Yo annie! I was just looking at the picture you sent of your fishtank and noticed one of your pieces (like above?) in the tank with the fish. Cool. Yes, and wet.

interesting. i like it a lot. more than a lot. makes me think of philosophy, not that that means anything, the viewer is various.

I really love these and their arangement and colors. More then the more “regular” vases in annies exhibition. (maybe it’s just because the pictures are not that great.) The Tsunami is really good too. It has this really amazing face.
Don´t know about wet though. How come I always get this smile with that thought of wet 🙂

ahh, i am burying my head again now over the link to the gallery site because, a . they are horrible pictures, and b. i had a serious kiln melt down less than a month before my show and ruined a good portion of the intended contents so that many of the show pieces represent a ‘rush’ job.
i know its not appropriate to make excuses for one’s work but i never expected or intended for the link to the gallery, and now here it is again.
this is very embarrassing, b. i think you really ought to put up more of your excellent photos next friday and everyone here should send in something personal for this site, as a little show and tell.
that said, these pieces above are some of my favorites and i love my little flowers like children, i don’t sell them. and the rocks too, amazing how one can get attached to a rock.
and when they are wet an vulnerable and threatening to colapse and by the miracle of their tenacity, survive, they are very sensual. sometime i will send some wet photos and you can see.
that said, i will not be commenting further on this thread, and thank you for the kind words.

annie,
The pictures can never beat the thing, nonetheless, I was glad to see them, and how you move about. They remind me a bit of that mad potter of Biloxi George Ohr always one of my favorites, not that I like comparing, but, hes mighty good company. I like how some (of your) things are almost symetrical or classical then evolve into the unexpected, say, something aquatic, excentric, or growing.
— Best of luck on the show!

wow! grabbed me immediately. gorgeous and strange. exquisite composition of color, shape and texture. can I get a poster size of this for framing? I love it. The museum exhibit is beautiful. Thanks for this Saturday morning surprise.

annie- I love these flowers. They are from another world. Sort of like the lipstick plants far, far down in the ocean by the vents that keep the water warm enough to grow.
–and you should not apologize for the link! These items are much different than your earlier work that I saw. I like the way your work is evolving.
congrats to you on the show!
