WB: Frist Fuck +
Comments

This is one investigation Bush will let go through and probably prod along, because, you see, he does not want Frist to become the next nominee of the Republican party in 08. A criminal insider trading investigation is a wonderfully powerful, yet indirect way to derail Frist’s candidacy.

Frist will gat a pass on all this. Geez, Delay has people rubbed out, blackmails Native Americans for tens of millions, steals congressional elections, totally disregards ethis rules, bribes anyone able to advance his agenda and generally oozes criminality from every pore. And he’s the most powerful member of Congress and is walking around a FREE man!! I’d say nothing short of premiditated murder gets a congressman thrown in jail but even that doesn’t do the trick.

Read Bill’s ode to social Darwinism.

HCA used to be one of the biggest Medicare bilkers extant. I recall eight figures last time they got charged in 97 or so. This is exactly the kind of bussiness acumen we need to continue the Bush legacy.

It was a gangland-style hit straight out of “Goodfellas.”
A man in a BMW was driving down a quiet side street after an evening meeting at his Fort Lauderdale office when a car slowed to a stop in front of him. A second car boxed the BMW in from behind, then a dark Mustang appeared from the opposite direction. The Mustang’s driver pulled alongside and pumped three hollow-point bullets into the BMW driver’s chest.
Shit is getting deep…

Bravo Uncle $cam, you have shocked me. I hadn’t thought it possible but after reading the story you link to I am simply flabbergasted that this vermin is still walking the streets.
What is next? A Freedom Medal?

oooooh. that title makes my, uh, whatever hurt just to read it.
fwiw- HCA is one of those brown brick buildings that looks like it could house any sort of office in any town…at least that’s what I remember last time I was there.
And the nice gingerbread house there is much too downwardly mobile for people who grew up in Belle Meade, like Frist. There you have neo-Colonial and neo-plantation and neo-Federal houses that were built long ago…at least last time I was there. Georgia brick homes.
But, since Bill was a kid, they’ve solved that issue of not letting Jews buy into the neighborhood, I’d imagine. I guess they have a busline for the maids to get home now too…but I don’t know.
With the issues surrounding DeLay, Rove, Cheney, not mention Bushhead, I would be happily surprised if anyone were held responsible for his criminal activities.
I do not want this crew to get away like Pinochet, for so many years…unless they were never allowed to enter the U.S. again upon penalty of death or something to indicate they are such scumbags that they could not be allowed to enter the country.
Although we cannot imagine that could ever happen, that justice will never be done, remember the example of Mandela’s struggle, or think about the ways that Latin America has opened so many of its files and is telling truths.
Imagine impeachment.

Good news. Bush is a goner. Bad news. He’s
got control of Capitol Hill until 2008(+).
Moving on, then….
Good news, Rita’s a Cat 3.
Bad news, it’s swinging east into the heaviest
offshore rig zone, and onshore refinery area.
More bad news, it’s sitting out there making
big waves get bigger and bigger. More bad news,
Texans are cheap-Charlie on stout wind design.
http://gom.rigzone.com/rita.asp
Likely 20%-25% of nation’s supply shut-in
for up to six months, demand > supply gap.
Likely BushCo will look the other way when
refiners bump gasoline to $5 a gallon, and
heating oil, oh, just don’t even go there.
More bad news, Kyoto accords, global warming
surcharges, will be swept away in a frenzy
to drill ANWR and build new LNG terminals.
Good news, wind farms growing faster than
any other sector. Bad news, electric cars
v. American buyer preference are disjoint.
More bad news, people stuck in Port Arthur.

Good luck and God speed to those in TX:LA!

Leader of the F.D.A. Steps Down After a Short, Turbulent Tenure

Lester M. Crawford, the commissioner of food and drugs, resigned abruptly on Friday, causing further upheaval at an agency that has been in turmoil for more than a year.
Dr. Crawford, who was confirmed just two months ago, on July 18, after serving as acting commissioner for more than a year, did not say why he was stepping down.

A government official said the resignation was related to the fact that Dr. Crawford had not fully disclosed information about his finances to the Senate before his confirmation. The official spoke on condition of anonymity, citing Dr. Crawford’s privacy.

Ira Loss, senior health analyst at Washington Analysis, which studies federal issues for investors, said he had been told by someone in the White House that Dr. Crawford had been asked to resign for a reason not yet known to the public.
“Something new has arisen that has led to this,” Mr. Loss said.

Did he sell some shares at the right point in time?
