White House officials say it’s ridiculous to think the president would rush a decision.

I’m beginning to understand this use of the word “ridiculous”.
Karl Rove outing Plame was “ridiculous”. Torture and desecration at Guantanamo was “ridiculous”. The rigging of Iraqi elections was “ridiculous”. The US toppling Aristide in Haiti was “ridiculous”. The fabrication of intelligence on WMD was “ridiculous”.
“Ridiculous” means “Of course we (and our base) know that allegation is true, but we don’t need to admit it to you, and we’re too smart to deny it and be caught out by the facts.” We cannot be convicted of perjury for saying an allegation is “ridiculous”. “Ridiculous” also seems to invariably satisfy the MSM.

Thanks for pointing that out PeeDee. I’ll be watching for that keyword as this thing progresses. Reckon I’ll see it a lot.
