I’ve been saying for some time that given Trump’s desire to stop all Iranian oil shipments that the US would eventually consider a blockade of Iran by the US Navy, which would be an act of war, and would trigger the Iran war. This move of trying to seize Iranian ships on bogus legal rationale is a step toward that, as was the seizure of the Grace last year.

China crushing Hong-Kong aspirations and the human spirit I found it ironic that while Neocons are having a field day condemning China’s new security law they are also revelling in Trump using federal laws to punish local protesters. FOX interviewed a DHS rep who was very pleased to announced that Trump was asking them to enforce laws imposing 10yr prison sentences for defacing statues.
10yrs, wow, that’s pretty harsh for harming an inanimate object what if China did that.
BTW has anyone actually seen the HK police use tear gas and rubber bullets lately or is that just slipped into the copy that our newsreaders use.

I am curious as to why the Process Church focused on Lucifer, Satan and Jehovah as three distinct entities on which to organize their following. to be crudely reductive, Satanists or more metal/biker stereotypes, while Luciferians are the polished upper crust who lust after what all power seekers ultimately want: to never die.
what about Jehovah?

I tend not to be too interested in what some of these groups believe because in the end, they’re irrational basket cases and their explanations for their beliefs tend to be off the wall. The Process Church was a straight up cult, and their belief system was just to confuse their followers in order to control them, like most cults. So their reasons why are irrelevant – the end goal was power.

I’ve done a certain amount of reading on Gnosticism. I haven’t come to any firm conclusions, though I tend to think that most of these belief systems are simply attempts to comprehend why life sucks so much of the time. I’m also more inclined to consider Jung’s opinion favorably – that all these “nonhuman intelligences” are just prehistoric parts of the brain that well up under certain conditions. Although that doesn’t explain the whole UFO phenomena, despite Jung’s attempt to do so with his book on UFOs.
The problem, as John Keel pointed out repeatedly in his works, is that you can *not* trust *any* entity that you think you’re in contact with. Some of the old occultists also concluded that, and that’s why they recommended the magician have strict control over himself before, during and after the ritual, or he would be overwhelmed by what, essentially, was in his own head. There are good psychological reasons for that and it’s a good theory to explain a lot of what “magic” was or is.
Read up on Giordano Bruno, especially Ioan Couliano – Eros And Magic in the Renaissance. I haven’t read that myself, but it’s on my hard drive for later reading. Basically, Bruno seems to have discovered both the mechanics of magic and the mechanics of psychological warfare. I don’t know yet whether he was correct, but it also fits with what the CIA was doing with its methods. Peter Levenda discusses this in his Sinister Forces trilogy, which is where I got the reference to Couliano’s book from. Bruno’s concepts of “links” also fits in with a theory I developed some years ago which I call the “biological Internet”. That’s a concept where living things are “networked” on a low – perhaps even quantum – biology level, much like the Internet, with the genetic code acting as a sort of “IP address”. This theory could explain virtually everything paranormal, including ghosts, magic, “psychic powers”, “reincarnation”, the works. Still wouldn’t explain much of the UFO phenomena, however.
Anyway, as an anarchist, I’m not giving “consent” to anyone, human or not, without a damn good reason. As far as any humans or non-humans telling me what to do, as Gov. William J. Le Petomane said in “Blazing Saddles”: “You watch your ass!”

I just read the Reuters posting (no link) about Trump’s speech at Mt Rushmore this evening stoking the flames of culture war between the fake left/right meme.
Trump is playing his role to the hilt to insure that Americans don’t talk about the financial rape of their descendants that is occurring as part of the pandemic response. Trump is accusing the left of pushing a cultural revolution when that is exactly what is needed but a cultural revolution that occurs because sovereign governments take over global finance from the current global private cult that holds the Western government in debt peonage.

Yes, it’s a shame that the country is so befuddled with identity warfare. As a nation we almost but not quite noticed that vast bailout of the top tier. They staved off the next crash that they were so concerned about. I guess you noticed that tidbit about a record number of CEOs retiring last year? The inside track has known it was staring down a gun barrel, and COVID by accident or design was the perfect smoke to cover up the bailout.
Among the people, for one moment I was feeling the spark of some illumined energy, but the obfuscations are so thick and well entrenched that I don’t think this wealth transfer event is going to break surface in anyone’s mind. The false race war has covered up the true class war, as many commentators note.
Well, it’s going to be a long hot summer, and the universe at least seems up for surprises this year, so we’ll see what emerges. I tend to think the grievances are still being shaped in the pressure cooker, and the steam has barely yet even started to blow.
Good point about Trump. He really is the best friend the Dems could ask for, providing the target for them to keep the polarities boiling without having to commit to any principle or platform, or do any real work at all. They will strive mightily to win him another four years, no matter how badly he screws up the pandemic response.

Trump made no attempt to heal the divide. Just the opposite really.
When I pointed this out to friends that claim that Trump is not racist and that police brutality is just a training issue, they had nothing to say.
When I point out that USA has large and unaccountable police and military that is glorified at every opportunity and that the USA imprisons more people than any other developed country, they have nothing to way.
When I point out that Trump’s minimum 10-year sentence for defacing statues/monuments screams “police state!”, they have nothing to say.
When I point out that we are technically at war with several countries, they have nothing to say.
When I point out that it was USA power-elite that is most responsible for the problems they decry, they have nothing to say. It was the USA power-elite that sent manufacturing overseas, raided pensions, and broke the Unions. It was USA power-elite that allowed millions of undocumented immigrants so they could get cheap labor. It is USA power-elite that has formed an unaccountable and undemocratic system. It is the USA power-elite that supports Empire warmongering and adventurism that destabilizes countries like Russia, Syria, Ukraine, Libya, Iraq, etc. – leading to resentment, terrorism, and other problems.
Despite all of the above, Trump supporters fall in line and direct their ire at China, Iran, Maduro, undocumented immigrants, Muslims, blacks, socialists, etc. – everyone but the people actually responsible for the problems.

Some of us cultural and language drum beaters think of themselves as potential sci-fi change agents. If I can shorten the time our species spends under the yoke of those that own global private finance by any amount then my life has purpose and meaning.
The awe of cosmology is my “religion” and I wonder if it is possible to evolve our species to simply appreciate and respect our place in the universe and live our lives in awe of the little we know about anything…..including enough to create a religion….grin

Heh, speak for yourself. It all depends on how fast nanotechnology can be used in a biological context. Based on Aubrey de Grey, a few billions even without nanotechnology spent over the next couple decades on preventing the most common (non-accident/hostile) causes of biological death could extend average human life span to 120 years. If nanotech can be applied, that might be sped up or subsequently used to eliminate death by normal causes (short of being vaporized in a nuclear blast, loss of brain information, etc.). That depends on how much knowledge of biology can be expanded using nanotech on a cellular level (or below) on a real-time, large-scale monitoring basis. I’m not up on where nanotech is currently in that application.
Fear of death is “the root of all evil”, to quote Alan Harrington in “The Immortalist”. But death itself is quite real. Reason enough to go after a solution. People who don’t think “eternal life” (whatever that means) is a good idea are people who are afraid of their current life or the consequences if other people possess it and they don’t.

That’s kind of what I intend. But I don’t need Revelations as a script for that – just a lot of sci-fi and comic books. 🙂 As I said once before, there are four possibilities as a result of development of Transhuman enabling technologies:
1) Transhumans exterminate humans.
2) Transhumans transmogrify humans into Transhumans.
3) Transhumans ignored humans.
4) And the most likely – all of the above.
Although I rank 3) as the most likely, even if humans try to exterminate Transhumans – which I think is quite likely. Humans defeating a super-intelligence is highly improbable – Star Trek notwithstanding.
I’ve got no problem with any of those – as long as I’m one of the Transhumans. Of course, if I drop dead first, all of them are moot for me.
If you meant to refer to some notion of “Satan” being behind such an idea, I’d advise you to note that according to those historians I mentioned there has never been a real group of “Satanists” anywhere (not even the Nazi occultists regardless of Peter Levenda and many others who have suggested otherwise), or any evidence of an actual “Satan” (or any other equivalent entity), and second, remember what I said about any non-human intelligence telling me what to do.

The whole poem is fantastic but I cut out the above to show what resonated most with me. To me, the essence of true Christianity is the rejection of material self-interest beyond that which sustains the health of the mind and body and embracing the idea of unconditional love through “good works” that help others while bringing little or no material benefit to self. The idea being that we are one and that “brotherly love” ensures that we all live and succeed in our own way and in our own time and that contributing to this ultimately makes us all stronger. Divest from the material to invest in the spiritual, which brings a reward that cannot be bestowed by another person and therefore makes us truly free on Earth while serving God’s purpose.
The (metaphysical concept of) Devil, of course, can poke all sorts of logical holes in this approach to life which, to be fair, is the Devil’s role in all this. The Devil will suggest one is a fool for doing something for nothing or believing in an idea for which there is no “proof.” The Devil will plot based on animal behaviour patterns which all humans are subject to, which is why it is important to occasionally “do something that won’t compute” or “love someone who does not deserve it.” Mess up the algorithm of control.
The Devil’s crowning achievement to date has been the co-opting of “Christianity” to do his dirty work through the ages. We see this today in Evangelicals who believe that destroying the world to save themselves is a good idea. Many of the World’s worst sins have been committed in the name of the Lord. But that is because if the Devil did anything in his own name, without deception as to his purpose, nobody in their right mind would follow.
Thanks for the reminder of what we all know in our hearts to be true.

I decided this past week to set it up again solely to follow people in infosec and prepping. I’ve no intention of tweeting or responding to tweets. Anyone who tweets at me gets blocked instantly. That’s the only way to fly on Twitter.

I tell them thanks but no thanks, I’ll take a pass on heaven and go straight to hell thank you because the thought of eternity in heaven with all those in heaven already and slated to be in heaven in the near and distant future, is surely worse than any hell I can imagine. Forf example, I’m sure Pat Lang and his loved ones and all his many friends and admirers are certain he is going to heaven and who knows, maybe he is. I don’t want to spend eternity with that likes of that monstrous war criminal and an infinite number of monsters just like him.

If one extended one’s life span to 120 years, and increased one’s wealth holdings to $1 Trillion – none of this would ever be enough.
Satisfying desire is not achieved by getting the thing you think you want. Dealing with desire is a practice much more close to home.
Lust, greed, desire, yearning – all the same branch of deluded thought.
Aspiration is different, by the way. Aspiration falls into a different strain of thought, bound up with selflessness rather than selfishness.

Here is something that gets said by Christ at the last supper, which occurs right at the beginning of what he is saying there – “A new commandment I give you…”
What commandment? He is speaking to a very small band of brothers, who have followed him through thick and thin hearing this and that about everything they are encountering, lots of parables, lots of references to Old Testament rules and regulations, and always the troubling (to Pharisees) statement that he’s the one who can tell about God because even Moses was a stranger at times to Him – Moses who wrote the first five books of what we call ‘the Bible’ (in Greek ‘ta biblia’ – ‘the little books’.)
The new commandment, repeated several times, is that “…you love one another as I have loved you.” Not just ‘Love one another’ period, but “as I have loved you.” In other words,as Dostoievski will point out, active love is different from love in dreams, and that’s what John, who was ‘the disciple Jesus loved’ is telling us in his record of the sayings of Jesus. And John is given the title, in my faith, of ‘theologian’ – ‘one who speaks about God.’ This title was formerly given to ancient Greek poets who did this. And to us in the faith, John is not just ‘a theologian’; he is the theologian.
I think John gets the courage to actually rewrite the beginning of the first book of Moses, Genesis, from this new commandment that he hears repeated at the last supper. “In the beginning was the word”
is John’s retelling of the story of creation. My big church has the text for Saint John’s rewriting of Moses’ opening words on Easter night, and in our little church we would give to each of us who had a different native language that text to recite in our native language, wherever in the church each was standing. Happened around midnight in a tiny church packed full of standing people. An English version, then a Russian version, then Greek, then Tlingit, and on… Electric.
Lizard asks us to consider the Apocalypse, the Book of Revalations, also written by John. We are asked by Lizard to consider how hatred of active love (which – active love itself – Dostoievski says is a harsh and dreadful thing)- hatred of that sort of love might manifest into a technological ENACTMENT of end times events.’

We continue to extend human lifespan (unnaturally) through having learned how to prevent sickness and death from various diseases. That process of discovery is hardly different than research into the causes of aging and the diseases that ultimately cause our death, whatever the cause be it cancer, heart disease, pneumonia, dementia, whatever. Why is a dog old at 15 yet a human is not even an adult by the same age? What is it in living things that control the biological clock of cellular aging and senescence? Personally I think it’s a fascinating area of research.

juliania… it seems to me the book often referred to as ‘the bible’ is mostly a selected collection of stories that were decided upon by a group of people that eventually became associated with the church… along the way more people found out how certain books were accepted – because they conformed with the set ideology of the time and other books were ignored, because they were either too metaphysical or abstract to be able to appreciate by a more literal mind.. but i am curious what you mean by “my big church”..

Dallas. My old stomping ground. Since statues are relevant, there was a house, we called it the Devil House, adjacent to Inwood Road and the Tollway. It was an multi-acre estate, actually, so more than a house. A castle really, like you would see in England. Apparently, some Cotton Baron owned it and built it in the 19th century.
The grounds were littered with all manner of religious statues. Not your normal religious statues, mind you, but perverse religious statues depicting Mary the Mother of God and Jesus Christ involved in scenes that are bizarre and beggar belief. As bizarre as the statues were, they were “moving” and creepy as all get-out and actually very well done from an artistic perspective..
One statue in the middle of the fountain that was at the center of the circular drive in front of the quasi castle at the end of the winding road to the mansion, was a depiction of Satan raping a young girl. Epstein would have loved it and had he known about this abode, would have tried to purchase it I’m sure. The rape statue presented Satan as half goat and half man. A cloven creature with horns emanating from scalp. The nails at the tips of his fingers were long and pointy. He was taking the young gorl from behind, the top of her dress ripped down to reveal her bosom in full bloom.
We would sneak onto the property and roam around and look at the statues until the caretaker would chase us down and sometimes fire shots, I’m guessing into the sky to scare the shit out of us, which it did of course.
Apparently, the house is owned by a foreign interest and foreign dignitaries stay there when they visit Dallas for business or for other sundry reasons. George W. Bush resides in a development just to the back of this property so he’s within spitting distance of it. I’m guessing #BlackLivesMatter won’t be tearing down the statues on this property.

Re the border incident between India and China. I have ran onto another before and after sat pic of the place which is called patrol point 14 on the Galwin river bend.
This pic shows the site on May 22. India have crossed onto the Chinese side of patrol ppoint 14 a nd started building a post with the road heading further up the river. The is a ford for vehicles and a narrow foot bridge can be seen in the pic.

Correction, the home was built in 1939. The property is beautiful and there is nothing like it in Dallas. The city has surrounded this sprawling estate of nearly 25 acres so it’s an oasis of tranquility amidst the Big City.
The name of the property is the Crespi-Hicks Estate and it recently sold for $36 million dollars at auction. As I mentioned, it was built in 1939 by the famous award-winning, renowned architect Maurice Fatio for the Italian Count Pio Crespi and his wife Florence. Eventually it was purchased in 1969 by the current owner of the Texas Rangers Tom Hicks, Dubya’s friend in fact who purchased the Texas Rangers from Dubya’s ownership consortium for $250 million netting Dubya quite a return on his investment.
Also, it’s adjacent to Walnut Hill Road and the Tollway, not Inwood Road.
Here’s a link about the estate. The insane bizarre statue in front is gone. Not sure about the many other bizarre evocative/provocative statues sprinkled about the grounds in the day especially in the back yard. I wonder who got the rape statue? Maybe Epstein. Or Maxwell. Poor quality video. Indians on one side of the river video a standoff between Indians and Chinese on the other side of the river. The Indians are armed with sticks and the Chinese have riot shields.

I bet that this is a statue with a standard theme of antique art “a satyr and a maiden”. It was very typical in paintings on Athenian ceramics where the typical scene of heterosexual sex would have the woman resting palms and knees on the ground, with historical explanation that soft beds were still unknown in that era, so this position predominated. It stands to reason that as the words of Gospel was spreading to folks who did not have soft beds either, missionaries had their work cut out for them. BTW, homosexual scenes in Greek painting tend to be coded as a mature man gifting a rooster to a young man — perhaps it is related to the myth of Ganymedes and Zeus.

It’s amazing how forty years distorts memories. I found a photo of the statue. It’s not exactly as I remembered it, but it is a statue of a beastly creature with horns protruding from its head raping a young, nubile maiden.
