Sounds like the Afghani equivalent of the “troop surge”; one last attempt at showing some lmited local successes before packing up and getting out of Dodge.

@annie – that news piece is written to put the guilt on ISI and to divert it from the CIA and Suadis which financed the whole scam. Follow the money …
