My concerns with Silvio Berlusconi belong to this line in inquiry, because he, for the first time since 2000, has had the occasion to confront Bush in public as an ally, and to demand that his administration come clean in the killing of Calipari. If Bush fails, then his standing as a credible head of state will be gone forever–Berlusconi, the chief of a $15 billion media empire, will not let this moment go by, even as Bush, a wrathful sadist with no taste for real work, may try to bluff his way out of all this. We shall see.
