9/11 Anyone?
Duncan linked to a Cafferty CNN show.
The question asking for viewers' responses was:
What should be cut from the federal budget to pay for Katrina?
Silly question of course. But what hit me was one answer from one Andrea shown and read on the screen:
Let the oil companies, Halliburton and others with an interest in Iraqi oil fields finance their own enterprises, it should not be a public expense.
9/11 anyone?
How many are needed before people even start to understand?

Re: Great Moments in Political Leadership
Anyone who is in touch will Billmon should tell him that instead of DeLay (who after all isn't a president, and therefore can't really be compared to Lincoln, Roosevelt and Kennedy) he should put in George W. Bush, and the quotation should be: "Let's not play the blame game." In my book, that will serve, if the goal is to show what a pygmy Bush is. (My apologies to the pygmies, who don't necessarily lack moral, just physical stature.)
