Trump Fires FBI Boss James Comey – About Time …

President Trump dismissed the Director of the FBI James Comey on recommendation of the Deputy Attorney General, who had served under Obama, and the Attorney General. The dismissal and the recommendation memos can be read here.

Comey is accused of usurping the Attorney General's authority on several occasions. In July 2016 Comey decided and publicly announced the closing of the Clinton email-investigations without a recommendation of prosecution. He publicly announced the reopening of the investigation in October only to close it again a few days later.

At the first closing of the investigation Comey held a press conference and said:

“our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”

That, by far, exceeded his competency, Since when can a police officer decide how "reasonable" a prosecutor may or may not be, and make public announcements about that? Clinton's running of a private email server broke several laws. Anyone but she would have been prosecuted at least for breaching secrecy and security regulations.

It is not the job of the police to decide about prosecutions. The police is an investigating agent of the public prosecutors office. It can make recommendations about prosecutions but not decide about them. Recommendations are to be kept confidential until they are decided upon by the relevant authority – the prosecutor. There are additional issues with Comey. His agents used sting or rather entrapment to lure many hapless idiots into committing "ISIS terror acts". A full two thirds of such acts in the U.S. would not have developed without FBI help. Comey himself had signed off on Bush's warrantless wiretapping program.

The formal dismissal of Comey is, in my view, the right thing to do. It should have been done earlier.

But the political dimension of the dismissal is not about the Clinton email affair at all. It is about the "Russia interfered with the election" nonsense Clinton invented as excuse for her self-inflicted loss of the vote. The whole anti-Trump/anti-Russia campaign run by neocons and "Resistance" democrats, is designed to block the foreign policy – detente with Russia – for which Trump was elected. The anti-Russia inquisition is dangerous groupthink.

There is no evidence – none at all – that Russia "interfered" with the U.S. election. There is no evidence – none at all – that Russia colluded with the Trump campaign. The Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein, who sits on the Judiciary Committee as well as the Select Committee on Intelligence, recently confirmed that publicly (vid) immediately after she had again been briefed by the CIA:

Blitzer mentioned that Feinstein and other colleagues from the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence had visited CIA headquarters on Tuesday to be briefed on the investigation. He then asked Feinstein whether she had evidence, without disclosing any classified information, that there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign.

"Not at this time," Feinstein said.

Blitzer was stunned.

There is no evidence. But the FBI Director kept an investigation open on the issue and talked about it. He did not make any recommendation to the prosecutors. After six months of investigation the FBI had no evidence for any of the rumors about Russian interference that were thrown around. It should have closed the case with a clear recommendation not to prosecute the issue. (That the former Trump NSA General Flynn once took money for a gig at Russia Today is a non-issue. He took ten times as much money from Turkey but no one seems to be interested in the background of that deal.)

That Comey kept the case open was political interference from his side. Hearings and public rumors about the case blocked the political calendar. Instead of following the facts, and deciding based upon them, he was himself running a political campaign. John Edgar Hoover demonstrated how much damage an unrestricted FBI director on political witch hunt can cause. No such dictatorial power should ever again be vested in that position and in a person who is prone to exceed his competencies.

The Clinton partisans and the Russia hawks will howl about Trump's decision for a day or two. They fear losing their current hobby horse. They will soon find a different one.

Trump has ‘humiliated’ the Russians by attacking the Syrian army airport. The dems applauded, now Trump feels free to get rid of Comey who was conspiring with the dems on nailing him about the Russians
It seems that after each ‘humiliation’ inflicted by the US on Russia and praised by the neocons, the dems and the media, Trump will use Tillerson to make a move towards more deals with Russia on Syria and other issues. Small sticks and large carrots!

WAPO parroted by NYTimes rag is caught peddling fake news: “Comey sought more resources to expand Russia Probe Days Before he was fired by President Trump, Officials say”
McCabe in his Testimony today rubbished the fake news:

Last week, then-FBI Director James B. Comey requested more resources from the Justice Department for his bureau’s investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, according to two officials with knowledge of the discussion.
Comey, who was fired by President Trump on Tuesday, made the request in a meeting last week with Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, and later briefed the chair and Democratic ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Monday, the officials said.

Now this…

On Thursday Acting FBI Director McCabe was asked if Comey had requested additional funding for the Russia investigation.
McCabe responded:
“I strongly believe the Russia investigation is adequately resourced.”
McCabe went on to say a request for funding for an individual investigation would be highly irregular.

The comments produced here have not delivered an actionable thesis able to discriminate factual reporting and from non factual propaganda.. What is needed is method to debunk fact from fiction.. a global, open source court of law kind of process, that allows all assertions to be accounted for and heard, recorded, and arranged in ways that invites all contra-thoughts, evidence, guesses, and whatever to be heard.. Science works in such a fashion. Each assertion must be treated as a binary to be sorted by the propaganda processing filter[not yet invented] into fact or non-fact.
Initially no one knew what caused polio.. its just that everyone knew someone that was a victim of polio.
Myth, conjecture, guess, and all kinds of assertions were prevalent through out the globe.. eVeryone had an idea
but none could get sufficient audience to raise adequate money to prove or disprove.. then some of the most outlandish ideas began to get some traction, funding began, and idea after idea, were laid to rest, in carefully controlled investigations that produced better investigatory methods and that closed in on how to separate massive fictions from a few relevant facts; how to develop the few relevant facts into knowledge to better evaluate the next idea.. then all of sudden things began to fit together, reliable methods were developed that could detect polio in all of its forms, and track infective distribution and life cycles, etc. It soon became obvious polio was caused by a virus, the virus was identified, and then it was only a matter of time until a vaccine was produced.. and presto.. polio disappeared..
Politics is a social phenomena.. unless everyone is somehow negatively affected by its diseases, nothing definitive will be resolved..
To cure propaganda, it is necessary to develop reliable indisputable methods capable to accurately identify and detect it, at a stage in its development cycle and distributive propagation that alerts every interested investigator. Once reliable indisputable detection methods become available, they can be used to produce a technology (vaccine) of sorts to eradicate it.
It all seems way out now, but I will bet, the world is capable to either prevent or cure itself of propaganda..

An interesting piece here from Merurous’s latest article at The Duran…
However two interesting facts came out of Lavrov’s visit.
The first is that the concept of de-escalation zones in Syria stems from an idea Tillerson took with him when he came to Moscow in April. Lavrov was quite clear about this
(Lavrov) As to Syria, we first of all focused on the ideas that had been discussed during Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s visit to Moscow when he shared his thoughts regarding de-escalation and safety. This was the initiative US President Donald Trump mentioned during his telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Secretary of State Tillerson later presented it in more detail in Moscow. The initiative is now being materialised in agreements concluded in Astana, where four de-escalation zones were proposed, including in the south, since the USA is particularly interested in stabilising the situation on Syria’s borders with Jordan and Israel. We are ready to cooperate on the issue…….
Question: You have mentioned Russia’s interest in US involvement in the creation of de-escalation zones in Syria. Can you provide more details on this? Did President Trump or Secretary Tillerson say that the United States would cooperate with Russia, one way or another, to create these zones?
Sergey Lavrov: To begin with, the idea was initiated by US officials – President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. We used the Astana venue to promote its practical implementation. We will welcome any US contribution. This issue must be entrusted to those who are dealing with the situation on the ground professionally, and who have the information. We can facilitate this process both in Astana and in Geneva. We have reached an agreement that we, as active participants in the common efforts towards a Syrian settlement, should maintain these contacts with the other key players, primarily regional countries.
……
It does seem Tillerson meeting Putin, and Lavrov meeting Trump is Trumps way of working around the current McCarthyism in the US. Possibly using the cruise missile strikes on Syria and the noise over NK as cover? Though much will depend on the meaning of this piece as to what the US/Trump is up to .. “since the USA is particularly interested in stabilising the situation on Syria’s borders with Jordan and Israel.”

Finally !!! Trump expected to sign executive order launching panel to investigate voter fraud

President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order on Thursday launching a commission to review alleged voter fraud and voter suppression in the U.S. election system, three White House officials said.
Vice President Mike Pence and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach will lead the commission, which will look at allegations of improper voting and fraudulent voter registration in states and across the nation, one official said. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss details ahead of the formal announcement.

That’s what I’ve been saying since day 1: there is absolutely no freaking way that Hitlary Killton won the popular vote! As I estimated here before the election Trump’s support at about 70% based on the Internet comments and the overall “vibe”. I was really flabbergasted why this issue was not investigated immediately – and the answer seems to be that Comey stood in the way sabotaging the effort.
Another good move: “Trump drops pledge to move US embassy to Jerusalem”

However, according to NRG, a website affiliated with Israel’s Maariv newspaper, Mr Trump has changed his mind within the last few days, and has informed Benjamin Netanyahu of his decision. Mr Netanyahu has been vocal in encouraging the US to relocate its embassy, telling his cabinet in January that “our position has always been that the US embassy should be in Jerusalem”.

Recently I’ve come to the conclusion that the biggest threat has been a false flag provocation involving biological weapons. This is confirmed by a very loud screech by the Evil Witch during the 2016 campaign (I believe): “bioweapon attack means our nuclear response”.
I think the plan if Killary had been elected would involve flooding the US with “refugees” either turned into bio-weapons, or launching them and that attack would’ve been blamed on Russia, China, Iran, Syria. Either as the direct perpetrators or accused of “harboring” the “terrorists’ just like in OBL case.
By then the ABM systems in Eastern Europe would’ve been operational and nuclear first strike launched based on RAND’s simulations estimating success.
Election of Trump stopped that evil, genocidal, murderous plan in its tracks. or at least postponed.
That’s why the cabal is so madly desperate to remove Trump and open the flood gates with the “refugees”, and why Trump’s one of the first decisions as the POTUS was to prevent that.
That disgraceful clowns from London – Cameron, Fallon, et cohortes – on a number of occasions “warned” (i.e. admitted to planning) about “ISIS” imminent threat of using biological weapons in Europe.
Let me sum up – so the plan to start WW3 to save the anti-human global imperial thalassocracy from London includes:
1) refugees flooding the West
2) used as the cover for bio-weapon attack
3) nuclear response
4) first strike successful thanks to ABMs in Europe and Asia
I have an impression that everything we see from the Borg has been aimed to make agenda still possible, they’ve been desperately trying to wriggle they way back onto that track after each obstacle Trump’s been throwing at them…

Nuclear false flag is much more difficult to conduct since the Russians have excellent sensors on their satellites that can track radioactive particles.
And the bioweapons (probably enhanced by nanobots for better control) are actually the most deadly – do not wear out after time or due to the weather like the chem weapons.
And then BlurpingCunt, the famous “independent” Internet analyst named Higgins (or rather Haggis judging by the appearance) would give you perfect explanation of “how it happened”…

Did Trump fire Comey or did he receive the request to fire Comey? If we look at Comey’s handling of the investigation into Hillary’s criminality we might deduce that Comey has become ‘compromised’ and had to go. First Comey plays ball and declines pressing charges. Then in the last few days of the electioneering re opens the investigation. Why? Did someone or group get to him? I believe pressure of some sort was placed on Comey to re open the investigation and that these same pressures could be used again against him. Result – Comey gets fired as a compromised errand boy.

I see counterpunch has an article on this which includes a chunk of b’s commentary on the Russian furphy. It goes without saying that the old plagiarism mill aka counterpunch misattributes this site as “Moon Over Alabama….” sad because it means the author was so lacking in awareness to grok the source of this bar’s name.
Apart from that and a few other notable flaws the writerattempts to point out the incongruity of dem party ersatz lefties defending the FBI, which is a bit like writing a coupla thousand words on the incisive topic “Hey water is wet” but there you go.
