Fundraiser

(This post is pinned to the top. Please scroll down for new content.)

During the twelve years this Moon of Alabama blog is up we only once asked for financial contributions. That was eight years ago. The money received then payed for a decent laptop. That very laptop is still in daily use to produce the content for this blog.

But the laptop's life is coming to an end. So are my current abilities to carry the costs for running this blog. The hosting fees are fairly minor and the cost for a new laptop probably bearable. But I do lose a lot of necessary income due to the time spent researching and writing the daily post. This now necessitates to ask for compensation.

You can donate with a credit card through the PayPal button below.

More preferable though are direct payments. Transaction costs are less for direct bank-wire transfers, for cashing checks or simply cash. Please email me at MoonofA @ aol.com (discard the blanks) for the necessary contact data.

Thank you very much

Along with many of the others, thanks for all the work. Your analyses are far and away the most insightful available on these topics. A much needed oasis in the desert of intellectual mediocrity and corruption that plagues us.
So in addition to these words, I’ll post some cash. (the spooks can watch my money trail and shit their pants if they need to, for all the good it’ll do them. With friends like the US, who needs terrorists?)

The Bear has woken up, it must be spring:
“US officials engaged in further brinkmanship with authorities in Moscow, discussing the non-diplomatic responses that could be taken if the Syrian govt. continues operations in Aleppo. In his press conference, spokesman for the US Department of State, John Kirby, made a concrete threat against the Russians by stating that they would have to “send troops home in body bags, and will continue to lose resources,” and “that more Russian aircraft will be shot down.” Kirby also predicted that Russian cities would be attacked by terrorists.
The Russian MOD interpreted such statements as US admission that the “opposition” supposedly waging a “civil war” in Syria is in reality a US-controlled terrorist “internationale.” What is particularly shocking in Kirby’s admission, according to Russian MOD official representative, Major General Igor Konashenkov, that the US direct influence over terrorists is global in scope and extends to Russia, among others.
“Concerning Kirby’s threat concerning possible loss of Russian aircraft and sending Russian soldiers home ‘in body bags’, I will say that we are well informed on where in Syria, including in Aleppo Province, and exactly how many ‘unadvertised’ specialists are engaged in operational planning and commanding the militants.”

Donated through PP.
Haven’t been around the comment section here much the last five years, since the Syrian war escalated.
Been busy fighting the good fight in the comment sections of Reddit’s SyrianCivilWar sub / Twitter amoung others places, it was needed at the time for regulars of MoA (who understood events well) to expand out and attempt to explain things to more people on larger platforms (most people then were just getting an interest in Middle East politics/war).
Anyway always checked out your posts B during that time, and have also followed your discussions with Elijah Magnier on twitter. When the Syrian War ends hope to return more actively to MoA posting links to news items I notice.

Thank you thank you thank you, b.
Hope you will consider a permanent tip jar or more regularly posting a fundraising page (like with every open thread?). Eight years is way too long to wait to thank you again.
Thank you!

Hi b –
“the check is in the mail”…as the old saying goes. I sent it a couple of days ago. Ditto what so many others have already said- your work and this site are so tremendously valuable and appreciated.
Greetings to other MoA comrades. I don’t post often, but lurk constantly.

However, today received 2 PayPal emails stating my bank debit card expired. This is not true. Will reconfirm with my bank for authenticity or possible hacking in your site tomorrow.
Anyone, facing similar problems…. DO NOT click to update PayPal account or add addition bank account.
BTW, I never use Webmail in any online transaction when buying online. Never trust Webmail but Eudora email clients.
