If Lieberman loses the primary and then decides to run as an independant the the Republican wins.
At this point, there is no difference between Lieberman and a republican.
More importantly, DINO’s will have been warned not to diss the party base.

Yes, Lamont is a tocsin, a canary in the mine.
Should he actually take office, his opportunist positions would not amount to more than a mild call for reform, a Connecticut Feingold.
The importance of Lamont lies in the vast swell of electoral anger which he seeks to ride, and the potential for uncontrolled change which the elite seek to prevent at all cost.
Dean tapped a similar swell two years ago, but it was safely defused.
Should Lamont win the primary, others may seek to emulate his stances in the actual elections. This could quickly grow into a groundswell of opinion in favor of vast change.
How this is managed is of utmost importance to the elite.
However, despite another Bush-brought record year for corporate profits, many increasingly see the writing on the wall, and what it says is not very pretty. Fractures are opening up among the elite themselves, and this poses an equally daunting challenge. (For them, for us it is an opportunity.)

I heard Lamont being interviewed for 1/2 hour this morning. He is a very good candidate.
He could sell you a cat with a pretty face, and a bloody backside. Be careful in your expectations.
He promises more spending for people, domestic needs. But he doesn’t call for cutting the war budget or taxing the rich. This is his cat.
He is in favor of redeploying our troops from Iraq (not quite anti-war), but he supports Israel. This is his cat.
It is all one cat, half pretty, half heinous. You can’t cut the cat.
Do not be bewitched.

Lamont portends that non-fascist Republican white boys w/a personal worth of $50-300 Million bucks, who support the agenda of the Wall Street Predators, can take over the JackAss Party’s seats in the Senate. Get Drunk & Weeep.
But the Joey’s campaign shows that those in power band together to protect their own and further how radically right-wing the JackAss Party is.

Don’t have time to loiter but noticed this on Sunday
Today’s Rockrap was comforting:
Billionaire ex-rock guitarist joins Speilberg in backing Schwarzenegger
From: Rockrap@aol.com
Last spring California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger aligned with the Minutemen in attacking immigrants. Last week the Governator announced that the state will spend $6 billion for more prisons despite a falling crime rate.
Now top Cali Democrats are supporting Schwarzenegger. While Speilberg and Katzenberg are well-known, Haim Saban is not. He is a former Israeli rock guitarist who made a billion dollar fortune via the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. In 2002, he gave the Democratic National Committee $7 million, one of its largest gifts ever. Saban is closely aligned with Ron Burkle, the billionaire investor who is the Democratic Party’s biggest fundraiser and who, in 2005, invested $100 million in P. Diddy’s sweatshop clothing operations.
Still think there’s a difference between the two parties?”
the Rockrap piece referenced an LA Times article:
Hollywood Trio Endorses Governor

SACRAMENTO — Some of Hollywood’s most reliable and generous donors to the Democratic Party — Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and media mogul Haim Saban — are endorsing Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s bid for reelection.
Their support is partly a matter of friendship over partisanship. But it could deal a blow to the governor’s main opponent, state Treasurer Phil Angelides, by signaling to other Democrats that it’s acceptable to embrace a Republican. . . .”

In George Wallace speak, it looks like Clinton and the dems have been “out-niggered”.
