Moon of Alabama Brecht quote

Twilight

Twilight
oil on wood

by anna missed
(bigger)

Which reminds me of this (vid)

A pleasant faced man steps up to greet you
He smiles and says he’s pleased to meet you
Beneath his hat the strangeness lies
Take it off, he’s got three eyes
Truth is false and logic lost
Now the fourth dimension is crossed…
You have entered the Twilight Zone
Beyond this world strange things are known
Use the key, unlock the door
See what your fate might have in store…

powerful imagery once again anna missed. i’m particularly disturbed by the regimented orange barriers. they remind me of the orchestration that is so blatant ,superimposed over the randomness of the background. and the open jaws…argh.

Ahhhhh… Rush lyrics!
Take a walk outside myself
In some exotic land.
Greet a passing stranger,
Feel the strength in his hand,
Feel the world expand!

Wow, what happened to all the old MOA’s, where is the support for art of earlier days? Six whole comments?

anna missed,
I have loved all your work please – don’t stop letting us enjoy. I should have commented earlier – actually this work and its title sort of saddens me, it reminded me of the plight of the American Indians. Didn’t know quite how to express my thoughts -been a bit melancholy lately.

One good turn deserves another…
Art for art:
The Cut-Up Method of Brion Gysin
My personal experience w/the cut up method is twofold, it’s like tapping into the collective conscience and or like a lie detector test, i.e. cuts through bullshit and finds a deeper truth.
