COVID-19. A number of petitions had been moved over the last two years asking the state government to grant him bail on humanitarian grounds.

“With all humility and human considerations, we are of the opinion that this is a fit case for allowing the relief,” a bench of Justices S.S. Shinde and Manish Pitale opined. They further said,“We feel that with the condition of the under trial, it would be inappropriate to send him back (to jail from hospital). The bench, however, directed the poet to remain within the jurisdiction of the special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court and to not indulge in any “nefarious activity”. The judges stated that these bail conditions were “necessary for ensuring that the under trial on his own or those allegedly associated with him do not take undue advantage of the situation, which would ultimately adversely affect the trial.”

Rao’s declining health condition had been highlighted on several occasions. On November 18, the Bombay High Court had advised the Maharashtra government to shift him to Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital for 15-days treatment. According to senior lawyer Indira Jaisingh, he was completely bed ridden through prolonged periods and “(in November) when his catheter was not changed for three months, he developed a urinary tract infection.” There was a significant chance that the octogenarian might die in custody as a result of such neglect, she had argued, and that would be nothing short of a “custodial killing.” Rao’s lawyers and family have repeatedly pointed out that he suffered from a range of serious ailments, and needed immediate relief from imprisonment.
Elgar Parishad Case

Varavara Rao was one of the sixteen political prisoners arrested in the controversial Elgar Parishad case.

On December 31, 2017, Dalit [the former untouchable castes] organizations and other progressive forces in Maharashtra had organized a gathering to commemorate 200 years of Bhima Koregaon, a battle fought between the Peshwa, the Indian ruler dominating the region, and the British army. The latter’s troops, comprised largely of Mahars — a Dalit community of Maharashtra — had defeated the Peshwa’s army, and the event has since been commemorated as a symbol of Dalit assertion. The December 2017 gathering invited the wrath of Hindu right-wing groups, who attacked people visiting the site, killing a Dalit youth and injuring many others.

Good to hear of another prisoner of conscience being freed.

@John Cleary

True enough, but i think “posh bitches” and QE2 detracts from your central point.

Perhaps “inner circle” and “the british state” may have been better.

and I replied

Gordo, Thank you.

Yes, that is something I’ve considered as I’ve pondered these matters this past quarter century.

You see I think you are brainwashed. You are brainwashed not to confront the central issues.
Somebody on her feet for eight hours every day is not going to identify with this vapid bunch with their pompous titles. They are posh bitches – it’s a genre in women’s fiction.

It's interesting because we (Brits) are brainwashed. We dare not question the authority of Queen Elizabeth. We mention her name in hushed tones. It's so basic that it's instinct.

And that is quite deliberate.

And it is deliberate for this reason: the crimes are personal crimes, done by Queen Elizabeth personally.

It is Queen Elizabeth who swore before God that she would keep her promises.

She promised

Archbishop: Will you to your power cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all your judgements?

Queen: I will.

And she doesn't do it. She pretends she doesn't know what is going on in her name.
She pretends to "have no knowledge" about "powers at work in this country"

It's nothing more and nothing less than the plausible deniability gambit, on an enormous "big lie" scale.

How do we hold Queen Elizabeth to account if we are not allowed to talk about her. Look at El Gordo's comment. It's ingrained.

I wouldn't dream of writing this on a UK blog, because it would get taken down straight away.
