Ah, Life During Wartime…
Seems like many Americans are no longer drinking the koolaid.
Atrios had a link to a Kerry/Edwards rally in the midwest, the second one where more than 20,000 people showed up.
I’m hoping that truly A Change Is Gonna Come.
Also read that America is going to have international election monitors, thanks to the dems in Congress.
We have truly become a Banana Republic under the Bush Junta.
I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that Poppy Junior and Baby (Jeb) Bush and took off in the middle of the night with the billions they have looted from the American people. Maybe Saudi Arabia would provide them with exile.

fauxreal,
banana republic was running through my head this morning while listening to radio program talking about the election monitors. We have been reduced to a third world country electorally and in 10-20 years we will be third world economically.
Boy, are things really looking up. The rest of the world must really think that US citizens are some real dum asses.

Sadly, we have not proved them wrong, at this point.

Apparently Pakistani’s are pretty pissed at being used as clay pigeons for FBI’s little drag net.
Islamabad is understandably unhappy and angry at the same time at the level that the US government has moved to put the life of its representative at risk at a time when it is Washington’s strongest ally in the war against terrorism. “At one level this is a bizarre story; at another quite dangerous. This has increased our ambassador’s and our mission’s vulnerability. This technique and methodology is tantamount to autosuggestion and could have endangered the life of our ambassador,” said the spokesman.
