DHS: Russia Will Interfere With U.S. Elections By Promoting Alleged Russian Interference With U.S. Elections

The Hill writes (emphasis added):

Russian media and other groups are intentionally “amplifying” concerns around mail-in voting in order to undermine the 2020 U.S. elections, a report compiled by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) made public Thursday found.
Russian state media, proxies, and Russian-controlled social media trolls are likely to promote allegations of corruption, system failure, and foreign malign interference to sow distrust in democratic institutions and election outcomes,” the Office of Intelligence and Analysis wrote.

Do these DHS folks ever look into mirrors?

And what exactly are the Washington Post and New York Times pieces below doing but "to sow distrust in democratic institutions and election outcomes"?

What’s the worst that could happen?
The election will likely spark violence — and a constitutional crisis

What Will You Do if Trump Doesn’t Leave?
Playing out the nightmare scenario.

Those scenarios are the Color Revolutions Coming Home and they are promoted not by Russian media but by the U.S. establishment.

As Whitney Webb writes of the Transition Integrity Project (TIP) war games:

A group of Democratic Party insiders and former Obama and Clinton era officials as well as a cadre of “Never Trump” neoconservative Republicans have spent the past few months conducting simulations and “war games” regarding different 2020 election “doomsday” scenarios.

Per several media reports on the group, called the Transition Integrity Project (TIP), they justify these exercises as specifically preparing for a scenario where President Trump loses the 2020 election and refuses to leave office, potentially resulting in a constitutional crisis. However, according to TIP’s own documents, even their simulations involving a “clear win” for Trump in the upcoming election resulted in a constitutional crisis, as they predicted that the Biden campaign would make bold moves aimed at securing the presidency, regardless of the election result.

This TIP war game (pg 17f) is indeed the plot for a coup:

It is amazing how all this is unfolding in plain sight.

Mark2 @197: "You’v been brain-washed."

Yes, but I'm better now :-D

Of course, literally everyone in western society has been brainwashed. It starts in infancy so there is not much you can do about it. You are immersed in brainwashing throughout your life. If you have a TV then you are still brainwashed with absolute certainty. Fortunately there are different flavors of brainwashing so you can pick the kind that feels best for you. If you pick the right brainwashing then the narratives it provides will be comforting, affirming, and personally validating for you.

I agree with that statement to a large degree however there is a lot of unemployment and under employment.
This also feeds into the dissatisfaction and frustration that helps feed the protests which can turn into riots.

Dude, Rittenhouse doesn't even appear in the Kenosha News anymore (he just made an appearance some days ago when a video showing him beating a woman came out). Nobody but you cares about this human garbage anymore.

The only place he's inhabiting right now is in your wet dreams.

Historical note: paying citizens directly for their electoral support has a long and diverse history in our politics, and a variety of other result-rigging strategems too, ballot stuffing, ballot sequestering, voter intimidation, etc. etc. Banana Republic all the way. It was really only after WWII that a serious effort to do things according the law was made, and even then is was always possible to have a little hanky-panky if a few extra votes were needed. Our politics has never been less than blindingly corrupt here, and any sensible discussion of the situation here now should start from that, not some pretense that we've just had a few unfortunate exceptions.

So after years of non producing evidence that Russia spread propaganda, they try to do it again? In what world do these people live in?

Cant imagine what would happen if Donald Trump would win again. He will get assassinated by these neocon lunatics.

Whats bothering more is this:

Plenty of USAF activity to go around

Unidentified airplane (or drone) probably departed from Sigonella (?) orbiting over Turkish Oric Reis research vessel.
Anyone has more information? (FL250, speed between 196 and 395 kt, no callsign, invalid transponder mode )?
Maybe a USNavy Boeing P-8A?

One cannot have that disucssion with these people, personally I am baffled that so many to the left feel the need to defend killings and vandalism in the US now. In the end they tarnish the left in general and make sure Trump get even more votes.

Just take a look at this video from yesterday:

Zaniness @ 207

I am in US. What is happening is that tribal allegiances are solidifying. Persons of ordinary intelligence who could once discern that RussiaRussiaRussiaRussia was a load of manure have decided to be comfortable with joining the delusions of their peers. Doubting the wisdom of the NYT causes too many problems, ends friendships. It’s not simply that it is too hard to think around here, it becomes difficult to exist day to day.

I said that in the one still grab of a video, shared here by Gruff, a weapon had been edited/photoshopped/doctored in another guy's hands - or the other guy was much farther away and the photo was manipulated to make him look closer. I think WG got it from Daily Caller or Breitbart, but I don't recall exactly because it wasn't a big deal and I haven't seen that particular still/photo used anywhere since. It was only one dude carrying a pistol within a 20 foot radius of Rittenhouse when he had tripped on the street and that person was shot by your boy Kyle.

Well, with respect to ways to make one´s living, I think that we should always consider the utility and real value of art...Keeping us apart from enjoying, and unaware of, the beauty of art has always been the whish of the elites....One of the achievements of the October Revolution was to put art, before only a privilege of a few, at dispossition of the masses...

I have always thought this kind of work must be paid it's worthy price...

You're being selective.

The bourgeoisie only took power through extreme and widespread violence (French Revolution, American Revolution, American Civil War, WWI, WWII, the many genocides of colonization and neocolonialism etc. etc.).

Elsewhere on the internet, there's plenty of right-wing (i.e. pro-capitalists) openly talking about exterminating the "left" (i.e. socialists and communists), about regime change and about a conscious creation of misery to large swathes of the world's population just in the name of preserving their favorite system. And I'm not even entering into the subject of promoting censorship and using the State machines to actively suppress leftist dissent.

Now that it's their time to fall, violence is not cool anymore?

The fact is this: the moment you choose violence (i.e. promote the death of your political enemy), you're automatically closing all the doors for dialogue. That's realpolitik, not ideology; it's a fact of human nature, it's inevitable. The right-wing (or any other pro-capitalist factions, which surely include the center-left) should stop with the delusions they will be able to kill and suppress their political/class enemies at will, without any form of retaliation. This is not school or kindergarten: this is the adults' world (public world), the world where only death solves the problem.

The US has a proven record, since it's very foundation 500 or so years ago, of mass murder, genocide, repudiated treaties and subsequently, unbridled capitalist expansionism, illegal bombing, illegal subversion, illegal wars, lying, etc. ad in infinitum. China has a much longer history, 2500 years at least, and while they have their share of internecine conflict, they have no history comparable to the US. They have practised a limited degree of expansionism, but, seeing themselves as the 'central state, have seen no need to conquer the 'outer states' and no need to impose their values and culture on the rest of the world - unlike the US. They even curtailed expansionist moves under Admiral Zheng He which could have led to overseas domination. Their current 'Belt and Road' plan involves trade, free from (obvious, anyway) coercion - unlike the current crude US attempts to force Iran into submission, and to force Germany to buy expensive US gas instead of cheap Russian gas.

Thus, so far, the Chinese are proved to be potentially a safer bet than the US.

So, "do ya feel lucky, punk?"

Now that it's their time to fall, violence is not cool anymore?

No, violence is certainly not cool? Do you think it is cool?

Imagine righ-wingers coming out in the streets, destroying it for 6 months just like the left-wingers have done now, if Trump lose the election? And then imagine people try to defend that. That is you today but on the other side. this violent tribalism must end.

Do you really believe the violence in the streets is appealing to the common man? I posted a video where BLM activists attacked a restaurant and its guests, threatning them and vandalizing. Why? Whats the purpose? That is what fascists do. Do you believe you win sympathy by threatening people?
More likely you will alienate them.

People of today have nothing to do with what happend 400 years ago and should of course not be attacked or have their stores burned down. That is racism.
Support for BLM have been going down quite obvious past weeks. It could have rised instead but common people are afraid of the irrational violence by the BLM activists and from now on I doubt they could ever change that image. It could only go down further.

I don't know about demented; so much of what is presented to us does not match its billing. The Security Services are not serving us and do not provide security, rather the reverse. The NATO Alliance is not an alliance, it is an American Empire foreign Legion. The Special Relationship between Britain and the US exists only in the imagination of the MSM and a few of their dupes. The intelligence services do not provide intelligence, that, if they have it, is all secret, they provide misinformation. Fact-checking services are mainly intent on preventing facts getting out to the public. Et Cetera.

Both sides are planning to to disrupt the elections, create a constitutional crisis, and use a false flag to start another war with either China, Russia or Iran. Or maybe all of them or just one of them. Trumps guys want China, Neocons want Iran, DNC and “Never” Trump Republicans want Russia with the latter also wanting Iran

I dislike making predictions, but I think that the US Military is much less willing to go head to head with Iran or Russia or China than are the big-mouthed politicians. (Perhaps not surprising, really!) So I will stick my neck out and say that there will be no (shooting) war on any of the three for the next year or two. "It's too risky!"
OTOH, there might quite well be attacks on them by proxies.

I'm not defending BLM, I'm just assessing the situation on the field. The BLM is using violence (only some times) because the other side is also using violence (institutionalized extermination of blacks by cops).

Maybe violence appeals to the common man. I don't know.

@ Posted by: Zanon | Sep 5 2020 17:55 utc | 217

That's precisely what's going to happen. If Trump loses, there will be a bloodbath of poor and black people. They won't go after small businesses because they're on the side of petite-bourgeoisie, but they are going to destroy and kill, for sure (as they already are).

@ Posted by: foolisholdman | Sep 5 2020 21:09 utc | 226

Exactly. Why would the CCP allow the enemy to grow up inside itself? It's not like the capitalist countries will allow communist parties to win elections and abolish capitalism on the tip of the pen peacefully.

Even the ideologue of the political spectrum, Arthur Schlesinger Jr. (Vital Center: politics of freedom, 1947), explicitly stated communist parties don't have the right to exist, and should be exterminated by brute force.

It is good that the mainstream media is now trying to make people forget about Kyle, because it means they have run out of fake news to run against him.

Now all they can hope for is the state to have a quick decision, throw him in jail and throw away the key (quite an irony, anarchist hoping for the police state government to do their deed for them).

Also, it is good to bring up BLM's violence, if cops mistreat them, they should attack cops, not business, who haven't done jack to BLM. But instead of attacking cops, anarchists/antifa/BLM attack average people, and cry for cops when they get hit back. Thus, anarchists/antifa/BLM is just an useful arm of the cops.

Also, I don't care for right wing or left wing. I care about the truth, and it's not on the side of ideologues here.

Posted by: Smith | Sep 6 2020 0:42 utc | 231

It's interesting to note that the guy that got his bicep blown up by Kyle is actually walking free.

Despite the fact, he:
- cross state lines
- possesses illegal weapon (a pistol)
- brandishes it towards minor (17 year old)
- has no reason to be there except to protest/riot
- violates curfew

Yet now he's back in the street protesting again, while Kyle is in jail.

When the laws decide to judge selectively, it's time to judge the laws selectively.

Yes that is the photo. The particular variant of it that I was talking about included a much "clearer" vision of the skateboarder's hands and appeared to show him wielding a pistol as well as the other guy which we know of course did.

My only point was that in that one frame of time, there was only one armed person within the immediate vicinity of Rittenhouse and that person was in fact shot (as was the guy attacking him with the skateboard I think). Is that your understanding of this snippet of the overall even too?

Russian promotion of the narrative of Russian inference proper in US elections would boost interference in US

My common sense says precisely the opposite: the more the narrative of interference spills over, the less
it comes to turn factual in real world of the already ridiculous rituals of US elections.
Come on.
I am sure that millions of non-US citizens around the world feel a justified relief over the flops and
