Pity Russia Ambassador Vitaly Churkin and Dr. Bashar Jaafari – Permanent Representative to UN, brutally attacked by the warmongers. Posted by: Jack Smith | Dec 18 2016 6:19 utc | 105 This is a question, thought I’d post it here to see if anyone has any input. Posted by: D. Posted by: Debsisdead | Dec 18 2016 8:17 utc | 110 estouxim@105 – Thanks for those wonderfully thought-provoking links to Maximo Sandins work. He sounds like an interesting guy. Looking for more information on him on-line, I see that he certainly has his detractors as well – which only makes the subject all the more interesting. Well, to me anyways: Bare-knuckles rhetorical fights between Biology PhDs are worth their weight in gold – they should be a mandatory part of all higher education. They even published the names of the officers. Apparently, they were hiding in a cellar of destroyed building. The name of the american officer is David Scott Winer. Is there a way to confirm? Posted by: kemerd | Dec 18 2016 10:47 utc | 115 PavewayIV @115 – My condolences on the unfortunte fate of Mr. Muggles. Posted by: jfl | Dec 18 2016 14:37 utc | 123 EU Confused About Its Future: Mulling Cooperation with Moscow to Counter Trump Posted by: ProPeace | Dec 18 2016 14:49 utc | 124 Tomorrow, 19 December 2016, another December day that may go down in infamy as the day the Constitution and the idea itself of the Republic died. Indeed, a CIA engineered coup d’état from beginning to end. Cry not though for the ‘citizen’, few experience a real loss of their Republic, their hearts captured under delusions of some dream ‘democratic’ estate; for the most part unqualified by education, or intellect, through thought or spirit to exercise that ròle as accomplished citizens of a Republic, responsible for its governance. About half the electorate hardly qualifies as adult enough to be trusted with the responsibility of voting and should be relieved of such burden. Only a diminished portion of those who remain have the intellect or education to sustain a popular republic and the attention governance requires. It is not nearly the wonder that oligarch and elite have supplanted and replaced the Republic birthed more than two centuries ago. That Republic lasted just above the life expectancy of Republics and came no where near the time its progenitor republic in Rome persisted. Enjoy your empire – if you can keep it – there is not much after that goes. Posted by: Formerly T-Bear | Dec 18 2016 15:13 utc | 125 127;Tillerson is an oilman like the Bushes.I guess they know him. This article on Aung San Suu Kyi in the the Myanmar Times is quite fascinating, it seems press freedom isn’t really a problem there: http://www.mmtimes.com/index.php/opinion/24228-has-daw-aung-san-suu-kyi-taken-on-too-much.html Posted by: D. Barnes | Dec 18 2016 15:54 utc | 129 jfl@129 Posted by: juliania | Dec 18 2016 15:59 utc | 130 I agree with you, Formerly T-Bear@ 131, that if the electors do not honor the duty imposed upon them by the Constitution, there will have been a coup rendering that document null and void. And ironically enough, it will have been the manner in which the elites have consistently sought to return us to pre-Constitutional days when only the few had an adequate education that accomplishes this – whereas the thrust of the nation’s history since it was formed has been to educate the populace in order that they may make free choices of governance not based on instinct or prejudice but on the well-ordered education available to all, rich and poor. Posted by: juliania | Dec 18 2016 16:14 utc | 131 Apparently the UNSC meeting Friday last was in response to NATO officers being captured in Aleppo. Being in Syria ILLEGALLY prevents the NATO personnel from receiving protection under the Geneva Conventions. Posted by: ALberto | Dec 18 2016 17:14 utc | 132 “Thanks to information received, Syrian authorities discovered the headquarters of high ranking western/NATO officers in the basement of an area in East Aleppo and have captured them alive. Some names have already been given to Syrian journalists, myself included. The nationalities are US, French, British, German, Israeli, Turkish, Saudi, Moroccan, Qatari etc. In light of their nationalities and their rank, I assure you that the Syrian government have a very important catch, which should enable them to direct negotiations with the countries that have tried to destroy them.” Posted by: ALberto | Dec 18 2016 17:33 utc | 133 wrt comment(s) above concerning “low comment” on this blog… Posted by: crone | Dec 18 2016 18:37 utc | 134 Cold War Hysteria vs. US National Security Posted by: okie farmer | Dec 18 2016 18:46 utc | 135 74 Posted by: chipnik | Dec 18 2016 18:58 utc | 136 Sidebar: — re. some posts above: Posted by: Noirette | Dec 18 2016 19:02 utc | 137 Latest Update trapped Anglo-Saxon mercenaries in Aleppo Posted by: Jack Smith | Dec 18 2016 20:08 utc | 138 @101 Perimeter. Apologies to all for all the space taken, this was copy/pasted from an email exchange from a few years ago as the original link is now 404.. Whether true or not the content is in line with Putin’s clean up and curbing of many (zio) oligarchs from the nineties.. Think tee-rump’s supporters will be happy with this guy? Posted by: jfl | Dec 19 2016 12:12 utc | 156 So Kolomoisky is finally suffering a bout of indigestion from gorging himself on the rotting carcass that is the Ukrainian economy.
