An old relative of mine, not near but somewhat dear to me, died yesterday. I am therefore traveling and will be off the net for some wider family time. Posting, if any, will be light.

NYT propaganda machine making up excuses in case people start wondering why it takes two days to take a 1M+ city and base of government and a month (and counting) to take a middle sized city surrounded by at least three sides and a relatively small desert town defended by ‘remnants’ ‘diehard’ Gaddafi supporters?

“…Iran is supporting rebels in Yemen.”
Is there any evidence of anything except moral support?

@Nikon – reports citing ‘Israeli Intel’ cannot seriously be taken as ‘evidence’ of anything –

why the new control? to much spam?

Posted by: an idiot | Sep 25 2011 19:28 utc | 29

@an idiot – I do not believe in that e-coli manipulation. The articles suggest that bacteria resistance to multiple antibiotics is unprecedented. It is definitely not. It indeed happens more and more as more antibiotics gets used especially during meat production.
And yes, the spam controls are up – I can not influence them.

What UN resolution is AJE talking about? I don’t remember the SC deciding the UN or NATO should fight a war against Gaddafi.
link

There is always incoming missile and artillery fire. We are returning fire with heavy weapons but we are not sending in infantry. We are waiting for reinforcements to come from Tripoli and Zawiyah,” said Khaimej.
“NATO is here but is not doing enough. They take out the rocket launchers firing at us, but they are immediately replaced. We need more help from NATO,” he added.
The Western military alliance has under a UN mandate being giving air support to a popular revolt against Gaddafi launched in February which saw the veteran strongman toppled from power after 42 years by NTC forces last month.

And on a similar line other infamous ‘news’ from this week: the ‘camel’ mass graves, the disappearing (AJE changes from no news to it will be conquered by yesterday every two-three days) real massacre on Sirte, the ‘un-armed’ Syrian ‘revolt’ that now it seems was ‘armed’ from day one being rebranded as a armed revolt because it worked so well on Lybia (based on the new Nir Rosen reports which are usually to be trusted even though put through the AJE spin machine).
