that count of injuries from the Iran revenge strike on U.S. Iraqi base has been revised.
Expect the figures will continue to be revised up…When reports from U.S. “all is well” RU’s TASS cited that Reuters had reported 80 killed. I lack info just like everyone else but I am shocked by the disinfo and misinfo that started right out of the gate. 23 countries and counting. I have no idea how they will feed the 60m+ locked down sitting in their apartments and waiting. Really shitty. Of course it’s old. The point is that there was developed by OSS a formal policy set and a “how to”, and a project is running. See NYT 1619 project. That’s part of the Project. Posted by: Walter | Feb 1 2020 16:17 utc | 342 Walter – no worries on the specifics. Orwellian as a term means approximately (w/o looking it up) overly complicating when something simpler and more precise is better. Posted by: donkeytale | Feb 1 2020 16:42 utc | 343 Hey DT. Cool. My view is there’s no purity that doesn’t corrupt – not in the political arena. And not in religions. We muddle. and try to do the best under the circumstance. Marx himself says ethics is circumstantial – but I do not recall the quote. Pop was serious about Marxism, mom less, but used the theory all her life. What’s left for us here, now, is that we can honor labor and resist in small ways, generally by kindness or forbearance. I have copies of the grilling McCarthy’s dog Ray Cohn gave pop. Once burned, twice shy…so “moderate”. Intimidation works. But right now the Trade Deficit is shrinking. And anyone who has knowledge of Balance Of Payments issues knows what the implications are for the PetroDollar system. Especially in combination with rising Budget Deficits. Spoiler: this combination is weakeing the Petrodollar. Posted by: Willy2 | Feb 1 2020 20:13 utc | 351 If it is true that the Chinese Communist party has roughly 100 million members, then it has no challenge whatsoever on Earth on being the biggest active and working organisation or association.I can’t think of another shared interest club with more members, maybe someone can.The catholic church ,islam, hinduism, buddhism may have more believers, but they are not organized and able to play in a similar way on society.Soccer fans outnumber the CCP as well,as do car owners, but those are not working and acting together to a common goal.Yes,I understand Pompeo wetting his pants vis a vis so much determination. He’s got bad press lately,I read a lot of 2699 comments in the NYT article about him bullying a wellknown (not to me being from europe)female journalist. Many commenters stating he is not apt to diplomacy and should not represent USA abroad. Then loosing a One billion airplane because of his assassination of foreign officials might give D.Trump a reason to fire him,but that would look very bad in the actual situation, and would raise too many questions of the kind MSM wants you to forget. Not a genuine transcript, but that’s what I could gather. I find this quote from a rock singer rather remarkable. And it’s not the usual rock singer with drugs and alcohol you may expect. It’s a rock singer with the usual drug and alcohol thing that by miracle has kept his mind intact. There are videos many years later where he still has his mind alive. This is exceptional. Probably one of the greatest minds and rock stars. Posted by: Phil | Feb 1 2020 22:06 utc | 354 Zappa kept his head. Only guy that got to Buckley on TV.
