Russian conductor barred from German music festival

The internationally renowned conductor Valery Gergiev has been barred from participating in the Saarland Music Festival in 2015, because he is Russian …

I guess Russians and their music have attained the ‘degenerate’ status that Jews and their music formerly ‘enjoyed’ in the Fatherland?
It’s time for the German people to wake up and throw these bastards out of office.
I realize that as an American this is personally a case of a pot calling a kettle black, but two wrongs only make a right in Israel. We are all responsible for our own excesses no matter what others do or don’t do.

the level of orchestrated hysteria in the suburbs around ferguson is beyond palpable, pending the announcement of the jury decision in the murder of mike brown – a constant ratcheting of tension, starting w/ media stories about booming gun & ammo sales (mainly in melanin-deprived markets) and outside agitators spuring on black folk, the govenor’s declaration of a state of emergency days before the verdict is made public, and a plethora of security plans & contingencies communicated between institutional bodies (corporations, schools, hospitals, etc) advising employees, staff & parents, patrons, etc to be cautious in the days ahead & prepared for anything. the real threat is that good sense & justice are being trumped by fear.

Combatant Prokhorov comments on the present situation on fronts of Novirossia
Delighted that information about Peski confirmed (Donetsk Republic’s army rid of Ukrainian occupant troops a great portion of village Peski). But on other directions the war was and is going on.
Since night, the combatants worked at Ukrainian outpost 31 (place Bakhmutka), the work has been going on until now, and at Verkneye Ol`khovoye. Closer to noon, Ukrainians shelled positions at Pervomaysk – return went to Popasnaya. Ukrainians retaliated at Pervomaysk and Stakhanovo (even by rocket salvos as far as from Novoaydar).
Ukrainians shelled Kirovsk by “Grads” (Pervomaysk’s south). From Kirovs returned at Zolotoye and Bakhmutka. Ukrainans rebuffed by artillery from Lisichansk.
Artillery skirmishes in area of Avdeevka have just started. Artillery skirmishes near Debal`tsevo have been carried on for awhile.
During the day, Ukrainians shelled residential quartes of Dokuchayevsk – return went at Ukrainian positions near settlement Stepnoye.
Dzerzhinsk-Gorlovka conducted mutual shelling hitting residences in either city. But one Ukrainian outpost in Dzerzhinsk (at highway Gorlovka-Donetsk) was indeed smashed. Ukrainians backed off having dumped wounded – those were transported to a hospital in Gorlovka…

@102 anon – interesting experiment by someone with the last name “Horowitz”.. hard to know what to make of it, but comparing ISIS and israel makes a certain amount of sense at a university campus as you will get the exact opposite response from the halls of congress, LOLOLOL! go horowitz, lol..

Cecilie Surasky has a heartening story from UCLA : Hillel International hires Armenian Genocide denier Noam Neusner to fight Open Hillel movement, BDS

Tuesday night’s epic UCLA debate over divesting from companies that profit from the Israeli occupation was notable for what it included—a coalition of over 30 diverse campus groups in support of divestment, and for what it lacked—a robust, organized opposition. (The divestment vote won in a landslide.)

The guy who wrote up the included link is named Adam Horowitz.
@103
This hype is certainly orchestrated and way overblown. I think the Grand Jury is hung … there are three Black Americans on it … and that all this ratcheting of tension is about pressuring them to cave and let the killer walk.
Don’t cave! Send him to trial. Voluntary manslaughter … which is the charge most likely to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. You’d think this were about sending him to the electric chair, fer chrissakes.
Certainly everyone deserves a trial … especially the people of Ferguson MO.

From the Ukrainian left site, “Liva.com” courtesy of New Cold War. Yuri Roman on Ukraine’s civil war: why so many lies?
“Why did the authorities respond with war and murders?… Either our authorities are just a bunch of incompetent and stupid madmen who seized power via blood and will think nothing before shedding more blood. Or, the Ukrainian ‘political elite’ is a mere decoration, completely controlled by foreign masters. There is no third option.”

“Persecution of Crimean Tatars and pro-Ukrainian activists, harassment of pro-Ukraine and Crimean Tatar media and imposition of Russian citizenship in Crimea” are now routine practice in Crimea under Russian rule.

Girkin admits it was his group of 52 operatives who started the war in Donbass and if not that, all the pro-Russian riots would calm down like they did in Odessa or Kharkov. Main reason to start the war, as he explained, was that “Crimea with Novorossiya would be the jewel in the crown of Russian Empire”.

are those nazi ukee sites you are linking to ulster? probably, lol..

Posted by: james | Nov 22 2014 17:39 utc | 112

@112 Nope, the Girkin interview was published in Russian nationalist newspaper so it should be treated as 100% reliable here; second is by HRW, which wasn’t really respected here until they reported about Ukrainian army using forbidden weapons.
