WB: Homeland Security

In a subsequent post georgia10 also points out that homeland security allowed undercover government agents to get enough radioactive material to make two dirty bombs undetected through both northern and southern borders. But “don’t worry. Homeland Security has been doing an awesome job tracking down and confiscating suspicious packages–after all, they’ve caught 13,000 boxes of Canadian drugs coming over the border!”

Does this mean that we, the Canuckistani people, are now going to have to start dealing with the likes of Popeye Doyle on the meanstreets of, say, Winnipeg Manitoba?

More Homeland Security:
80 Eyes on 2,400 People

From Anchorage it takes 90 minutes on a propeller plane to reach this fishing village on the state’s southwestern edge, a place where some people still make raincoats out of walrus intestine.
This is the Alaskan bush at its most remote. Here, tundra meets sea, and sea turns to ice for half the year. Scattered, almost hidden, in the terrain are some of the most isolated communities on American soil. People choose to live in outposts like Dillingham (pop. 2,400) for that reason: to be left alone.

Workers on motorized lifts installed seven cameras in a 360-degree cluster on top of City Hall. They put up groups of six atop two light poles at the loading dock, and more at the fire hall and boat harbor.
By mid-February, more than 60 cameras watched over the town, and the Dillingham Police Department plans to install 20 more — all purchased through a $202,000 Homeland Security grant meant primarily to defend against a terrorist attack.

There is a new ‘Party of Lincoln’ post at Billmons too. Does not show on the mainboard but you can get it from the ‘Homeland Security’ post. (Almost like a bouns level)

We must make it clear that it is an unpatriotic act to purchase discounted meds from abroad. We have a pharmaceutical industry to support, which, in the great tradition of American free enterprise, should be allowed to set its own profit margins while government regulators protect it from unwanted foreign competition.

The bill was meant to be a disaster. It served its purpose. It broke open a government monopoly to the drug industry. Now they can craft a “more reasonable compromise.” The dems love compromising their base away.
b’s post is very chilling indeed. This is part of a structured plan which we are not being told about.
The same with the lax border controls. No one “over there”, no “terorists” have any interest in setting off a dirty bomb here. What would they achieve? People over there want us out of their countries, no more, no less. Terrorism is a canard we have been forced to swallow, like a bitter pill that is slowly poisoning our bodies and our minds. When the dirty bomb comes, as it certainly will, it will be run by the same guys who pulled off 9-11 without a hitch. We have seen the enemy, and it is our own government.

Not to worry Malooga. Time is running out on the big pharma game.
When the oil runs out the jig is up.

@malooga, I’m thinking Gulag, are you thinking Gulag? frozen north, no road access, panopticon village? nice place to dump dissidents when The Day comes?

b,
Not as many cameras but the same thing has happened in a small local community here in VT. Ostensibly to help keep teenager vandalism under scrutiny. The town raised an outcry but the cameras stayed and are still there monitoring me every time I park within line of sight of the town hall steeple.
I think Malooga is correct about the “structured plan” scenario. Don’t discount the efficacy of corporate planers. They have had decades of experience along these lines and their tactics are not moderated by morality or ‘civil rights.’
gylangirl,
the oil is not just going to run out but become increasingly more scarce and expensive. It will still be available but only to the cream (or should I say scum) of the corporate elite and their handsomely rewarded minions.
DeAnander,
shiver! :-@
