Of all the great delusions mankind is plagued with, the worst one is, that it can control life and the circumstances that make life possible.
Venezuela will be the poisoned chalice for the Fascist empire. Is there anything worse than overestimating one’s own strength and underestimating the strength of one’s opponent? Surely the devolved minds in the US regime never read Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War’ – it would make obvious that they are on a suicide mission. And while the oppressed population might have no problem with that, they, and all the other people of the world will be dragged into the abyss as well.
Mankind had a chance and blew it. Maybe the robots it invented for all the wrong reasons will fare better.

The reason elections matter is not because of laws or policies. Elections are about control of the budgets. Those budgets affecting you most are the ones closest to you about roads and schools, development and community. Having worked very hard to get democratically endorsed candidates elected who support working families, I know how important it is to keep ideologues shut out of power. If you don’t vote then you say to your democracy that really you enjoy your right to bitch as the only right you fully possess. Budgets are moral documents. Every level of government has one. Approach the problem from this angle and you will get better results. I have.

What I said was that they were part of a bloc-a bloc which the US forced them to build to defend themselves against imperial aggression. A bloc which also includes Iran. But which no longer includes Brazil.
That fact might indicate something to you: Brazil has been reclaimed by the Empire intent on keeping total control over the hemisphere, for strategic depth. And to prevent the Belt and Road Intiative from spreading (for example a new canal in Nicaragua) into America.
So that is why, I argue, the US is now ramping up its attacks on dissident states, like Venezuela, in “its own backyard.”
Perhaps you misunderstood my point. Perhaps you regard these forums as fun places to have arguments. I don’t, I see them as opportunities to compare each others ideas and researches, thoughts and discoveries in order to assist in understanding political problems. I have stopped participating in batting on horse races, as I see first by the post electoral system practised in UK, and its colonies like Canada, Australia … number of years ago. The system is made for 2 parties only, and it allows that party achieves absolute majority in the Parliament by getting only 25% of eligible vote, or 33% of actual vote, as it happened in Canada during previous PM Harper. That does not have anything to do with democracy, and I am refusing to participate in that sham!

Lecture about taxes at Davos by historian that’s heartwarming but was likely ignored or tuned out as the WEF is mostly just a public relations stunt. As a fellow historian, I’d opine that before the question of taxes we need to change the wording of Corporate Charters from primarily serving investors to serving the public first and foremost, which would mean not trying to avoid taxes.

Chris Hedges and Chomsky, to mention only those two, very different as they are (MIT Prof, ex NY-Times journo..) are allowed, enshrined oppositional / dissident / objecting voices.
They intellectualise, dress up, various matters, and put forward cogent analysis, yes they actually do (I appreciate and read ..) in the frame set for them. For which they are well paid, and admired.
The frame is quite narrow, constrained. Typically, neither of them will touch the topic of 9/11 for ex. – Except to blame muslim terrorists or heh it’s backlash, so devastating!
They know where the red lines are, and protect their bailiwick, their reputation in a narrow patch.

Michael Hoffman is good. Any attempts to slander his name will fit right in with Amazon’s having banned his books.
Hoffman is a former journalist, an historian and a scholar of immense depth, which is what is really needed to put the subject of Judaism and the other older religions into context. His work is very valuable – and of course, under attack, of the kind visible at #146.

No interest rate increases is actually a good thing for the middle class. Might weaken the dollar in the short term but that means the yuan will strengthen against the USD , which is what the US wants. The BIS and the central banks of the other reserve currencies will work together to prevent too much of a fall.
I think the elites control of the global economy is pretty impressive. I see the capitulation of the Fed as just a timeout for popping the asset bubbles. The government shut down delayed a lot of the economic reports, I suspect the Fed may have some inside information about whats in them and the insiders can sell off some of their holdings in a more bullish market until they get released
I cant read too much into it myself

The Dow is up 16% this past month. I dont see china-US trade negotiations affecting much. Indeed they may have some inside information its going to be resolved in a positive faction. Ivanka was just awarded a number of new trademarks by China. Its possible Hwawei and Venezuela are more about leverage in these negotiations. If the US gets what they want from China I can see them selling out Taiwan. Hope not.
Also I dont think people understand how 5G will stimulate the economy. An awful lot of money is going to be spent rolling out the infrastructure and putting up satellites in the next 1-2 years.

Louis Woo, special assistant to Foxconn CEO Terry Gou, told Reuters that the company now planned to create a “technology hub” in Wisconsin rather than a factory. That would largely consist of research facilities along with some packaging and assembly operations. Woo said three-quarters of Foxconn’s eventual jobs will be in research and development and design, not blue-collar manufacturing jobs. He said it will not be a factory.
Asked about the comments attributed to Woo, a Foxconn spokesperson did not dispute them.

Thanks. I understand better your point. In terms of commercial links with other countries, China (primarily) and Russia pose a threat – if only because they offer an alternative to economic domination by the Empire.
But I don’t think either side will “pull back” except as a short-term tactical retreat or feint. China and Russia will do what they can to help Venezuela and other countries and USA will continue to pressure China and Russia in every possible country/venue.

Democracy was “invented” to trick the proletariat into thinking they had some control over those who rule .Seems many here do not yet understand that. Do you think that they will relinquish their control because we “vote” them out. Do you think we will be allowed to “vote” them out?

Also announced today is that Nordstream 2 is on target to fill with gas in November. The combination means that the EU will be able to get all its gas without Ukraine’s pipeline system.
This makes the US move on Ukraine back in 2014 a bigger disaster for Ukrainians. They lost Crimea and now gas transit fees.

We need fewer Whites in everything. Whites are bad and need to be eliminated. It’s hard to imagine statements more accurately reflecting the beliefs of the jewish wire-puller aggressively campaigning for our destruction.
Simply being a Person Without Color is becoming a crime, something shameful. Our only acceptable depiction is as criminals, scumbags and “racists” in kosher fantasy. Showing happy Whites in their European homeland, for example, is automatically bad. They want us dead.
They’re not even trying to hide it anymore. If you’re not a Nationalist you’re either an idiot or benefiting from the rot in the short term; no one can plausibly claim ignorance any more.

A former parking valet at a hospital in Wisconsin has been charged with the murder of a nurse who was found frozen and bleeding underneath a vehicle last Tuesday.
Kenneth Freeman, a 27 year old African American, of Milwaukee, has been charged with one count of first-degree intentional homicide for the murder of 33-year-old Carlie Beaudin who was found in the parking structure of Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Friday.
Under a vehicle a White women freezes, bleeds and dies.
Court documents obtained by Fox News alleged that Freeman crept up on Beaudin as she was walking to her car and knocked her to the ground.
Prosecutors then claim Freeman then kicked and stomped on her head and neck “almost 40 times”
Beaudin’s body was then dragged out of the camera’s view towards her own car.
After being taken into custody and discovered with the nurse’s purse, Freeman later told authorities in a statement he said “he deliberately and purely murdered” her.
Comment: You’re making it really hard for your (((attorney))) to paint this premeditated and horrific murder as a “non-violent drug offense.”
