WB: The Boogie Thang

Billmon:

It occurs me that the "Deep Throat" in this particular scandal might turn out to really be a deep throat.

The Boogie Thang

This is made-for-Daily-Show fare. The Republicans swore to restore dignity and honor to the White House after the Clinton blowjob. No matter how many scandals in which Republicans have been embroiled since 2000, they have always been able to say that there were no stained dresses involved.
Lying to the public during a State of the Union… money laundering… bribes… psyops in domestic media… illegal wiretaps of their own people…even war crimes ( ! )… they’ve always been able to stand up straight and tall and insist that at least they weren’t getting laid.
And now they’ve even crossed that line. My god, our little Republican boys must have fallen under the bad influence of those nasty little boys in the Democrat party. *sob!* I wouldn’t be surprised if I woke up tomorrow and discovered that Santorum has been smoking after looking at man/dog porn!

More than Daily Show, this made for cable news.
Finally people have reason to be interested in the scandal series. Who cares about regular money bribes. But sex-bribes, now there is a storyline.

I Did Not Know
As people throw around the terms, “treason” and “traitor” a lot lately, both in the blogs and in those State Assemblies demanding impeachment of this Bush Administration, what do you know?
Our Constitution is the only one in the world that defines treason: [Article III, Section 3] – “Treason against the United States, shall consist (only) in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”
Of course, that definition was expanded in later years with the Alien and Sedition Acts:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_and_Sedition_Act
Ee-yikes! Maybe SoS Condi Rice should wear a big #4 on her Chanel pants-suit, just to remind US!
The definition of treason was expanded again with the 1917 Espionage Act, which made it a crime for a person to convey covert information with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the armed forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies : [18 USC 793, 794]
http://www.firstworldwar.com/source/espionageact.htm
Now all this points back to the definition of the term “United States”. As any good contract lawyer knows, definitions form the essential apriori article of any law. What is that definition? It’s found in the Preamble:
“We, the People of the United States….”
Clearly then, whether a citizen or non-citizen is a high public official or a common gardener, the crimes of treason are made, not against an arbitrary abstraction of the Federal Government Bureaucracy, otherwise it would be treason for Bush and the Neo’s to make their New American Century Federal tax cuts permanent, and “drown Federal government in the bath water”. !Oops!
Treason is made by acts against the People of the United States, or aiding and abetting the enemies of the People of the United States.
Such as allowing invasion with the deliberate knowledge of an impending terrorist attack, yet doing nothing; of deliberate knowledge (Scott Ritter et al) there were no WMD’s, yet claiming there were, in fact, (Colin Powell, that pompous self-aggrandizer and history-rewriter); and of deliberate knowledge that insufficient troops were being sent, not only to protect those same troops from the enemy, but to establish post-war order, (Rumsfeld made a treasonous choice here, under 1917 Espionage Act, deferring further Iraq expenditure, towards building his international black-ops and domestic spy pogrom).
Clearly, deliberately outing Valerie Plame, a covert CIA agent, (Cheney’s office, with Scooter Libby and Karl Rove), indeed, an agent involved in the nation’s Middle East intelligence network in time of “war”(!), is an act of treason against the People of the United States.
Clearly, deliberately destroying the nation of Iraq, as Bush did by Executive Order, disbanding the Baathist militia; bombing infrastructure; looting Iraqi cultural, property title and legal contract archives; destroying the city of Fallujah in revenge for the deaths of four mercenaries; and creating a gigantic blow-back Israel-Palestine end-game, with attendant +400% jump in the price of oil, which is the lifeblood of the People of the United States, “Mission Accomplished”(TM), is an act of high treason.
Clearly, for Condi Rice to declare, “I know we’ve made tactical errors, thousands of them I’m sure,” but then claim the Bush Administration strategy for New World Order was immaculate, (and she plans to study them when she returns to Stanford (sic)) is a flagrant act of in-your-face treason against our People of the United States troops, in harms way for the foreseeable future, and so raising eyebrows all around the world, even among our Islamic allies, who shook their heads at our public shame.
1. False and illegal war, destroying the social order of the People of the United States.
2. Deliberate Executive-sanctioned Abu Ghraib and Fallujah war crimes, impugning the good name of the People of the United States.
3. Extra-judicial international renditions and assassinations in Israeli-style black ops, with attendant internal domestic espionage authorized by the President, deriding the sense of justice espoused by the United States Constitution.
4. Deliberately under-manned, and woefully under-protected, invasion of a sovereign nation on “sexed up” yellow-cake memos before the UN Security Council, resulting in needless deaths of 1000’s of American troops, then blaming those troops , bringing public humiliation to the People of the United States.
5. Strategically utter incompetence by the Bush Administration, resulting not only in the total destruction of Iraqi civil society, but on the impending destruction of American civil society, and the theft of our children’s birth right to our estate, now illegally suborned to Bush-made Twin Deficits, the largest in world history.
6. Turning the Justice Department away from further investigation of indicted Israeli AIPAC spies, who worked within Federal government, as did Jonathan Pollard and Ari Fleischer as well, is clearly “aiding and abetting our enemies”.
7. Turning Bernanke Treasury printing presses on full throttle, devaluing the national currency of the People of the United States by many $T’s, is clearly “aiding and abetting our enemies”.
But the Bushite’s are clever. They are holding to the narrow definition of treason. Make no statement impugning the “United States” (e.g. themselves). Admit to no evil, no error. Stay the course. Circle the wagons. Sprinkle a little pixie dust on it. Isolate themselves from the global society of nations and world opinion.
And above all, attack, attack, attack.
Defense is a full-time business, and business is good, very good. Ask VP Dick Cheney and his HAL.
Neo-Con queens, this Bush Clown Posse is intent on destroying the People of the United States.
How would you define treason? Will you tell the Nuremburg Tribunals, that you just didn’t know?

As the sign in the guys front lawn says, “Can’t someone give Bush a Blow Job, so we can impeach him?” One can only hope that this is the blow job to bring this administration down, which is so obsessed with sex: gays, abortion, sexual abuse in prisons, etc., etc.
