The only mass killings that constitute as genocide in Indonesia is the 1965-1966 Mass Killing (which of course many of Chinese Indonesian become victims). The rest of them are massacres and colonials occupation. Moreover, the 1965-1966 Mass Killing was ideologically driven and the others are the result of oppressive colonial occupation (East Timor and Papua). The religious driven mass killing happened in Poso Riots, but then it was conducted by both side of the conflicting party (Muslims and Christian). Indonesia unlike Pakistan doesn't use Islamic code as its constitution. The only Islamic thing it has in regards to the nature of its state is the large majority of Moslems.

Please study history before spouting such nonsense. IT is not within the Indonesian wish to be ruled by a kleptocrat general that installed by the CIA when the Communist Party of Indonesia was at their high.

its the FUKUS who call INdonesia our 'model moslem country', not me.

All I did was pointing out FUKUS orchestrated the 1965 genocide and the 1998 mass rapes on the ethnic Chinese in INdon.

FUKUS also abetted the invasion and genocides in E Timor, West Papua, Aceh.

My point is simply about FUKUS the mofoking hypocrites.

Spare me all these religious crap traps

Posted by: denk | Jan 3 2021 15:18 utc | 192 -- "tHE irony of it all... FUKUS and its cohorts should be the last ones on earth to lecture anybody over human rights...."

Irony is from the point of view of those not dead, not asleep to objective reality as history has been lived out globally over the last several centuries.

From the point of view of those dastardly practitioners of the art of political manipulation, they surely know it is hypocrisy. These soulless ghouls do not rise into high office without some brains. And so, they would be able to see the duplicity in themselves and their partners-in-crime. At least sometimes.

On a meta-level, I call this human rights lecturing as pure evil. Why? To knowingly lie with intent for a criminal purpose to enrich themselves at others' expense, to the point of not caring that deaths will surely be caused... that is evil of the unspeakable kind.

But they say people hate them because they are freedom-loving.... LOL

Due to low caste childless teashop owner Narendra Modi the BJP won the last two national elections in 2014 and 2019. He might well win 2024 as well. What more proof do you need that most Indians prefer him over dynasty posh boy Rahul Gandhi or anyone else?

P.S. In India electronic voting machines are totally offline: aggregate files are transported by memory stick so even the CIA/NSA can't touch them.

It is a mistake to tell denk to study history. You may be surprised to learn that he knows more about Indonesia than you!

It is good to study history before we open our mouths, or to type on our keyboards. But which history? the "history" from your government's school text books? the "history" from books written urban Indonesians? rural folk? Muslims? Christians? by university professors? communists? socialists? by minority Indonesians? by mainstream or by counter-culture Indonesians? books by Westerners? Sukarno's version? Suharto's version? or do you at least consider Andre Vitchek's version?

You may be surprised that the CIA to this day will try to control the historical accounts so that their crime against Indonesia is hidden.

So, before you reply to denk or to me, please reflect first on which history have you learned about your country?

When you learn the correct history, you will be angry at the CIA, not people who point out the CIA's crimes against humanity.

And, by the way, denk is clear @205, to say that his anger is directed at FUKUS hypocrisy, and not at Indonesia, Indonesians, Muslims.

Cheers, and happy new year!

You really need to update you impressions on Hinduism in India. The present Indian laws let minorities like Christians and Muslims run their own schools, colleges and houses of worship - PM Modi hasn't touched that even in the last 6 years while he could. Amazingly only Hindus are not allowed to run their own schools, colleges or temples, the state does it for them. For example the Tirupati temple, the most visited shrine after Mecca and the Vatican is run by a trust under the Andra Pradesh state government, which even appointed some Christian trustees for it! They collect and manage the enormous amounts of donations. The final result is that temple sweepers get fat government salaries while temple priests get next to nothing. Totally weird but true.

Child marriages: rare in India today (prohibited and actively persecuted), plenty in Pakistan and other Muslim countries.
Weird but true.

Priests? What do need them for? Thought you said Hinduism doesn't need them? That they get anything at all is a surprise.

You just debunk yourself further. You should learn to stop digging when you're in a hole.

... So I've updated my impressions of Hinduism in India now. It looks even worse than I thought:

84% Of 12 Million Married Children Under 10 Are Hindus
...

Nearly 12 million Indian children were married before the age of 10 years, 84% of them Hindu and 11% Muslim, reveals IndiaSpend analysis of recently released census data.

To put it in context, this number is equivalent to Jammu & Kashmir’s population.

As many as 7.84 million (65%) married children were female, reinforcing the fact that girls are significantly more disadvantaged; eight in ten illiterate children who were married were also girls.

And this graphic from the Indian Census bureau shows that Hindus leave Muslims and Christians in the dust for child marriage:

Looks to me like India could benefit from a CPC intervention ...

FUKUS bleat about universal human rights, yet their target is always...China !

Just one example...

When FUKUS do a space launch, everybody chants 'USA USA, we'r the greatest."
nobody mention Nam, Iraq, Libya, ...'

When India do it, everybody chants
'Jai hind, India's the next superpower'
nobody talks about Kashmir, the Nagas, the dalits ,....

After all , science and politics shouldnt mix, right ?

Not when it comes to China.
When Beijing do a launch, you'll see all these [[[six liars]]], aka
[[[five liars + India]]] coming in,
'What about Tibet ?' they demand.

These days, CIA'S mighty wurlitzer
creates many more ammunition to badger the Chinese..
'What about the Uighurs, the HK studnets, the SCS BLAH blahblah.'
They hiss.

This is their idea of 'universal human rights' and its just the tip of an iceberg,

So this goes back to your gripe about the CPC intervening in Tibetan Buddhism.

You see now that the Indian state is balls deep in Hinduism as well. Does your hypocrisy require further illumination?

The overarching phenomenon at play here is the tendency of the State to gain control of religious institutions and coopt them into the power structure for the purpose of government.

This applies to all religions in all cultures across all of history, Hinduism and the INdian State (as you pointed out, inadvertently) is no exception to this rule and the CPC vis a vis Buddhism is not unique in this regard.

The report still exists in pdf format on the bureau site.

No, Antonym is no patriot.

A patriot does what is best, what is right, what is just, for his nation. Some even dying while doing so.

A nationalist will do anything for his nation, including violence, including evil, including underhanded subterfuge.

A bigot?

If he has some grey matter, a bigot is a nationalist who thinks he is a patriot, eg. there are university professors who are bigots.

But more usually, a bigot is an ignorant, poorly-educated person. But because stupid does not know he is stupid, and because stupid thinks that what he 'knows' is the sum total of all that can be known, he loves to open his mouth, putting foot / feet in.

As Arch Bungle and others here have shown so clearly.

I am surprised that so far no mention was made of the book by Heinrich Harrer, Seven Years in Tibet; it is an excellent description of life in Tibet, with common people and with the "high society" there. Reading it and seeing the Chinese descriptions how much better the life is there now, helps me to conclude that the indigenous people were better off without the Chinese influence, the serfdom is not the worst form of life in traditional societies.
I haven't read Seven Years in Tibet since it came out, so my memory of it is a bit patchy. But, I think remembering at the time I was reading this story of an idyllic country "Here, Wasn't the author of this a NAZI? Wasn't it to get away from the British that he and his companion went to Tibet?" AFAIR there is hardly a mention of serfs, still less any exploration of what life was like for serfs. Life for serfs anywhere is usually pretty horrible, but any account is going to be suspected of bias. Certainly, the account of life for the serfs in Tibet pre 1959, that I was given in Beijing in 1964, was horrible beyond anything I had encountered before.

A small quiblle, Jason. The article is superficially about bounties in afghanistan but it is in essence an article about propaganda.

And fortuitously the entity 'Antonym' appeared as if to illustrate in the flesh (or meta-flesh) the essence of the article.

Therefore I don't think it was too much of tangent to study his agenda on this forum.

China Joe pulls a fast one keeping Afghanistan in his realm of 10%. China will have to do for now with the global fentynal trade.

The last time I saw a mention of the fentynal trade was in a report on cooperation between the FDA and the Chinese police, who marked parcels of the drug, ordered by US users (by internet) before they left China and notified the US customs that they were coming and how to recognize them. Then the US cops were able to arrest the users (150 of them) and the Chinese were able to arrest three gangs producing the drug. The article noted that China produced c. 6% of the fentynal used in the US.

Before Mao banned footbinding. At a time when the reversal process would have been painful and uncertain.

Which Antonym the propaganda operative hoped no one would notice because he has such high regard for his paper-thin deceptions.

Antonym (and others like him) operates in a very deliberate way, frequent use of "surface truths" misapplied to construct a narrative which falls apart the moment the actual information is analysed in context.
