Dear Reader,

Moon of Alabama provides news and analysis which other media cover late or not at all. It offers original thought and no-nonsense writing on a nearly daily basis. That is not an easy feat and it requires a lot of effort. This site is free. The comment section is open and lively. All this is the effort of this single person.

I will (for the first time, I have to admit) once the next paycheck is here. B, you’re saying that sending cash is a good option for you. Friends of mine are going to visit the US this month, so I’ll ask them to send some money for me via USPS from within the States. Will this work?

Over the past several years I have attempted to make donations to your website, most recently a few minutes ago. Paypal insists that I create an account with them to make a credit card donation. I despise Palpal, and it is a credit to you that I am willing to use them at all, even a pass-through credit card transaction. However, I am not willing to create an account with Paypal. At least twice, perhaps three times in the past, I have submitted a request for the address and payee information to send a check, to which I never received a response. I do get a lot of junk email so it’s possible I overlooked your response. Please send me an email with the info I need to send a check. It would help if the subject field reads “Moon of Alabama”. I very much appreciate your work, have followed you for years now, and would like to contribute.
