Three pieces in the same leading newspaper show how little changes with "hacking" stories when the powers-that-are decide that some country is now the "enemy."
1. By NYT staff reporter Erich Lichtblau: Increase in Electronic Attacks Leads to Warning on Hackers and U.S. Safety
Intelligence officials are concerned that a recent rise in electronic attacks against government and military computer networks in the United States may be the work of pro-[country] hackers and could signal a "potential crisis" in national security, according to a classified F.B.I. assessment.
The assessment, prepared last week by the National Infrastructure Protection Center at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, warned intelligence officials that the attacks, which have been relatively limited, are likely to grow more widespread and "more dangerous" as tension over a possible war against [country] grows.
American intelligence analysts say they have long been concerned by the notion that Al Qaeda could use computers to wage terror — disrupting water treatment plants or nuclear facilities, for instance. Experts say the link between [country] and computer hacking may have been underestimated and poses a growing threat to United States security.
"[Country] is certainly among the places in the world that we think a cyberattack might well be launched from," Representative Robert E. Andrews of New Jersey, a Democrat on the House Armed Service Committee who has been active on cyberwarfare issues, said in an interview.
Mr. Andrews noted that computer attacks were difficult to trace and could be damaging, which he said met 's goals. "A cyberattack really fits [country]'s [leader] paradigm for attacking us," he said.

SAN FRANCISCO — An elaborate, three-year cyberespionage campaign against United States military contractors, members of Congress, diplomats, lobbyists and Washington-based journalists has been linked to hackers in [country].
The campaign compromised the computers of some 2,000 victims and went unnoticed since 2011, according to a report to be released Thursday by iSight Partners, a computer security firm in Dallas.

WASHINGTON — Computer systems used by Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign were hacked in an attack that appears to have come from [country]’s intelligence services, a federal law enforcement official said on Friday.
The apparent breach, coming after the disclosure last month that the Democratic National Committee’s computer system had been compromised, escalates an international episode in which Clinton campaign officials have suggested that [country] might be trying to sway the outcome of the election.

Operation Mockingbird
Operation Mockingbird was a campaign by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to influence media in the US and internationally. It was reportedly organized as an independent office by Frank Wisner in 1948. After 1953, when Allen Dulles was appointed as head of the CIA, he took a strong role in overseeing the operation, which already had influence with 25 newspapers and wire agencies. The operation has been documented as operating at least during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
The unit recruited leading American journalists into a propaganda network to help present the CIA’s views. It funded some student and cultural organizations and magazines as fronts. As it developed, it also worked to influence foreign media and political campaigns, in addition to activities conducted by other operating units of the CIA. The CIA’s use of journalists continued unabated until 1973, when the program was scaled back. When George H.W. Bush was appointed as director of the CIA in 1976, the program of paying journalists for cooperation was announced to have ended. Their voluntary cooperation was encouraged.[1]
In 1966 Ramparts magazine published an article revealing that the National Student Association was funded by the CIA. It was the first time the agency was revealed to have interfered with US domestic activities. The United States Congress investigated the allegations and published a report in 1976.
Other accounts of these activities have also been published. The media operation was first called Mockingbird in Deborah Davis’s 1979 book, Katharine the Great: Katharine Graham and The Washington Post.[2]…

The politicians and the mainstream media outlets have shown their cards yet again with a massive contradiction in policy.
In one iteration of the NDAA policy makers overturn Smith Mundt thereby legalizing state sponsored propaganda to be used on the citizens of the United States and in the latest iteration we see the NDAA include an act to counter disinformation and propaganda. We can easily make the connection that in the wake of the “Fake News” hash tag war that has been unleashed upon independent media, with FaceBook partnering with government sponsored “Fact Checking” sites and algorithms being put in place to remove so-called “Fake News” from social media feeds, that this latest addition to the NDAA does not bode well for independent media and has massive potential to be abused for political purposes.

If you do a google news search on the Mariah Carey event, and review the content of a modest sample of articles, there is a real, factual(mostly), plethora of news on the ‘event’ by all kinds of media ‘journalists’, reporters, etc, that largely is traditional, even if sometimes tawdry/tacky, entertainment, news.
Now do the same Google news search on the Wadi Baradi … now a sampling from the articles finds common phrases, common consistent & persistent themes, in mostly every article by the major players in the MSM, even tho the reporters are from different news wires, such as Reuters, Associated Press, etc, different media corporations, operating on different continents, and from different geographically diverse Bureaus, such as Beirut, Amman & Turkey … and secondary and regional media outlets these pickup and repeat these ‘reports’.
The Empire, via it’s Propaganda & Psyops troops and subordinate proxies, and contractors, doesn’t care about whats reported re MC, but they damned well virtually draft and disseminate for publication the patently false, non-factual and slanted articles re wadi Baradi.

A 24 hour news cycle, ubiquitous mobile phones with sound, camera, and video capabilities, and that anyone with an internet link can participate in ‘dissemination’. Literally anyone can challenge the Psyops campaign and the propaganda created to support it.
And the sites listed by ProPornOT, yet also simply lone individuals, don’t have to own a radio station, a newspaper or a television station to do so. Hence, MOA. And the Truth can be repeated, and amplified and copied and distributed in almost real-time in a mesh network to other sites, such as GlobalResearch or 21stCenturyWire
This is the current problem they face, not being able to truly dominate the ‘message’ … that’s why internet censorship laws will be comin’ down the pike, to stifle, shutdown or kill off unapproved voices, especially so, if and where they have credibility and reach.
