WB: Business As Usual

Billmon:

"The president often likes to conduct business while curled up in a fetal position on the floor," Snow explained. "It helps him concentrate."

Business As Usual

I know everybody says “more of the same”, but it’s not been the same; it’s been WORSE. I am VERY THANKFUL to those who researched, wrote, talked, donated money, volunteered, turned out to vote, and made this happen. My faith in the “above-average” American is somewhat restored.
THANK YOU.

Two versions of Dubya’s Yale grades
Grades publicly released for George W. Bush at Yale (1964-1968) apparently differ from grade records for Bush stored in his residential hall on campus. The published grades are better than the grades stored in earlier records.

For those who may not know, the battleship “Missouri” was sunk in 1941 during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor which launched America’s involvement in WWII, and it is now an underwater memorial site.

I take that back. I was thinking of the “Arizona.” The “Missouri” was the ship on which the Japanese surrender was made. It is docked at Pearl Harbor.

John Hall, running as anti-war, anti-nukes and as an environmental activist upset the Republican incumbent in his district.
(He’s the guy who sang Dance With Me with Colbert LOL, if you saw that.)
The demo machine didn’t even try to win this seat.

The Republicans waste no time: the Democrats who took seats from scandal-tainted Republicans are already targeted for 2008.
from NewsMax:
“They really are toast, and that’s before they even get sworn into office,” said a senior House GOP campaign strategist early this morning, still licking the wounds of defeat. “I hope they don’t get too comfortable here in Washington, because they’re going to be going home very soon.”
Talk about poor losers…

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) told her caucus members during their weekly closed meeting Wednesday “that impeachment is off the table” ; she is not interested in pursuing it,” spokesman Brendan Daly said.
FUCK THE DEMS!
Oh, and Montana may not be as simple as it seems. From : Hotline

An aide to Sen. Conrad Burns (R) tells the Hotline this morning that Burns has no plans to concede the MT Senate race anytime soon. The aide said that 21K absentee ballots have yet to be counted and other counties still haven’t finished canvassing their regular returns. Democratic officials are confident that Jon Tester (D) will win.

Pelosi: NO Impeachment

Posted by: Uncle $cam | Nov 8 2006 22:07 utc | 14

Pelosi said a Democratic-controlled House would launch investigations of the administration on energy policy and other matters. She said impeachment would not be a goal of the investigations, but she added: “You never know where it leads to.
they may have no choice but to impeach the president if the investigations turn up that he has broken the law.
of course no one is going to go into an election stating they are going to impeach the president. did anyone impeach nixon? no, they did not.

When I heard Dilip Hiro speak a few weeks back, he was pretty sure the Dems would go for impeachment. Didn’t ask what his sources were.
