Ynetnews Hacked

Just tried to reach Ynetnews.com, the website of the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth.

As of now, it is hacked. It says in not-so-perfect English:

The Bitter Truth History repeats itself all the victims were said to words such as “terrorists” and the only reason for those words and that the overwhelming offender and murderer was a stronger force, but will not last, and the criminals will be rotting in hell and can not escape the
punishment of God

Screen-shots: 1, 2, 3, 4.

Information warfare has two sides. Good.

Wonderful. There is something that can be done. Let’s hope this catches on big time.

Yeah Fred, encourage unethical hacking in the hopes that it catches on, so leaders rulers everywhere have more petrol to throw on the regulate the intertoobs contingent with their same ol’ tired, Hegelian dialectic.
Brilliant.

Report on the hack by ynetnews. Classic domain server attack … nothing sophisticated …

That comment makes you sound like a victim that has been imprinted by the ruling class to not only self-censor, but to make sure everyone else does to, for fear of loss of rights.
I think I understand the gist of your comment, that any hacking is wrong, but compared to bombing, maiming and killing, hacking seems insignificant. Besides the ruling class needs the internet as much as we do, they may try and control it, but everywhere there are hoards of hormonally-charged teenagers working on the problem…I have hope.

The intention might be fine but hacking isn’t.

@2,
I appreciate your sentiment Uncle, but it strikes me as similar to the democrats complaining about republican not playing fair (sorry for the comparison). If there is one thing we’ve seen in the last ten years, it’s that there are no rules or laws when it comes to the neocons. Fairness is for suckers and any and all websites can be eliminated by a keystroke by ISPs or NSA or other agents. Israel’s supporters have done far more hacking and internet disruption.

Interesting discussion.
I see merits on both sides. I’ll have to think about this a bit. Generally when I am stuck like this, I try to find ways to re-frame, or re-contextualize, the problem, or enlarge the scope of my thinking. Finally, I start with my vision of an ideal world and work backwards from there and see where I get to.

invasion of gaza started, and so it begins – never again – over and over again.
its just the colors that change, or as we say in german:
” Das gleiche in gruen”
And personally i hope, that who ever hacked into the YNETNEWS site, will do the same to other “News Outlets”,
there is a war, have a look at the pretty pictures, see what is happening in the ‘holy land’.
Good grief, the world has learned nothing.

AFP- The Hamas television station said Israeli troops had Mbeen killed, but there was no immediate confirmation of this. Israel jammed Hamas the broadcasts, instead posting a caption reading: “Hamas leadership, your time is over.”
So much for hacking principles.
