Fight Club

Love club?
Okay, sucker that I am, and at the risk of letting the data mining profile my personality, –hell it’s to late now anyhow–, this choked me up, maybe the music combined with the intent, who knows, but every so often out of no where, –like a hammer– blindsided, something as off hand as this brings tears to my eyes.

Billmon’s comment, “…just can’t beat having an out-of-control psychotic rapist in your corner.” may just as well be applied to white suited sexual predators too.
Tyson didn’t have the DC brotherhood to cover his tracks for him.

Mike Tyson got in alot of trouble in life by not being very sophisticated about how the world works.
It’s sorta pathetic that Steele would exploit someone who is clearly very talented but not very sophisticated in this way.

when i was a younger man – i was a boxer @ strangely enough a very good one – i stopped it because it was not what it should have been – a means of revenge & an evacuation of hatred & fury
i followed it for some time after but after ali – it became a ragged thing – & i remember watching the first professional fight of tyson – i saw what i once was – & was frightened – literally frightened – watching him – even tho it mmust have been one of those fights that didn’t last 40 seconds
he was a wounded man like sonny liston but without the sense of proportion
to see him being used by sicker republicans is yet another degradation to witness

Tyson went truly off the rails after his trainer Cus D’Amato died, although he was pretty scary before that too.
D’Amato adopted him when he was a reform school kid, and he was never the same after D’Amato’s death IMO.
