Fish Tails aka Sushi Tonight

Says beq:
An artist friend told me once, when he was living in Florida, he and his wife were about to put their house on the market. Their bedrooom was painted a dark blue and to give the new owners a fresh "canvas" they decided to paint it white. He got started but first, for fun, he took his brush and in big letters with the white paint wrote: "SEX TONIGHT!" on the wall above the bed.
He told me it took him four coats of paint before he could cover it up.
I'm not sure why I chose to call it Sushi Tonight (that old Japanese thingie) but I thought of him and his wife after I finished this drawing.

wanted to say love it, beq. but then i thought i should qualify what i love, but then realized i'd be sticking my foot in my mouth. but here i am doing that anyway.

beq- I really like your use of black line in this piece...you can see if as abstract and a juxtapostion of shapes, beyond those appendages..but they're stylized too.
I agree with anna missed. I like this one best.
it's 20x20? I bet you can get even more of a sense of line at that size.
I think tristero at Hullabaloo has a great line (more than one) in the post The War on Fucking --talking about what really bothers some people who are only doing things "for our own good."
about the title of this post. I originally was going to call it "The war on sex," but changed my mind because that simply isn't accurate. It is fucking the rightwing opposes. The ecstatic, transgressive, transcendent, life-affirming, overwhelmingly selfish and also ego-obliterating ecstasy that is sex.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (belated) MALOOGA!!!
Thank you, b, for posting my picture. I was hoping it would stimulate some interesting "fish tales". There was too much serious news this weekend though, as always. I went into the mountains and the last bit of news we were able to get before we lost touch with "civilization" was the Friday newsdump about Goss. Good to get away but a shock to come back.
