Among Buddhists, Way of the Dow, the Dharma and of the Dinar, fear and hatred of The Other exists, even at a time where worship of The Chosen has never been higher, even at a Petrocene Epoch where there has never been more economic disparity and war pron and abject slavery and overt rape, where entire island groups have been taken over and converted into private Xanadus, with compliant female servants even strawberries flown in every day from New Zealand. Look at the socioeconomy of Bali.
Around the world, societies, ecologies, matriarchies and currencies are being brutally raped, then flayed alive, looted and left for dead, while the idle patriarchy at Z FB, ZDrudge, Zeitbart and even MoA jibberjabber about which minister is meeting with which, and which war party is holding which patch of scorched earth, and how we must H8, and H8, and H8 … until our next dose of pron.
Rape is meaningless in a world of nothing but rape. As the oil runs out, the entire bottom of the human pyramid will be crushed to bone dust and blood to grease the golden chariots of The Chosen.

Certainly the comparison isn’t an exact one and the numbers for the Cuba example pale by comparison – I suppose it is speculating too much to have wondered (as I did) whether ‘great minds’ in the US camp might have remembered what I was remembering and put a flea in Erdogan’s ear so to speak. Who then may have expected to be supported in his own grand design. Some of Castro’s releases, it was claimed at the time, were from his prisons, which was not the case for Erdogan of course.
Oh, it is all such a horrible mess, a nightmare that seems to have no end. Maybe Obama’s tears are because he is beginning to realize this.

Thanks for the link. It is nice to read that both Russia and China are going to establish alternatives to the “petro-dollar”.
I hope folks are starting to see the big picture here of the forces of private finance against the forces of sovereign finance. Everything that is going on is an actor in this game, IMO.
I am a pacifist but having spent my life watching our sick world get worse I posit that what society needs now is a well placed bomb at Davos, when all the major puppets of the global plutocrats are there. With the potential extinction issues society faces currently, we don’t have time for guillotines. But there will be plenty of war criminals left for processing through the Hague and fueling further debate on who we have been, are and want to be as a species.

For BRIC to ‘circumvent the US$ PetroDollar’ simply means trading agriculture (and manufactured) products for Russian oil at market contract rates. They’re not setting up a ruble or a yuan bourse, they’re desparately trading food for oil.

?Then where is the economics in the trade? Russia gets 50 kg of wheat delivered for every barrel of oil at the wellhead. They’ll starve! It costs SOMEONE a ton of US$s to tranship that trade in foreign bottoms from portvto port. Where’s those US$s coming from?
It comes from privatizing and selling off the public resources and heirlooms, as every other country is doing besides BRIC, around the world! Go to FOREX and study the 5-year charts! It’s all collapsing.

If one would believe Western propaganda, one would think Tibet is an occupied country of saints by the evil China. Reality is, Tibet is a historic China’s land, and they indeed run things better than despotic medieval Lamas (think of Saudis without oil in Himalayas). And I have no love for Chinese ruling party.
Another irony is, despite of Tibet’s and Dalai Lamas advertising as Buddhists, they actually no longer follow Buddha’s teachings. To be fair, thats the same with most of religions, majority of Christians and Muslims are followers in the name only either.

The reality is that Middle East/ North African refuges are busy with life. Just like all refuges. If s/he doesn’t have a “papers”, even worst for them. You’ve seen anybody asking this type questions?
When I read this articles I have impression “refuge” isn’t refuge any more, the refuge is someone who speak a language of the country s/he landed and goes everyday in shopping with iPhone, and driving BMW etc.

In the Western culture (if there is such thing) there is something what is called “body language”. I’ve never understood what that means. I consider that the Western culture, and in particular the US ones, is zoological for the most part. When I say “zoological” it might bring a picture of hyena and lion eating its victim but they just do that to survive.
I human-zoological terms the US is rapacious and devouring state of affairs, and by purpose I am not using the term “society” which the US is not.
That Guardian’s photo helped me a lot to understand meaning of body language or posturing if you like. I’ve watched this photo for several minutes you see the sheriff who treats that roughneck with “respect”. And the Respect is another word that I meet in African-Americ. songs but that’s another story.

You might quote this and that till doomsday date and it won’t help. If you want to resolve the problem you need to identify the source of that problem.
Where the heroin is coming from and why Maine? Manchester NH from same reason is also hard hit with drug use. There is heavily armed police force and paramilitary ones too and epidemic use of drugs. There is more than dozen of intelligent agencies and still heroin travel from NYC to Main. Cui Bono and how is it possible? Heroin is a synthetic drug and this country has very developed chemical and pharmaceutical industry. I’m just sayin’

William Engdahl briefly mentions in his article linked below that Qatar is “home to the Muslim Brotherhood and a major funder of ISIS in Syria and Iraq.” Could this mean that Qatar is also funding these thuggish attacks in Germany as well? If so, US and the West really need to rethink their “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” strategy in the Middle East. It’s obviously coming back to bite them, much like a venomous snake would bite its own tail!

– The US wants to preserve the state structures of Syria, including the syrian army. The US acknowledges that an overthrow of the current syrian government would have horrendous consequences for the syrian population. Seems the US has learned – at least – a little from their other “adventures” in the Middle East.
– Al Nusra and their brethren are used to keep/increase the pressure on the Assad government.

Nope. That’s wrong. The MSM needs to stop ‘forgetting’ to report it when ‘Islamic Leaders DO condemn extremism. That issue has been done to death by Right Wing Crank, pro-Israel politicians in Oz. Last year, a bunch of comedians ran through a list of incidents in Oz claimed (by RWC p-I ratbags) to have been ‘ignored’ by Muslim leaders and then showed news footage and print articles of a Leader publicly condemning each and every incident on the list.
Perhaps you need to acquaint yourself with the term Jew Controlled Media and contemplate the percentage of hi-profile “News” outlets in the West which are NOT controlled by Jews, or pro-USrael ideologues. It’s like searching for needles in a haystack (lots more hay than needles).

extremism is one thing, but “leaders” you mention don’t include the crazy religious guys who have tv channels on cable tv;
a reason in france why no one address the theological issues directly is that it would imply discussing the sexism of ultra orthodox jews too;
the pattern you see now is that even if the “intellectuals” can get to salafism when they have been taught that djihad is a pillar of islam at school, it is always the petty criminals/drug dealers who do the dirty job (most of them having “discovered” (i.e strated to practice) religion in jail. not every “reigious” family undertands/teaches/practices religion the same way, and guys who start criminal activities at 12-13 years old are seldom from stable families.
but the guys who create the school surriculum in KSA or Egypt and form kids telling them about “martyrdom” “paradise” etc (i have seen questions involving those themes on “religion” exams for 13 year old kids in egypt) stay at the schizophrenic level of teaching doctrines which they would not put into practice because in the end they are more educated than the people on the ground who are actually sent to commit violence (good example of that in the recent interviews of Farid Benyettou)

I just do not see Trump followers buying any kind of books, and in general, bookstores in USA are following the story of the buffalo: roaming through the planes in thundering herds, long time ago, now, tourists attractions due to their rarity. I have a satirical history of England written in 1920s, a collection of commonly known facts (suitably garbled). It is amazing how rich in facts it is, compared to what people know now. Why bad mouthing of opponent uses “Nazi” and “Munich” so often — in part because there are hardly any other negative examples that would be popularly understood.
