I have btw changed my prognosis on what Ethiopia will do in Somalia. The smart thing to do (from the viewpoint of Ethiopian leadership) would be to get out once they have finished of the leadership of UIC. Somalia sinks back into civil war and Ethiopia can go back to playing factions. However conquest brings its own logic and I do not think the Ethiopian leadership is institutionally smart enough to avoid them. So I now think they will stay and enter a bloody war of occupation.
Prognosis for the horn: bad. Result of next bad harvest: starvation.
