Moon of Alabama Brecht quote
February 11, 2013

Un-habemus Papam

The catholic pope announced his resignation:
Pope Benedict XVI on Monday announced he will resign on February 28, a Vatican spokesman told AFP, which will make him the first pope to do so in centuries.
The last pope to resign voluntarily was Pope Celestine V in 1294.He did not want to be pope in the first place. Celestine V gave his reasons as:
the desire for humility, for a purer life, for a stainless conscience, the deficiencies of his own physical strength, his ignorance, the perverseness of the people, his longing for the tranquility of his former life.

Benedict XVI said:

After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry.
A new pope is usually elected when the old one is dead and often not to his (assumed) liking. His resignation will allow Benedict to influence the election of his successor. That may be the real reason behind this surprizing step.

The Supreme Guidance Council of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood convened immediately and is thought to suggest the upcoming head of Al-Azhar, Abdul Rahman al-Bar, as its papal candidate. Vatican aids thought it unlikely that al-Bar would gather enough support in the Vatican to make it into the final selection.

The election of a pope is always a highly political process. Various states will try to push their favorite candidates and agendas. The ideal candidate though will not be considered. That would be a tall black African woman, married and with children.

Again and again the same games ...

It's not about the voice (although I don't know Himmlers voice). It's about faking. Having enough recorded material, which is not a problem with a "well known politician", one can create amazing audio "proof".

Having enough material one could for instance create audio "proof" of wiesenthal lauding Hitler and calling for the extermination of the jews, the americans, the germans or even mothers who bake cookies.

Don't you get it? Unnerving and molesting rational grown up people with attack after attack and doubtful "proof" after doubtful "proof" doesn't replace solid proof?

Just a test

I scanned through much of the comments and unless I missed it...
forget the pedophile scandals
And look at the Vatican bank....
A den of vipers with a long sordid history

He is the next Pope as determined by the Jesuits and Zionism

The Jerusalem Post, 1 April 2005, claimed that Schoenborn "delivered a strong message in favour of Jewish settlement in the Holy Land ... rejecting the claim that European Christians' support for the State of Israel is based on Holocaust guilt and saying that all Christians should affirm Zionism as a biblical imperative for the Jewish people."

Cardinal Schoenborn, Archbishop of Vienna. he is hated by most Austrian btw.

Archbishop of Vienna Cardinal Schoenborn was speaking at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on the topic of "God's chosen land."

Schoenborn said: "Only once in human history did God take a country as an inheritance and give it to His chosen people," Christians, Schoenborn said, should rejoice in the return of Jews to the Holy Land as the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

So, if asked for proof you first try it with a shaky non-proof plus a personal attack and if that doesn't work you concentrate on personal attack exclusively and try to put the other party in the "insane conspiracy" corner?

But then, to be fair, if standing on the side of people telling weird stories about surviving the gas chamber 5 or 6 times being covered by their mothers body, there isn't that many tactical options other than at any price avoiding any closer look at reality ...

Show me solid proof - or shut up holocaustiban!

Reducing a thread to an unrelated argument over the Holocaust is old hat hasbara misdirection tactics.

Thanks for the Vatican bank info. I agree, that probably has a connection more than the paedo stuff.

I suspect there is a major power play happening behind the scenes among the most powerful banksters. The rape-frame of Dominique Strauss-Kahn and other seemingly odd occurrences have been happening the last year. The Pope and the Vatican bank scandal may be involved in same. I'm sure organised crime in the form of the Jewish or Israeli mafia is deeply involved.

@ Mr. Pragma [#43],

Q: Simply because they are strongly limited by law in their views on the topic ...

R: The truth doesn't need any laws. Never has and never will. As you have noticed, some individuals that visit MoA don't hang out here to really contribute anything, instead they carefully try to steer debates away from anything that might be related to Israel. It doesn't hatter whether it is about WWII or Palestine/Israel. Their MO remains the same: attack messengers and always avoid addressing the core of a problem. During my journey to find answers as to what happened to one side of my family I only ended up with more questions. From an intellectual pov, I honestly can't phantom why my thoughts are 'illegal' [or 'holocaust denial light - end drum roll>.

@ somebody

Q: prove to me you have got a brain first .-))

R: When I wrote 'A Perfect Murder' [you can find/read it if you visit Francis Ford Coppola's site] I had to do some research about cremation and ovens [lets spoil the story and spill the beans: murder someone and get rid of the body during the night in a crematorium]. As it turns out, in today's crematoriums, they don't use fire, but heat, about 1100 C. worth of it. It takes about 23 minutes to 'burn' a normal person and about 30 minutes or more to do so with an obese/fat person. Being the intellectual that you are, you can guess where this little piece of modern information landed me next. So, show me the infinite capacity of your 'brain' today, please.

P.S. My handle there is Daniel Dives [dives = Latin for affluent]

Re somebody

No problem. I accepted his unconditional capitulation but they way he chose to put it did not deserve an answer.

Re Vatican/child abuse/bank

The only 2 reasons I can see as alternative options to a simple pragmatic "I'm too old and fragile" are those:

- Some weird spiritual "reasoning" along the secret of Fatima weirdness or similar.
- The Vatikan Bank - but then not to give up but to hunt them down from another - still powerful - position. I'm not arrogant enough to consider myself a Ratzinger Expert but I had enough interaction with the catholic church in my youth (and through my family) and I feel to know Ratzinger pretty well. This man doesn't give up against an adversary but only to biological "force".
This is not to say that he will hunt down the bankers but rather that *if* the Vatican Bank had any role in his stepping down than his very sharp and strategic mind telling him that as pope he couldn't go for them (if simply because there is so much you can put on your shoulders with 85 or, more probably, because this isn't a job for a rude cop but rather for a discrete agent).

"I suspect there is a major power play happening behind the scenes among the most powerful banksters. The rape-frame of Dominique Strauss-Kahn and other seemingly odd occurrences have been happening the last year. The Pope and the Vatican bank scandal may be involved in same."

I wrote extensively on the Strauss Kahn incident or as you very accurately call it- The framing of Strauss Kahn.
The guy is a scum anyway, but, that was clearly a take down

There is much ongoing in the world
Forms of currency wars, for one
And of course the big banks are the single biggest drug money launderers on the planet

I do think the Papal take down has more to do with banks then the Popes age or health
Most Popes die on the job. Some get poisoned
Either way the job ends when they die

Here is an older piece
suggesting some type of banker vs banker

http://pennyforyourthoughts2.blogspot.ca/2011/05/banker-vs-banker-dominique-strauss-kahn.html

drug money laundering via the banks
http://pennyforyourthoughts2.blogspot.ca/2009/12/drug-money-kept-banks-liquid-during.html

and specifically US banks and the mexican cartels:
http://pennyforyourthoughts2.blogspot.ca/2010/07/us-bank-roles-in-mexican-drug-trade.html

Which sheds light on the fast and furious gun running
The US gov had to help the drug cartels to enrich their buds in the banking industry

"one hand washes the other and together they wash the back"

random old European saying demonstrating working together or collusion, whichever?

RE" comment at 109

"Reducing a thread to an unrelated argument over the Holocaust is old hat hasbara misdirection tactics."

Yup.

I would favor two dwarf popes. One sits on the other's shoulders, beneath a long robe.

We don't need to know what goes on under the robe.

Penny - 115

The 2008 meltdown was engineered. Bandits squabbling over loot, or gangsters warring over territory to exploit. These sort of things are designed to weaken some so others can then take them over. Basically territory grabs in the international corporate world. The banksters and related oligarchs are gobbling each other up and the power is becoming more centralised and despotic. With each financial "crisis", there ends up fewer numbers of these oligarchs running at the top of the parasite chain.

The drug business, like the organ trafficking business and all the other contraband activities the Jewish/Israeli mafia dominates are all closely tied to the banking oligarchy. The banking oligarchy is the top of the mafia. The American support for the Mexican drup mafia is tied to this, and also to other uses made of these gangsters, such as death squads used to repress indigenous rebellion. A lot of the murders attributed to drug lord competition in Mexico is actually Israel-America repressing the Mexican people to keep them from gathering together to make a cohesive political force opposed to the status quo of the Mexican puppet government/establishment. This is a continuation of the Israeli-American policies in Latin America of using terror and death squads to keep people too frightened to oppose their corrupt puppet governments, and goes back to the 19th century - much like the bankster/contraband business connections do.

News

The catholic church has hired a new boss for the Vatican bank. Ernst von Freyberg seems to have a somewhat colourful vita and, while not being a banker per se, quite some experience with finances.

Von Freyberg has been OK'd and confirmed by the pope shortly before accouncing his intention to leave the the holy see.

Sorry for the somewhat thin information but this seems to be quite fresh. For the moment I could only add that Ernst von Freyberg is a knight of the order of Malta and seems to be a figure widely unknown in the german public.
