Second Thoughts

Comments

Ain’t he cute
as he tells the guys to shoot
and he marshalls all the troops
to the war
Ain’t he sweet
gold pavement on the street
Haliburton don’t have to compete
any more
Ain’t he sharp
combat’s a walk in the park
bang bang what a lark
to fight a war
Ain’t he cool
well not the shed’s sharpest tool
just an executive fool
to the core.

About ten years ago, I splurged on a plane ticket and flew down to San Francisco for a computer convention on the Internet. Wow! Broadband! The cab driver from the airport, bless his poor soul, told me he was enrolled in night classes in C++ programming, and hoped to trade his cabbie license for a job with NetScape.
Ahh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!!!!!!
That was before Wall Street caught on to the Dot scam, and urged Mom and Pop to mortgage their homes and cash in their annuities for Internet stocks. Oh, how
soon we forget 2000, and their golden promises, destroyed in the WTC debacle, or, hey, wait a minute, NOT destroyed! That’s what the IRS and SEC told US on Y2K, that it was all safely backed up in New Jersey!! Well, I guess they forgot.
$10,000,000,000,000 down the rathole of Wall Street. How quickly we all forget.
The bus driver today was cheerily describing his night classes, and I can’t tell you what they are, or I’ll have to kill you, because I’m taking them too. Let’s just say, if crude oil stays above $80 a barrel, a whole new paradign is being borne, akin to the Dot.bomb fiasco, but this time in meat space, know’m saying?
What the hell, oil is a bonifide boomer, and you gotta go with it! Trade up!!
Maybe someday in 2016 we’ll all get together and laugh how we squandered another $10T on chasing the last drop of crude oil extract from some guineau hen swamp in New Caledonia. Paul McHale, all along, kept precisely informing US on the nightly news how we were, “operationally and strategically ahead of Al Queda”.
Ahh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only “terrorist reality” is BushCo’s Bandits, who killed off the low-cost crude oil dealer in town (Saddam). Now that dime bag is going for eighty bucks.
Take it or leave it. They got your sorry ass, MF’r! Mission Accomplished (TM).
Ahh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No more health and human services.
Ahh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just cowboy boomers, all hat, no cattle, and your taxes paying for a spaghetti of pipelines and jack-up drill rigs punching dry holes out 100 miles offshore. Dark Pipelines, waiting for that Wall Street pump-and-dump that never comes.
Ahh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Let me summarize for you. I come from an infantry background, and we believe DoD did pretty well on Katrina. We just have to do a better job in the planning process next time.” Paul McHale
The Process (TM), Boss, The Process (TM)!!!
Ahh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
