Another Speech

In defense of his war policy, President Bush will highlight1 U.S. efforts to help Iraqis overhaul their economy and rebuild their shattered infrastructure _ an endeavor continually undermined by unrelenting violence.

Bush’s speech Wednesday, to focus on economic progress in Iraq, will be the second in a series of addresses to answer criticism and questions about U.S. presence in Iraq. The administration has cited increases in Iraq’s gross domestic product, work to boost oil production, the creation of new businesses and an explosion of cell phones as evidence of economic progress.

One hour in five is enough to charge those motorola handsets.

One hour in five? Back when I was a kid, occupied countries were lucky to get one hour in 50. These Iraqis have it easy. I mean, look at what they can do:
-As Cloned Poster said, charge their cell phones.
-Level up a few times in World of Warcraft ([Al Qaeda-in-Iraq] isn’t terrorist, it’s a clan!)
-Blend a delicious smoothie.
-Order AK-47 replacement parts and ammo on the internet.
-Read a very short book, pamphlet, or newspaper.
-Set up an alarm system for those 4-5 hours in the day.
-Write a document with bullet points! -about how the insurgency is doomed by Freedom.
-Put up Christmas lights! Yes, the neighbors will point and stare!
-Watch 1/3 of the World Cup draw, where arch-enemies Iran and the US will sadly not play one another in the group stage.
