Zionofascism Awareness Week

Will these Universities be concerned about ‘balance’ and allow a Zionofascism Awareness Week on their campuses just as they allow a Islamofascism Awareness Week?

Politically the first issue seems more relevant to me.

To stay aware I started to list The Daily Palestinian – simple self explaining news mostly picked from the Jewish defamer site Haaretz. It is linked on the left side of the MoA homepage under ‘Specials’.

Also – I’m looking for an ‘anti-apartheid’ and ‘boycott Israel’ sticker for my car. Does anyone know of a good design I could buy or copy to make one myself?

Well my small school is listed on Whore-o-Wizz’s site as a school targeted for special Islamo-Fascist Week Brown Shirt Right Wing activism, but so far all is quiet. Our two or three Muslim students are unmolested and those who listed our school on Whore-o-Wizz’s master list are being very quiet. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the plans the Campus Republicans had for taking over our Student Senate and all Students Clubs was outed a few weeks ago and they are now pretending to have shame. We’ll see. There are still three days left for them to get together to burn religious books and organize a lynching or two. I don’t put it past them! Neocons have the morals of snakes with none of the appeal.

Sorry for the typos…and hey, just for fun, please note that the picture of the woman being shot on Whore-o-Wizz’s Hate Muslims Web Page is a fake, shamelessly lifted from a 1994 Dutch movie!

Two very interesting blog entries that relate to this:
Jewish Glasnost Update: Zionist Panic! (This is vis a vis the CAMERA event targeting Haaretz)
“It’s Hopeless!” Report by Philip Weiss on the CAMERA event and what it all signifies.

PS Thanks be for The Daily Palestinian — I noticed it a while back and have been watching it. If you are interested in sources beyond Haaretz, let me know.

David Horowitz seems to be being A NAUGHTY BOY and boasting of Anti-Islamofascism Events on a whole lot of campuses where Anti-Islamofascism Events aren’t taking place.

horowitz & his clique are really clowns. they are 3rd or 4th generation of the ‘god that failed’ them. when i have the unhappy chance to see his like – & there are french versions of that clique – roman goupil, andré glucksman et al – they are forever hysteric – forever beating their chests about a humanity they have not one thought for – now or in the past where they claim they were great leftists – no, they were shallow then & they are shallow now.
they shit ink over those who shed their blood – & like wolfowitz & his cronies they delight in bringing up the apocalyptic binaries that have served them well
they never spoke for the oppressed & they do not speak for the majority of jews today – even in israel

Had to laugh at Charlie Rose trying to interview CIA Chief and Salvation Army General Michael V. Hayden, a career wack-job racist fundie X-C like so many of them at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado, 21st Space Wing, Air Force Space Command, United States Space Command, and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), aka Apartheid Fruit-loop Central.
Google “AF Strategic Master Plan 2020”. Here, I’ll save you the effort: fas.org/spp/guide/usa/StrategicMasterPlan04.pdf
It’s like trying to interview a chrome billiard ball, or negotiate with the Borg. Their Neo-Zi logic is so tightly and self-servingly circular (“this is Endless Global War Against Terrorism(TM), therefore no limit on methods and costs, and while I can’t tell you anything that we are actually doing on behalf of the American people, or I’d have to kill you, if the American people did know, they would certainly support endless global war, therefore no limit on methods and costs…” )
Lather, rinse in cold water and repeat until square>circular.
Charlie needs to learn some asymmetrical theatre warfare.
So if it’s Endless Global War Against Terrorism(TM), and putting nooses on black people’s doors is clearly terrorism, why isn’t the CIA on the way to Columbia? Blowing up clinics and assassinating medical practitioners is clearly terrorism, why isn’t the CIA using extreme rendition on the Right-to-Life (sic) fundies? Supplying drugs, guns and pornography to our children is outrageous and egregious terrorism, why isn’t the CIA out shooting down drug lords in the street like their goombah buddies in Mossad shoot down Palestinian children? And most of all, if the outright theft and piracy of our taxes and savings investments isn’t the greatest form of terrorism any senior adult can imagine, why isn’t the CIA rounding up the mortgage lenders, bankers and brokers for water boarding??!!
On that whole subject, circularly following the money as we were taught as Watergate children, see embedded images below.

Credit-con losses look to top out $20B. Figure margin hedges and repackaging multipliers of say 6:1, commonly quoted for
margin leverage “value-added” of brokers, that’s $120B, about the amount quoted for the so-called “Super Fund” that the
US brokers, banks and bond traders are setting up to bury their credit-con rad-waste.
$120B. Hold that thought.
Bush’s request for the next fiscal year Iraq “War” is $195B, and will likely go higher before next June on some emergency pretext. From the chart, that’s $120B HIGHER than the average war budget expenditure at any time during this illegal occupation, even during the hot-phase height of the Iraq invasion.
http://i23.tinypic.com/6qitkl.gif
Today the invasion is just a peace-keeping holding operation, cut back by 2/3rd’s, leaving Basra to the south and Kirkuk to the north with no US troops. Mission Accomplished they’re telling US once again. Just don’t pull our troops out yet.
So what burning Al Queda insurgency requires A DOUBLING TO $195B???!! Wanna bet it’s the credit con bailout insurgency?!
Cheney’s office can “legally” divert war tax monies to the credit-con Super Fund as “other national security purposes” as a black ops, within his funding discretion, and with no accounting, no audit, and no Congressional oversight.
Read Bush’s request language again. “$195B for the war in Iraq, Afghanistan **AND OTHER NATIONAL SECURITY PURPOSES**!”
Don’t believe it? WHY IS CONGRESS GOING ALONG WITH 200% WAR COST-GROWTH, AS THE INSURGENCY CLEARLY DIES DOWN? A BAILOUT!
EITHER THAT, OR SETASIDE FOR INVASION OF IRAN. EITHER WAY, A NUCLEAR WINTER 4 US, AND GILDED I-PHONES FOR SUPREME SOVIET.
WHERE IS OUR SURGE DIVIDEND??!! WHERE IS OUR WAR AUDIT??!!

I always thought that counterspace was what I always run out of when cooking for more than myself. How wrong could I have been? Counterspace is the second phase of “The Plan” outlined in 3.2 of the PDF document Bruce linked to.
It is sort of O/T but not really since it indicates in an unintentionally light-hearted way exactly how meglomaniacal the rabid supporters of the zionist state among the empire’s functionaries have become.
There are little ‘message boxes’ scattered throughout this USAF document, where important points are reiterated.
My favourite is the box that says “We cannot fully exploit space until we control it.”
Nothing half assed about these blokes. They reckon on controlling the infinite universe from Suite 1105 150 Vandenberg Street, Peterson Colorado.
I had to check to make sure that the entire PDF, published on the Federation of Amerikan Scientists website, wasn’t a put on. I was convinced it must be a spoof when I read that the General in charge was named Lance W. Lord. Sadly it isn’t a spoof. General Lord has an entry on the airforce site.
Peter Sellars hisself couldn’t have made this stuff up. Dr Strangelove has nothing on General Lance Lord.

The ACLU also found that an Army investigator reported Rumsfeld was “personally involved” in overseeing the interrogation of a Guantanamo prisoner Mohammed al Qahtani. The prisoner was forced to parade naked in front of female interrogators wearing women’s underwear on his head and was led around on a leash while being forced to perform dog tricks.

Giuliani’s foreign policy advisor Implies Iran should be bombed because it carried out 9/11

Arch-Neo Con Norman Podhoretz’s book reading at a recent Barnes and Noble appearance in New York turned into a hostile affair after he told the audience that Iran should be bombed because “We were attacked by Islamofascists on 9/11,” before being bombarded with accusatory questions and eventually telling the crowd to “shut up”.
Rudy Giuliani’s foreign policy advisor was subject to walkouts by individuals disgusted at the fact that Podhoretz openly called for air strikes on Iran, labeling Podhoretz a “fascist” who would have blood on his hands.

Judge declares mistrial for most defendants in Muslim charity trial in US

Jurors heard two months of testimony, mostly from FBI and Israeli agents who described thousands of pages of documents and hours of videotapes seized from Holy Land, from former associates of the group, and from Palestinian charities that got money from Holy Land.
Prosecutors said Hamas controlled those Palestinian charities. Their contention hung largely on the word of one witness, a lawyer for the Israeli domestic security agency Shin Bet, who was allowed to testify under a pseudonym.

juror:The case “was strung together with macaroni noodles. There was so little evidence.”
The government “failed in Chicago, it failed in Florida, it failed in Texas,” said Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations — one of those unindicted co-conspirators. “The reason it failed is the government does not have the facts; it has fear.

Speaking of ZIONOFASCISM…. two articles from today’s Jerusalem Post:
Meridor: We must be ready to preempt threats

Israeli Ambassador to the US Sallai Meridor declared Monday that Israel should always be prepared “to preempt, to deter and to defeat if we can” when speaking about the threats facing the country.

IDF colonel: Hamas creating humanitarian crisis

Hamas is unnecessarily endangering Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip by generating phony humanitarian crises, head of the Gaza Coordination Liaison Administration (CLA) Col. Nir Press said Monday.
[snip]
“These are examples of how Hamas wants to create humanitarian crisis,” he explained. “They wait until the last moment and then tell us they are running out of supplies so they can create this image of a crisis.”

newsweek
The American discussion about Iran has lost all connection to reality. Norman Podhoretz, the neoconservative ideologist whom Bush has consulted on this topic, has written that Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is “like Hitler … a revolutionary whose objective is to overturn the going international system and to replace it in the fullness of time with a new order dominated by Iran and ruled by the religio-political culture of Islamofascism.” For this staggering proposition Podhoretz provides not a scintilla of evidence.
Here is the reality. Iran has an economy the size of Finland’s and an annual defense budget of around $4.8 billion. It has not invaded a country since the late 18th century. The United States has a GDP that is 68 times larger and defense expenditures that are 110 times greater. Israel and every Arab country (except Syria and Iraq) are quietly or actively allied against Iran. And yet we are to believe that Tehran is about to overturn the international system and replace it with an Islamo-fascist order? What planet are we on?

Posted by: annie | Oct 24 2007 7:46 utc | 21

“What planet are we on”?
Damn good question, but you don’t want to hear the answer!
I got a mail from a cousin I haven’t heard from for a while. He wrote that he had just seen a program on MSNBC that talked about an unspecified “problem with Muslims”. After a bit of head scratching, I figured it must be some sort of echo champber resonance from this “Islamo-fascism Awareness Week” media storm.
Question, you guys in the states, is this really spilling over to the more mainline MSM outlets like this would indicate?

The Nation: The New McCarthyism

This is the modus operandi of the New McCarthyism. It targets a new enemy for our era: Muslims, Arabs and others in the Middle East field who are identified as stepping over an unstated line in criticizing Israel, as radical Islamists, as just plain radical or as in some way sympathetic to terrorists. Its purveyors include Campus Watch, run by Arab studies scholar Daniel Pipes; the David Project, supported by the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Foundation; and David Horowitz’s FrontPage Magazine (in October Horowitz organized an “Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week” on campuses across the nation).
Their efforts often appear to be linked. As first noted by blogger Richard Silverstein, the earliest web attack on El-Haj’s book was posted simultaneously by Campus Watch and FrontPage, in October 2005. Alexander Joffe, identified as a professor at SUNY, Purchase, published a harshly negative review of the book in The Journal of Near Eastern Studies that same month. The prestigious journal did not note–and was not informed–that he was then director of Campus Watch. Soon after, he became research director for the David Project. Less prominent researchers like Stern, the online PipeLine News and writers such as Beila Rabinowitz and William Mayer provide raw material to the more well-known portals, such as Pipes and Horowitz. Pipes’s and Horowitz’s material is, in turn, picked up by key conservative papers like the New York Post and New York Sun.

In its obscuring, anodyne postmortem on the affair, the New York Times vaguely described Almontaser as a victim of the city’s “treacherous ethnic and ideological political currents” rather than of specific charges that were demonstrably false–like Pipes’s widely publicized claim, based on a truncated quotation, that she denied Muslims or Arabs were involved in the 9/11 attacks. The Times report on El-Haj adopted a similar hands-off stance, simply quoting supporters and attackers. It did not once compare the activists’ charges with what El-Haj actually said in her book.
