Deranged Ynetnews Headline

Ynetnews is an English language Israel news and content website operated by Yedioth Ahronoth, Israel’s most-read newspaper. Like other Israeli media it loves bashing Germany. But this is even more deranged than the usual stuff.

See the first headline on this screenshot taken of Ynetnews half an hour ago.

It leads to a piece that quotes 'outraged' anonymous Israeli officials. The first comment to it says "and this is how it starts!! 1938 anyone?"

Are Israelis banned from a terminal in Munich? Of course not.

The simple facts behind this 'report': New introduced Lufthansa flights between Munich and Tel Aviv will board at the same gate where all other flights Munich-Tel Aviv also board. This because Israel demands special security arrangements and gate equipment for all flights to it.

How one can construe the above headline form that is beyond me.

What is the purpose of such 'reporting'?

Comments

This is not “reporting”, it is “flogging wares”: this sort of thing attracts readers.
There was a time when quality journalism was the thing attracted readers, poor journalism drove them off.
That was a long, long time ago.

The purpose is no different from that of terrorism, an industry developed by Israel.

The purpose of such reporting should be obvious. It reinforces the idea of Jews as eternal victims and one step away from the gas chambers. It says that everyone hates Jews and we are all alone.
It keeps us in terror that the cattle cars are being readied to send us off to the gas chambers. It provides the justification for genocide against the “Arabs”. It is either us or them.
It increases the popularity of ynet.
You didn’t make it clear in your article, b, that ynet did not explain why the “ban” occurred in their article at all. You had to go to comment 13 for that information.
The failure to say why the “ban” occurred places ynet clearly into the propaganda section of “news” – though what else is new in the world than newspapers giving up reporting for propaganda?

Exceptionally chosen people demand exceptional journalism about exceptional treatment by others. Learned from the long tradition in the American and British press. Remember the Maine and Jenkins’ Ear!

Welcome to the crowd, b. We Iranians have been subjected to this infuriating and dangerous B.S. for 30 years, not just from Israel but from the U.S.A..
Why should Germany be any different? In fact I, who usually fiercely support Germany in almost everything, cannot withhold a (small) expression of Schadenfreude at your nation´s victimization despite all your spineless government´s efforts to alienate Iran (This applies to Merkel, not Schroeder who, with Chirac, provided a united front against Bush/Cheney).
So that´s how the Israelis repay Merkel for her troubles! A pity, though, that ordinary Germans have to tolerate such shameless Israeli insults.

I think Germany has again become a good country to live in for Eastern European Jews, so it is in competition for immigration …
Germany actually is competing for and in need of qualified young people ..

How about this for a wildly Deranged FT Headline:
§ Bernanke sees signs of recovery
§ Obama points to economic progress
§ Goldman amasses $164bn in liquid assets
Yupp, the world is ‘as it should be’ on Wall Strasse.

An Israeli is robbed in a rough trade encounter at 4:00am in Egypt, is given several paragraphs on SFGate 4/13. More coverage than a body found in Oakland or SF. Figure it out yourself.
