Swoop On Clinton

This week's Swoop analysis includes this quite sardonic sentence:

Secretary of State Clinton is well respected, if not for her strategic vision but for her diligent commitment to her office.

Ooch. This is job reference language code which translates into "has no strategic vision" and "is a phlecmatic worker bee". But that's fitting well.

I occasionally feel a bit sorry for Shrillary. It seems that whenever there's nothing to say, she gets the job of saying it.

Hillary the Horrible is doing her best to make the Incredibly Incompetent Condi look good by comparison.

If I recall, not even Condi hectored Iran about democracy from the bully pulpit of a Gulf autocracy.

"if not...but" ???

Seriously?

They need to learn to write over there!

You gotta either elide the "if" or change the "but" to a "then" -- this is just embarrassing.

"Secretary of State Clinton is well respected, not for her strategic vision but for her diligent commitment to her office." (Meaning: She has no real vision, at least not one that commands any respect.)

"Secretary of State Clinton is well respected, if not for her strategic vision then for her diligent commitment to her office." (Meaning: While her vision may command only some respect, her commitment is unimpeachable.)

"Secretary of State Clinton is well respected, if not for her strategic vision but for her diligent commitment to her office." (Meaning: The author is sloppy or stupid -- the editor, absent.)

Creative ambiguity. Rule is any good said of a Clinton must be larded with qualifiers.

Could be code for a heterodox "deviant" strategic vision. No? IOW the bitch is a closet schismatic.

Here, if her name is mentioned she is remembered immediately with derision for her 2010, iirc, speech, in Sarajevo.

She managed to say - I paraphrase - that there would come a day, a great day, in the future, when Serbs, Croats and Muslims could sit down next to one another.

The audience sat perfectly still.

She forgot to take into account her public, where as she must have known, most of the ppl were sitting next to someone from ‘another community.’

The woman is obsessed with Yugoslavia, the stellar legacy of the Clinton era.

She is apparently still attached to promoting ethnic strife and killing off the Srpska Republic (Serb.)

The Gvmt of Bosnia-Herzegovina or “Bosnia” has been condemned by the Court in Strasbourg for being defined, regulated, according to ethnic criteria, as per, following on from, the Dayton Accords.

So, after the US participated in formenting the strife, and enforcing an ‘ethnically balanced’ Gvmt, she jaws on about building bridges, democracy, investment (and what not..), encouraging unity, etc. which is in fact hampered by the present arrangements....

best pointed headline on Clinton and Libya

http://www.eurasiareview.com/mussolini-wins-in-istanbul-conference-right-to-colonize-libya-reasserted-oped-18072011/
When the façade crumbled Friday, the face of Benito Mussolini was visible to the world.

It eerily resembled Hillary Clinton.
