Moon of Alabama Brecht quote
August 7, 2005
WB: Radio Daze

True, the latest economic reports also show a modest share of this prosperity is finally trickling down to America’s working families. But rest assured: the Federal Reserve is on the case, and will raise interest rates as high as necessary to nip this dangerous inflationary trend in the bud. America’s true heros — the CEOs and billionaires who control our giant multinational corporations — deserve no less. We must not fail them in their hour of obscene prosperity, and as long as I am president, (sobs) we will not.

Coming home from orientation-slash-interrogation barbecue here in beautiful Huntsville, Alabama, the home of Centcom, Joint War Fighting, and its Keeping It Real for All of US shangrai lai, we’re passing gas stations at $2.69 which were at $2.59 just last week, and climbing.
I’m thinking, if we have to go to another sweet corn, succotash and barbecue ribs come-to-meeting I swear I’m going to hurt myself! It wasn’t so bad fitting into the 1950’s Gary Powers version of what US was like before it went outsource and downsize, it’s the subtle probing they do.
Here’s the IT job test: “Clearance Requirement: Top Secret, Special Cmpartmentalized Information (TS SCI) with lifestyle polygraph.”
TS SCI lifestyle polygraph!?! For a Federally-
funded Homeland Defense job? Is that lifestyle profiling even legal under the current beta version of the Neo US Constitution?! Is that the game plan? If we can’t stop the outsourcing, then create an imaginary IT world of 1950’s white guys, with plaid shirts, pocket protectors, and Brill-Creamed flat-tops, driving muscle cars?
Joe McCarthy, is that you?
Well, I passed that test by focusing my thoughts on life back with my parents, during the 1950’s, when you wore long skirts, white bobbie socks and screamed your fu–king head off for a shot of J-D to numb the banality. But if I told you those questions they asked, I’d have to kill you. %)
It’s BushCo’s Thousand Day War Plan. One thousand days to convert the last tattered shreds of the American Dream into his Nazi Corporate Socialism, the Final Solution, both for US, and the World.
You’re either with ’em or you’re goyem, roadkill.
And the sad simple fact is, everyone’s running so f–king scared, now that everyone sees the truth, that we’re gonna sink a lot farther down into a Neo Fourth Reich than anyone had ever imagined.
Shuush! They’re giving the final consecration!
“God bless Huntsville, Liberty, Freedom, and full-term careers in Homeland Defense IT jobs!”
I’m gonna go out and get drunk on my ass.

Clearly, the properity of our socioeconomic elite now rests on a sound and stable footing.
shouldn’t that be “a sound and stable looting“?

Bush has spent his whole life running to get to the head of any parade going down the street (hardly a trait of his father). The Neocons knew this well, always telling him whatever they proposed was a parade. Someone needs trip the bastard everytime he takes off.

Suckers .. that is exactly what he thinks of most people … money and power are all that count … Bush and Rove do not think they are above the Law they think they are the Law … and they have played the Radical Right for every dime they can get … You do great writing … keep it up …thanks for all the effort you put into it …

Good thing they came up with “WhattheFuck?”
I heard in an earlier draft his speechwriters were trying out “Universal Alliance to Save Kulture, Education, Democracy, Freedom, Onion Rings, and Idiotic Television” (UASKEDFORIT). Guess that didn’t work as well in Frank Luntz’s focus groups.

Maybe, someday, the microphones will be left on after the radio speech, and Bush will have his Lonesome Rhodes moment.

bitter homour is what we need right now- it goes with the territory.
People with sense are waking up– suddenly-and way too late.

Maybe, someday, the microphones will be left on after the radio speech, and Bush will have his Lonesome Rhodes moment.
Well he does kind of look like a dumber, meaner Andy Griffith.
