I don't see the US media making these points clear to people. Seems many have a narrative in theirr head and it's what Mosby is saying. I made this video to clarify what Marilyn Mosby, State’s Attorney for Baltimore City, is saying as far as who and how:

I meant to write "it's NOT what Mosby is say" (as far as teh narrative many are assuming) I wish we could edit out comments:

"Assuming that Obama will choose to resist against the neocon pressure until the end of his term, and that one month is enough for the US mainstream media propaganda to 'prepare' public opinion for a warm conflict with Russia, the most probable period for such a dangerous conflict would be sometime after 8-10 Dec. of 2016 until the end of the year."

Cruel moderation tools:

A hellbanned user is invisible to all other users, but crucially, not himself. From their perspective, they are participating normally in the community but nobody ever responds to them. They can no longer disrupt the community because they are effectively a ghost. It's a clever way of enforcing the "don't feed the troll" rule in the community. When nothing they post ever gets a response, a hellbanned user is likely to get bored or frustrated and leave. I believe it, too; if I learned anything from reading The Great Brain as a child, it's that the silent treatment is the cruelest punishment of them all.

Russia will have to speed up the S500 system for such a contingency.

Sorry for the serial posting :), but incidentally the last Jeff Atwood's Coding Horror (cruelty above) blog post is:

What is trolling?

The most striking characteristic of the worst trolls is that their position on a given topic is absolutely written in stone, immutable, and they will defend said position to the death in the face of any criticism, evidence, or reason.

Look. I'm not new to the Internet. I know nobody has ever convinced anybody to change their mind about anything through mere online discussion before. It's unpossible.

But I love discussion. And in any discussion that has a purpose other than gladiatorial opinion bloodsport, the most telling question you can ask of anyone is this:

Why are you here?

Did you join this discussion to learn? To listen? To understand other perspectives? Or are you here to berate us and recite your talking points over and over? Are you more interested in fighting over who is right than actually communicating?

If you really care about a topic, you should want to learn as much as you can about it, to understand its boundaries, and the endless perspectives and details that make up any interesting topic. Heck, I don't even want anyone to change your mind. But you do have to demonstrate to us that you are, at minimum, at least somewhat willing to entertain other people's perspectives, and potentially evolve your position on the topic to a more nuanced, complex one over time.

In other words, are you here in good faith?

Posted by: citizen X | May 4 2015 20:59 utc | 18

coverage of this incident reflects conflicting propaganda campaigns. The White House attempts to convince that all of its drone targets are carefully vetted, with minimum civilian casualties. The Syrian insurgents (assisted by the SOHR) attempt to convince that the majority of its casualties are civilians (even when over 3/4 of them are adult males), while at the same time the majority of the casualties it inflicts are combatants and government spies (even when there are sizable numbers of women and children). American MSM, which usually reflects a pro-Israel, pro-GCC narrative, gets a bit confused when there is daylight between White House and Zionist warmongering agendas.

Why ban him? Exposing him as the hasbara troll he is, more than enough. He's an errand boy with such a low-IQ he can't muster anything but insults, and such a poor self-image he has to project onto others what he hates about himself. He's been sent on an errand, and MoA will have to suffer him as long as b doesn't exercise his prerrogatives. And then, he will be back under another monicker, spewing the same vulgar trash.

@dh@5

@1 You can't get rid of foff. I'm hoping he'll go head to head with wow at some point.

I think it unfair to compare WoW to lol, at least WoW tries to reason his lopsided "neutrality," does not suffer from a "genius" complex, and respects himself enough to argue his points, however mistaken they might be. Whoever hired lol was scraping the bottom of the septic tank, looking for a troll on the cheap, a nincompoop good enough to spew trash, period.

I say this as someone who used to expose this little shit daily, as it used to be the days he "argue" and lie about stuff, but still pretend to be other than a simple troll. That was more dangerous. But now his mental illness has come so far that he can be nothing other than what he is: a fucking idiot.

So, if I was you, Lone Wolf and others, I'd just ignore him. b will delete all his posts soon enough and it will be like he never existed.

An incredibly dishonest sleight-of-hand there from Rufie,

Definitions of the phrase "The Holocaust" are not hard to find

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_HolocaustThe Holocaust (from the Greek ὁλόκαυστος holókaustos: hólos, "whole" and kaustós, "burnt"), also known as the Shoah (Hebrew: השואה, HaShoah, "the catastrophe"), was a genocide in which approximately six million Jews were killed by the Nazi regime and its collaborators.‎Genocide - ‎Gas chamber - ‎Victims - ‎Holocaust (disambiguation)

    Introduction to the Holocaust
www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php?ModuleId=10005143The Holocaust was the systematic, bureaucratic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators.

It does not include the goyim as Rufie well knows.

Why he would choose to lie like that is a complete mystery

Perhaps one of his trained monkey-"historians" mislead him

Today's reported "terrorist attack" on the Free Speech hate-Muslims art exhibition in Texas is almost too unbelievable! Two heavily armed "terrorists" ride up with their assault rifles, manage to shoot a security guard in the ankle, and then are brought down by a pistol-packing patrolman. Could a more hapless adversary be imagined? And then the congregation inside the exhibition was put under lockdown, in preparation for an all-out assault by enraged, anti-free speech foreigners. Which never materialized... On the national news, the story pushes all the right buttons, but the event turned out almost has harmless as a classic FBI entrapment scheme... What's up with that?

Pam Geller and her various organizations which villify, twist truths, spill calumny about Muslims are not trying to increase "hate" toward Muslims in the areas where it is being put into effect. NYC is getting many complaints about the ugly and false ads she's placed in subways and on sides of buses.

Geller's real agenda is to enrage some young Muslims into doing just what happened in TX: Poorly planned seeking of revenge against those treating Muslims and their faith very badly.

She is in charge of setting up provocations, so that Muslims will get ugly publicity.

Her group is listed as a US domestic hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks various hate groups within the US. NPR had an interview with a rep from the SPLC today.

Let's get down. Accommodation is not in the cards so why the pretension? What happened to dropping out? Nobody has low expectations anymore. Is anybody really tuned in? More happening than not happening. And it's not happening. Unity is the only way and it's not happening. There's a view that won't let unity happen. And everybody shares it. What happens the day after humankind finally does push the button on itself? The sun will rise just as it always has and over time the dust will settle, nature will then have a clean slate to begin the process all over again. Nothing so special about the human species after all. 100,000 years later, maybe something somewhere will poke its sickly head through the sand to view the stars. Till then, hold on tight. Too many loose ends to manage. China is all about hands off.

As Donetsk Republic’s Ministry of Defense informed, 70 incidents of ceasefire violation were observed today, “including 15 incidents when the opponent opened artillery fire”.

“The nationalist battalions, enlisted in the Ukrainian military forces, proceed with chaotic fire at residential communities of the Kievskiy district (Donetsk), settlements Sakhanka and Shirokino, destroying houses and communications of peaceful citizens”, remarked Eduard Basurin, the representative of Donetsk Republic Defense.

The Head of Donetsk Republic Aleksandr Zakharchenko informed that, as result of counter-artillery work yesterday, the units of Donetsk Republic army liquidated up to four artillery batteries of the Ukrainian forces, 2 tanks and 4 self-propelled units.

Major General Ivan Kondratov, the commander of Republican Guard of Donetsk Republic informed that “at the time of attack on Donetsk, on May 3 night, Ukrainian forces’ operation unfolded to break defense of Shirokino. Fifteen hundred-strong infantry supported by D-30 howitzers and 152 mm mortars attacked Donetsk Republic forces in a move toward Novoazovsk”.

“The attack was subdued”. According to Kondratov, the opponent incurred significant losses.

lol -- What is untrue?

Millions died, the first into the camps to face it were the Reds. This fact is typically overlooked in the stock accounts of the Nazi atrocities.

Nazi electoral campaigns stressed their anti-communism, not their anti-semitism. They did unite the two distinct trends in their thought by often speakinf of "Judeo-Bolshevism." You should know also of the infamous "Commissar Order," mandating the execution of captured party members, in effect at the start of Barbarossa.

The path that leads to Auschwitz begins at Dachau, the first camp, built to house the Reds. To say that the only victims of the Holocaust are those of the gas chambers is to do a profound disservice to memory and justice.

This is one of the objections I have to the present misinterpretation of the Holocaust; it obscures the real origins of fascism in conservative anti-communism. That it shields Israel from legitimate criticism and condemnation may be a bigger problem, I would allow.

I get the irony of a Holocaust denier lecturing me on the improper use of the term "Holocaust," in the very same terms the JDL would. Do you?

I've been increasingly alarmed by the unconditional support for the neo-fascist junta in Ukraine. But it's seemed merely deeply cynical. The U.S. has backed Nazis and fascists before in proxy and civil wars. (see: the motley crew of Nazis the CIA relied on to overthrow Mossadegh.)

But I'm really disturbed to the core by the deliberate targeting of civilians in Yemen. This is a war of extermination. Supposedly the U.S. is picking targets to help the Saudis avoid civilian casualties. Sounds like what they're actually doing is helping the Saudis pick civilian targets. And we now can infer without a doubt that the Saudis are backing Al Qaeda - shipping weapons to the Qaeda-controlled "councils," sparing the Qaeda-controlled areas from airstrikes, areas where food and medicine are miraculously plentiful, and where a shipment of wheat just arrived from Ukraine (surely not a coincidence).

I think America is becoming outright totalitarian. I now believe in the inverted totalitarianism people have referenced here - but I'm also starting to believe that totalitarianism is getting "extroverted." Forgive me, jaded observers, if my shock amuses you.

A final note on Yemen: I wrote some number of days ago that I thought the deep state is dragging us into a strategically senseless, criminal war partly against Obama's wishes. And that it showed in anonymous officials' expressions of embarrassment and bafflement about the war in major newspapers. Shortly after I wrote that, the Saudis announced their fake halt to the bombing. I think that's proof if you need any that the deep state is behind this - it's a very deep-state charade to run - and I think it also hints, again, at the possibility the Obama administration has lost control of the Saudis, and even our own military - since our military is evidently waging naked genocide in tandem with the Saudis.

Saudi Arabia has not done anything worse to Yemen than Ukraine is doing to its own people. And I guess you have forgotten that the US killed 2-3 million civilians in Vietnam.

I guess you didn't watch the video james linked to at #37. If you had, you wouldn't be so "shocked".

Yemeni tribal men take over 4 Saudi military posts: Report

Citing Yemeni sources, the Lebanese Al-Manar channel reported on Tuesday that members of Yemeni tribes entered Saudi soil from Yemen’s northwestern Sa’ada Province and took control of the military posts in Najran and Jazan regions.

The report added that several Saudi troops were detained by the Yemeni tribesmen as well.

Riyadh has not commented on the report.

The development comes amid the continuation of Saudi Arabia’s military aggression against Yemen.

Yemeni media say different areas of Sa’ada were hit by 50 rockets overnight. Earlier, Hajjah Province came under attack.

On Monday, dozens of people were reportedly killed or injured in airstrikes on the southern province of Ibb.

Elsewhere in the southern Aden Province, an airport was hit more than 150 times.

I guess the Saudis will now have to start bombing Saudi Arabia?

Having given give the generally accepted definitions of the phrase "The Holocaust" the sycophantic halfwits at MOA now seek to redefine the phrase simply to suit their purposes

Lol

You turds can pretend it means something else if you want, I can't stop ya doing that, but you'll still be a bunch of halfwits afterward, only this time you'll be lying halfwits rather than just plain ol ordinary halfwits

in re 56 -- No self-awareness then, along with no honesty and no class. You accept the definition of an event you deny from those you criticize from profiting from it.

RationalWiki say of denialism, "Holocaust denial is a form of anti-Semitism often embraced by bigots who are too cowardly to admit that they wished that Hitler had finished the job."

We're dishonests racists, Barflies, to point out that he's a racist, a fascist, and an ignorant bully. Ah, the lofty moral heights of the Holocaust denier.

@rufus magister #58:

You are more naive than I thought. lol is not a Holocaust denier. As I have repeatedly said, he is a hasbara troll. He merely falsely claimed to be a Holocaust denier at one point in order to discredit the blog. Then when you departed from the official line, that the Holocaust is all about the Jews, he switched course and went after you for not following the official line.

I can't believe that you continue to proceed under the assumption that lol is "arguing" in good faith, so that you seek to demonstrate to him the flaws in his "arguments". Such an approach to trolls is futile.

tsk tsk Rufie, lying again?

Quote where I "denied" anything.

You won't cos you can't.

I gave you the agreed upon definition of "The Holocaust" because you are dishonestly (as usual) trying to re-define it so as to cover-up the deliberate and self-serving lie you told at 23.

Now you can whine about the definition all you want but it IS the definition of the phrase "The Holocaust". Whining about it won't change that.

And your attempts to claim otherwise are as usual nothing more than the dishonest whining of a halfwit

I realise you'd love to redefine it to mean something other than what it means in order to serve your flimsy arguments, but tbh when you need to redefine the English language to bolster yer argument it's time to get a different argument.

Not that you'll do that of course because being a dishonest halfwit you have, like a good little halfwit would, decided to double-down on the effort to completely redefine the definition of "The Holocaust"

Posted by: lol | May 5 2015 13:08 utc | 64

59;Never heard one person in my life deny that Hitler targeted Jews(among many others)and many many died. The term Holocaust denier is a sham. But one can't question the shibboleths put out by Zion, which insist that Hitler was out to kill all the Jews, and his failure to do so was an oversight?
Serial liars lie serially, and their untruths make their stories just that, stories.
And today's reality makes those stories out of date and irrelevant.

Demian on the other hand just keeps making a bigger and bigger idiot of himself, mouth-frothing about them imaginary Hasbara Jew hordes he masturbates to every night

This is one of the objections I have to the present misinterpretation of the Holocaust; it obscures the real origins of fascism in conservative anti-communism. That it shields Israel from legitimate criticism and condemnation may be a bigger problem, I would allow.

Posted by: rufie | May 5, 2015 1:08:50 AM | 49

Wow

just wow

rufie now wants to argue that in his defence of his earlier blatant lie about "The Holocaust" he is entitled to now re-define the phrase on the basis of what he thinks it should mean rather than what it actually means. So apparently the poor clown wants us to accept that in his earlier deliberate misuse of the phrase "The Holocaust" he was not using the actual definition, like a sane or honest person arguing in good faith would, but was in fact his own made-up version.

Oh Rufie. lol

this just gets better and better.

Neither Iran, nor Iraq or Russia won't allow it. And you seem to be hellbent on pushing a wedge between Hezbollah and the Axis of Resistance, wrong on a second count. Nusra has lots of sophisticated toys with which to kill people, don't they? Wonder where they got them from. Certainly not from the people who want a war of all against all, right? They financed their operations and trained their foot soldiers, with their own oil sales...no help at all from Saudi-Israelia OR Dumbfuckistan's other local lackeys, I'm sure. What a fan club they seem to have - we have to support them over THERE so we don't have to kill them over here, or something?

I detest Nusra - I just took up this name to try to bring more focus on the Syrian conflict, as the comment stream on this site has devolved into trolling and off-topic discussions. I reckoned that the ambush/massacre on the Syrian troops north of Aleppo was an indicator of a massive counterattack looming, and it's turned out to be the case.

I can only restate what news agents are saying, and it's looking bleak for the Assad regime. The news feed out of Syria has always been atrocious, mostly consisting of news agents tweeting/retweeting propagandist crap, rather than information about oprerations, etc.

In contrast, Ukrainians from both sides of that conflict deserve every pulitzer in history for their presentation of events - every day had comprehensive updates on what was happening

Hey lol,

Why do you prefer the term Holocaust as opposed to Shoah? Shoah is the preferred term if you wish to refer only to jewish tragedy. Holocaust also has some pretty intense baggage in its meaning. It means a burnt offering, that is, actual human sacrifice to appease some god. Which god are you appeasing here? The obvious answer is that old semitic monster known as Ba'al, Molech, etc., but perhaps you have some further insight. Also, what are the rewards received from this god for making such a massive human sacrifice? What do you expect from him in return?

I don't

It is the correct English term for those events. Utterly ridiculous that you would take offence at using the correct english term - with definitions included - for those events, on a website where the language of communication is English.

You have to really wonder at the intelligence level of someone that thinks objecting to the use to the correct English language term is a good line of argument

It means a burnt offering, that is, actual human sacrifice to appease some god. Which god are you appeasing here?

Since the phrase "The Holocaust" has been in constant popular-use in the English-speaking world since at least the late 1960's, again one has to really wonder at the intelligence level of someone that thinks objecting to the use to the correct English language term on an english language website is a good line of argument

To all you close minded fanatics and holo cultists:

No, the SS did NOT murder 12 million people, including
the mythical 6 million Jews - a number, btw, that has been
documented to have been used many times by the jews before
even the advent of nazism, going back to at least the
late 19th century. There is not a shred of evidence to
back up these figures. BTw, the only millions that count are
the fictitious 6 million jews with the others thrown in for good measure
to please other parties.

NO holocaust revisionist researcher denies the nazis targeted
the jews. You don't even know what revisionists say on the matter.
Ignorants, the lot of u.
They do affirm, however, that the nazis did not have a plan
to exterminate the jews. The cornestone of the holo story are
the death camps, the chemical slaughterhouses.
But there were no homicidal gas chambers.

Therefore, the Total Number of Jews Gassed by the Nazis is: ZERO!

Now, dear fanatics, watch Gilad Atzmon interview one of the greatest holocau$t revisionist historians, professor R.Faurisson;

Gilad Atzmon rencontre Robert Faurisson - 10 juin 2014( Gilad reencounters Faurisson)

Finally after a month some news about Tikrit from the Daily Star. As I expected the Iraqi/Iranian militias have not left the city even though the Government ordered them to do so long ago. Local residents have reported that the militias claim they are still battling with the Islamic State in the city and refuse to allow the civilians to return home. Many other displaced residents fear the presence of the militias and would not return until they leave the city to the local Sunni police forces.

They also report continued looting and burning with more valuable things such as luxury autos being stolen.

Lengthy propaganda piece on all things Middle Eastern ...

Why Things Are Going to Get Much Worse in the Arab World Before They Get Better

Just as 63-year old Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani of Qatar had abdicated in favour of his 35-year old son Tamim bin Hamad, the series of events above seems to be leading towards a potential double abdication over time in favour of Mohamed bin Salman. The intention behind the new war is to establish him as a warrior king in the eyes of the restless Saudi Twittersphere, and to cow the plotters.

It is not true that the US planned the Yemen War. When Salman and Mohamed decided on the war, the US – in perpetual reactive mode in the Arab world since the catastrophic failure of the Iraq War – had no choice but to support them and, in view of their negotiations with Iran, to try to keep them sweet.

The Sunni-Shia conflict is a smokescreen originally started by the media in Abu Dhabi with the billions it has to promote a story with journalists in the mainstream media, a story which, among others, the old Saudi régime swallowed hook line and sinker. ... secretary to the court and co-conspirator Khalid al-Tuwaijri, received the go-ahead for payments of vast amounts of money to Israel to lobby against the Iran deal. As if the Israelis needed to be paid for that. If was obviously convenient for the conspirators that such payments had to be keep secret, so they could go through shady bank accounts.

The alliance between Abu Dhabi and Israeli interests gave the stories about the Shia take-over additional legs, since they are passed on to mainstream media from the ever “trusted sources” in Tel Aviv.

... lots more on Yemen, Iran and Egypt too ... with even a ' Postcript: Why Merkel is behind the Ukraine crisis. '

Apparently written to order for counterpunch.

At Counterpunch, too, Marjorie Cohn tells the tale of Freddie Gray's 'rough ride' to the end of the line in Baltimore ... incredible.

She adds background from TV and the academy ...

The Chickens Come Home to Roost in Baltimore

David Simon, creator of The Wire, said in an interview with Bill Keller. ...

“[T]he drug war was as much a function of class and social control as it was of racism ... The drug war gives everybody permission to do anything. It gives cops permission to stop anybody, to go in anyone’s pockets, to manufacture any lie when they get to district court.”

Scholar Richard Rothstein, a research associate at the Economic Policy Institute, documented more than 100 years of

“federal, state, and local policies to quarantine Baltimore’s black population in isolated slums.”

“Baltimore, not at all uniquely, has experienced a century of public policy designed, consciously so, to segregate and impoverish its black population.”

I lived in East Baltimore for a couple of years. West Baltimore is what the Supreme Court has absent-mindedly defined as a 'a high-crime area', where walking while black

... may constitute reasonable suspicion for an officer to briefly detain an individual and determine whether there is evidence of criminal activity.

And that's exactly what happened to Freddie Gray ...

Baltimore state’s attorney Marilyn Mosby declared ...

“[The officers] failed to establish probable cause for Mr. Gray’s arrest as no crime had been committed by Mr. Gray . . . Accordingly, [he was] illegally arrested,”

... as she announced the filing of criminal charges against the six officers implicated in Freddie Gray’s death.

Stuck in Yemen: A Personal History

From the start of the crisis, the U.S. State Department has been heavily criticized for not evacuating Americans from Yemen, even as India, Russia and other countries arranged flights and ships for their own citizens.

The Russian government got their people out weeks ago ... and took - was it 18 - Americans when they did so.

Shows the difference in priority and focus between the two governments :

The Russian government puts the Russian people first.

The American government puts the American people somewhere after the Israelis and the Saudis ... same spot, actually, that it puts the Yemeni people.
