WB: But What About the Second Amendment?

Billmon:

I trust the NRA is taking notes.

But What About the Second Amendment?

from the speech at State
It’s no coincidence that two nations that are building free societies in the heart of the Middle East, Lebanon and Iraq, are also the scenes of the most violent terrorist activity.
I guess it is no coincidence that he doesn’t see the irony in what he says either. How do people keep a straight face when he utters this nonsense?

A “well regulated milita,” huh? I guess Hezbollah needs more government regulation.

And what about the clandestine but fully defined entity, otherwise known as the Death Star which has been formed over the last few years out of various tribes of private security firms, Pentagon contractors, prison operators and private-partnerships? It too is a state within a state. And when it demands 25+% return on capital it will not be denied.

private-equity partnerships this was supposed to read.

Bush and company haven’t respected the rest of the Bill of Rights too much. It’s just a matter of time before they go after the Second Amendment too.

I suspect if you watch the following all the way through, (see below) which I did, mostly out of boredom, you will understand the next few sentences and prolly learn something you didn’t already know. I know I did.
The system is now set up to where corps, and in particular private corps, are able to go around such things as the Bill of Rights, or any rights for that matter. Such corps as the AIG* group, among others.
And the following is a interesting comment from the person whom turned me on to it; I’ll blockquote their comment which asks some needed questions, having said that my own research has confirmed the vast majority of the films data.
Here is my friends comment:

…” maybe one of the reasons it is hard for me to get all the way through is that i recognize a lot of myself in the character, as an attempt to depict some of the severe alienation one feels when one realizes that what one has been told and taken for granted is not true, and that there are those who appear to be capable of truly horrific acts and then lie about them. i suppose this could be a kind of “post-traumatic stress disorder” but i am not a big fan of that syndrome and would not welcome the easy application of that diagnosis. thanks to jeff and others here, the information contained in the film is for the most part not new to me.
importantly, though, this guy is nothing like me in that i do not suffer from a concocted multiple personality disorder and do not routinely hallucinate, and i am more or less getting on with my life…
what concerns me at this point is that this seems to me another project that will reinforce convictions in those that have already given up on the “official version of events” of 9/11, but that it will convince no one who is still a believer of that official story. and worse, that it produces a kind of laughable caricature of us “conspiracy” nuts. those towing the party line can now add “chain-smokin’, hallucinatin’, head-shavin’, psychotic loner-type, conspiracy-nut…” to that stupid “volvo-drivin, latte-sippin’….” etc liberal elitist crap.
again, i’m not through watching this thing, but at this point i am wondering if morgan freeman is going to show up at the end and put the cuffs on our poor hero and this guy who supposedly has grasped the “truth” about 9/11 is gonna end up in a straight jacket at a funny farm, which of course fits the narrative the fox-news crowd has in store for us perfectly.
i guess my question is, does this kind of thing hurt us more than it helps?”

Enjoy:
Who killed john o’neill
*I’ll have more on AIG as soon as I am able.

Addendum:
I lost track of my point above, these corps like AIG, Checkpoint, etc.. have any every and all information on each and every citizen in this country, every man woman and child. As well as many other countries. So they know who owns guns. And the share and sell it to the Government.
W/ regards the above film…
Remember kids, ” Never believe anything. Regard things on a scale of probabilities. The things that seem most absurd, put under ‘Low Probability’, and the things that seem most plausible, put under ‘High Probability’. Never believe anything. Once you believe anything, you stop thinking about it. The more things you believe, the less mental activity. If you believe something, and have an opinion on every subject, then your brain activity stops entirely, which is clinically considered a sign of death, nowadays in medical practice. So put things on a scale or probability, and never believe or disbelieve anything entirely.”
