Why can’t The Independent hire headline writers with reading skills or some basic geographic knowledge?

Really it’s sickening what western journalism looks like nowadays.
Here in Australia one channel called more then 300 000 protesters in Belgrade
“Serbian nationalists”… They simply do not have a clue of what they are talking about in case of Serbia and Kosovo. They are just repeating what they are told to repeat.
Really I wonder where consciousness of western people has gone and how you can simply look Serbia being raped like this. And I do not talk about Americans. They still celebrate their involvement in Vietnam War and believe they brought democracy to Iraq that had WMD. So what one can expect from them. But Europeans to simply kiss USA’s ass as they once kissed Hitler’s…very sad time…

I agree – sad – and there isn’t even any European interest I can see there, except sucumbing to “pressure” from Washington.
Aw, gee, they only got the one word wrong — “over” instead of “in” — “Rioters attack Brit Embassy over Kosovo” — but that would have made the healine longer and they would have had to use a smaller type setting…
As far as kissing ass though, the danish press is doing quite well, thank you, by strongly suggesting that Serb officials were “involved” — which maybe they were, but the background for Serb anger is not given.
