Are you saying I, Demian, or both of us are in error regarding modern French usage? And I am curious about how and whether Canada is “Americanized” elsewhere in the world–is Canada referred to as Amérique due to its also being on these continents (as with all of Latin America) or because it is, like the US, also mostly Anglophone? For that matter practically all my experience has been of Latin America–how do Canadians feel about the “America = US” identification?
I’ve heard many times of US citizens who affect Canadian “camouflage” while traveling abroad–not directly relating to this discussion of spoken usage, but speaking reams on the perception of difference.
And none of this even touches what Native Americans I know have expressed on the matter…

I find this repellant. This sort of Culturism is sick and repulsive. The author is marching along with far-right Xtians … our god is stronger than theirs … who support the ‘clash of civilizations’ … with its roots in Harvard.
He should, as well, stop speaking for ‘Russia’ and the ‘Russians’ … he is, after all, playing a self-admitted child’s game, defending something he himself admits he does not believe.
And stop as well subjecting all the rest of us to his pontifications. Our would that be patriarchifications, as he is the unbelieving champion of the Eastern branch of Xtianity.

Once at Sloviansk, theater of the last summer’s ferocious fighting between regular Ukrainian troops and the pro-Russian separatists, stood a hospital at the cutting edge; a proper and real provider of health services, now completely destroyed. These images, still to this day never shown in the Italian media, show better than others the grave situation that has befallen on Ukrainian society.
