Billmon, you do the greatest service of anyone on the Web today when you lay out the truth like this, like a handful of gemstones on a velvet cloth.
Orwell’s statements set my hair on fire. The sheer act of projection in Cheney’s remarks is unbelievable. He has actually launched wars of aggression to cause and create the very thing he blames on the Other.
He is hellbent on creating a world full of the enemy he needs to face in order to see his own face.
I don’t know whether to dig a moat around my house or learn some good recipes for rat stew.
Better do both.
