Communist Viktor Anpilov, soviet tv journalist, correspondent in Cuba and Nicaragua, has died. He resigned in 1990 in disagreement with perestroika. Then he created the platform "Working Russia" and "The Communist Workers Party of Russia". Imprisoned in 1993.

Here is a video where he appears and also some Russian people talking about communism:

@114 x... yeah, the usa has such a sterling reputation as regime change artist.. how could they tarnish their reputation any further? lol... looking after israels priorities is all that seems to matter for the usa at this point.. and israels priorities are a destabilized middle east... whether they get it via supporting isis/al qaeda, or having the usa military do it for them - i don't think they care.. putin will continue to play the long game... no other choice seems workable.. meanwhile usa continues to be on this self destructive path.. it's only a matter of time before it completely self destructs, hopefully not by taking the rest of the planet down with it..

well, the surprise is not that russians and soviets attack Nazis in germany and in the process
a list of historical lies appear. This is within understandability.
After all it was not a lie that 25 or so million of them were killed by the victims of your recently discovered lies... And the russian general who betrayed MOscowand tried to help Hitler was object of German laugh and contempt! This is history.
After the war, there was a lot of compromise, of soft talk and of complicity between washigton and the surviving Nazis (look at the spying structures for instance. But there is NO complicity and NO pardon to germans from Russia. And forget that if you hope for it.
The surprise is all of Germans, from 1945 to this date cling and stick to the two biggest, most nefarious and criminal source of LIES in the world: the US of A and its mainstream Media.
Of which by the way, the die Welts, the allgemeines and zeitungs ... are a paste and copy.

@109 elsi:

Can we judge about life in Russia from arguably the most famous Russian artist,
Ilya Glazunov who himself lost both parents in WII? Perhaps getting acquainted his works
of art can help us shed some light on the matter?

"He creates the works ['Smashing of the Church at Easter Night']'Apocalypse.', 'The Blind Sower', 'The Wind', The ' 'The Great Experiment',” “Glory to our Forefathers,” “Sergei Radonezh and Andrei Rublev,” Dostoyevsky,” “Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane,” “My Life,” and “Russia, Awaken!” Exhibitions are held in Perm, Sverdlovsk, Kuibyshev, Syktyvar, Dnepropetrovsk, Kislovodsk and Krasnodar. The documentary film “The Russia of Ilya Glazunov is released. He is awarded the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” IV class. Glazunov wins in an architectural design competition for the
reconstruction of the 14th Building of the Moscow Kremlin. In a public poll taken by VTSIOM (the Russian Public Opinion Research Center), he is named “The Most Outstanding Artist of the XX Century.” UNESCO awards the artist “the Golden Medal of Picasso” for his great contribution to culture and art. The exhibition “God Preserve Russia” opens in the Moscow Manege."

Here is another primer on his works of art

1. There is a typo in what I wrote. It should be: The Russians didn’t enter Poland until September 17.

2. Did you read the link I provided? By the time the Russians entered Poland the Polish government had fled. The war was essentially over. Moreover the British had been supportive of Russia’s territorial claims on Eastern Poland AND the secret pact between Russia and Germany was . . . secret - so no one knew at the time that Russia’s land grab was pre-arranged.

Update on the Hawai'i terror attack on 01-13-2018:

The severity of the consequences of this intended
consent fabricating event are slowly surfacing.
At least one person died of a heart attack with
others under investigation. One person died in a
car accident - running a red light to get home
as fast as possible. At least one person committed
That is at a minimum three deaths from this
planned false flag false alert. While there are
now thorough investigations promised, their
findings will reveal as much truth as the
Warren and 9one1 commissions.

Today there was a radio segment about the
number of PTSD cases triggered in children.
The number is obviously high, since many
children show signs of emotional distress.

Factoring in the Japan false flag false alert
while the true axis of evil is holding a
conference in Canada as to how to nuke NK,
either militarily, or economically, most
people here on the islands are finally
smelling the root that is the regime's
attempt to pull another Pearl Harbor.

Another, because it is factual history now,
that Pearl Harbor was a set up. Everything
was done to make a Japanese attack all but
inevitable. Think about leaving the doors
to the safe open and reduce the number of
guards for the thieves to notice.

A German proverb alleges that:

"Gelegenheit macht Diebe"
(Opportunity creates Thieves)

Which is also valid as:

Opportunity enables Attacks.

While it may be judged as delusional,
now is the time to ban all nuclear
weapons and put before an international
tribunal for war crimes, planning of
nuclear war and economic terrorism the
entire leadership of the US regime and
its axis vassals political and military

Otherwise, we will soon get the real
"incoming Intercontinental Ballistic

but if it is due to the psychopathy of
the ruling class, one might ponder about

Bevin @74.

I quite like communism - it has several good points. but your statement; "In 1917 the poor people of Russia gave the world a demonstration of how to put an end to the evils of class exploitation and imperialism. In doing so they incurred the implacable hatred of all the forces of evil on the planet - forces which eventually prevailed."

There were 1.25 million "aristocrats in Russia before the revolution, and only 750'000 "Nomenklatura" after it when they had taken all the power. The Nomenklatura were the only the ones with the vote, the power and the money. Not the "poor". So as far as I can see they replaced one group (And the Tsar was "quite a decent fellow" according to recent estimations) with a smaller one which was no better and probably worse.
Then to simply say that all those "powers-in-charge are evil" is something equally ridiculous as saying "all" jews are capable of "ruling". Neither is true.

Pitiful you as you are tired. I am tired as well from the big amounts of these „nonsense about Jews“ articles. In the frame of political discussons I insist that authors prove that a certain thing bad people do or did is been done insofar as they are Jews, is an unavoidable expression of their Jewishness. That something evil has been done by a person which is by accident jewish (or atheist or Muslim etc.) is trivial and to correlate things that have nothing to do with each other curses my intellect.

I am not a USian either, however I have spent a lot of time examining the political dynamics there for the last 5 years or so, closely watching the way in which events unfold, and paying attention to the details, on both the macro and micro scales, and everywhere inbetween. I didn't have any particular destination in mind when I began, but knew there were too many unreconcilable inconsistencies for the official (i.e. corporate media) narrative to be the whole story. Needless to say, I have learnt a lot since then.

There is a disinfo campaign on the net. I think they are trying to smear critics of US/Israeli policy as Nazi or antisemite.

There is also an attempt to destabilize Russia by Russian/religious nationalism

What goes around comes around. I am still not sure where this alt-right - evangelical - Russian orthodox axis stuff started.

In that way the claims Russia interfered in US elections are deeply ironic. It is possible that the US were hit by their own disinformation campaign.

This here is a paper by the usual suspects - including Anne Applebaum on "Kremlin, Alt-Right and International influences in the German election campaign".

I suspect AFD received US funding. But what do I know.

I found it US Megadonor fuels German far right

The rise of Alternative for Germany, the new far-right political party competing in the upcoming federal election, has unsettled the consensus-driven, moderate politics of postwar Germany with its rabid anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim rhetoric, unabashed nationalism, and winking gestures embracing the country’s Nazi past.

Election-watchers expected a flood of fake news and inflammatory social media aiding Alternative for Germany, known by its German initials, AfD, to come from Russia. But one of the major publishers of online content friendly to the far-right party is an American website financed in large part and lead by Jewish philanthropist Nina Rosenwald.

Rosenwald’s site, the Gatestone Institute, publishes a steady flow of inflammatory content about the German election, focused on stoking fears about immigrants and Muslims. In one of the most recent posts, the website warns of the construction of mosques in Germany and claims that Christianity is becoming “extinct.”

The Gatestone posts, which are often translated into German, are regularly promoted by AfD politicians and AfD-related social media groups to justify the party’s crusade against Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open-door refugee policy.

This here is Nina Rosenwald's Wikipedia entry

A descendant of philanthropists and Jewish refugees from Eastern Europe, Rosenwald has focused on donating to pro-Israel organizations. She has been described as "an ardent Zionist all her life".[4] Some critics have categorized her and the Gatestone Institute as anti-Muslim.[5][6] Muslims affiliated with the Gatestone Institute have come to her defense in response to this accusation.[7]

They - again - think they can contain it .... sigh.

Adding to my previous comment: The 2016 election was a real eye-opener. The corporate media, in their relentless push to install Clinton, flushed whatever remaining legitimacy they had left down the toilet, and their willingness to expend this capital showed how important Clinton was to them. Interesting piece in Off Guardian on how much support the amerikan funded alt right actually enjoys in Russia the article links to primary sources supporting its point of view unlike the 'links' here we've been subjected to which are just unsupported statements of hate with no evidence supporting the hateful fantasies of the low self esteemed.
Tiny support for tiny minds eh

"Even though Vladimir Putin’s ascendancy in the polls has been verified by Western pollsters, and even though a few more level-headed Western outlets feel obliged to admit he would likely win a free and fair election with ease, the majority of the mainstream media have taken the launch of the presidential campaign as a cue to almost entirely bury even these basic facts, and instead to focus on claims that the ‘only real opposition‘ in Russia has been banned from challenging Putin due to flagrant political censorship.

By ‘only real’ opposition they mean Alexei Anatolievich Navalny, lawyer, ‘activist’, occcasional chum of neo-nazis with an awkward tendency to compare racial minorities to cockroaches, and founder of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, who is, ironically, currently serving a suspended sentence for fraud and embezzlement, and is, thereby, banned under the Russian Federation’s constitution from running for elected office.

In case it has passed you by, the western media love this guy. For them he is a mash up of Jesus and John Lennon spiced with a whiff of bad boy. They eat him up. And when high enough on his amazingness they celebrate him in rich prose:

For the UK Independent Navalny is “Putin’s biggest rival”. For the BBC he is “Russia’s vociferous opposition leader”. For Time he is Putin’s “Nemesis”. . . snip
Navalny – like that other (posthumous) hero Boris Nemtsov – is a peripheral figure in Russian domestic politics. Before he was ruled inadmissible for election “Putin’s biggest rival” was polling between 1-4% in opinion polls, which puts him on about the same level as the UK Green Party, which polled 1.6% in the last general election and has one seat in parliament, or UKIP, which polled 2.1% and has no seats at all.

For comparison, in the current line-up of candidates, the Communist Party polled 17% in the previous presidential election and the same in 2008. . . snip

Navalny is different. Navalny – due to his handy conviction for fraud – will be spared the inevitable shame that his tiny share of the vote predicts. So, when all the other hopefuls are defeated, he can remain with credibility intact. A political martyr. A living testimony to the fact the Russian elections are a fraud. The 2% popular support can be airbrushed away (as can his association with nazis, his unfortunate cockroach comparisons and his general litany of bizarre behaviour). He can become a sheep-dipped western hero whom Putin censored through fear. Post-election he will be, in the West at least, the perfect rallying point for a cause, which will have many bland and virtue-signalling faces, but which will at core be about discrediting the Russian presidency as fundamentally corrupt and unrepresentative, and trying, once again, to plant the seeds of color revolution."

The article goes on to detail Navalny's love for antidemocratic regime change praising events in Libya and other amerikan funded colour 'revolutions'.

I am not particularly interested in history, which is not to say I don't know a fair bit about the conventional narratives. Written history is fraught with ideological bias and I am not going to spend my life digging through obscure history books to compare and contrast different historical narratives.

What I am interested in is the power dynamics of the present. Big things such as the wars in the Middle East, AIPAC, Jewish control of US corporate media, financial system, Hollywood, and the music industry, what's been happening in Ukraine, and the actions of wealthy individuals such as George Soros should, at the very least, make anyone who can think for themself wonder what the hell is going on.

Trump is de facto working for Putin by sanctioning Russian oligarchs.

President Vladimir Putin is using the threat of additional U.S. sanctions to encourage wealthy Russians to repatriate some of their overseas assets, which exceed $1 trillion USD by one estimate.

Putin told lawmakers late Monday that a new capital amnesty program was needed “given the foreign restrictions, which instead of lessening are now worsening,” according to a transcript posted on the Kremlin’s website. This “should stimulate the return of capital to Russia,” the president said, without specifying how long the measure will last.

“People should feel comfortable and secure and it shouldn’t involve additional expenses,” Putin said Tuesday at a Cabinet meeting where he ordered officials to finalize the plan.

Russia rolled out a similar amnesty program during the worst of the conflict in Ukraine, which coincided with a plunge in oil prices that triggered the country’s longest recession of the Putin era. That 18-month initiative, the results of which haven’t been disclosed, “didn’t work as well as we’d hoped,” Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said. Unlike that plan, this one waves Russia’s 13 percent tax on personal income, according to Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman.

It is also a type of blackmail - similar to the Saudi Qatar shakedown.

Anxiety in Moscow is deepening over an imminent new US sanctions list.

A leading Russian paper estimates that 300 oligarchs could be named. To avoid inclusion on the list, some are reportedly changing their schedules to avoid being seen with president Vladimir Putin. Others are liquidating holdings that might be exposed. Mikhail Fridman, head of one of the country’s most important private banks, said he is stopping working with the country’s defense industry for fear of being sanctioned.

That fervor has reached Washington, where oligarchs are desperately lobbying for information about the list and, if possible, to get their names off it. While the list is just an advisory document outlining oligarchs considered close to the Kremlin, those on it could later be sanctioned and will almost certainly find themselves the subjects of a host of new compliance checks when trying to work with Western companies.

Posted by: somebody | Jan 18, 2018 9:41:07 AM | 131

From RT: New US sanctions on Moscow would ‘make Cold War look like child’s play’ – top Russian banker

Early in August, the US passed legislation imposing new economic sanctions against three nations, including Russia, which virtually made it impossible for President Donald Trump to lift any restrictions introduced against Moscow without congressional approval.

The law also targeted Russian banks and energy companies. Under the current restrictions, Russian banks cannot raise debt on Western markets with a maturity of more than 14 days.

The act specifically states that the US will “continue to oppose the Nord Stream 2 pipeline given its detrimental impacts on the European Union’s energy security, gas market development in Central and Eastern Europe, and energy reforms in Ukraine.” The move, however, alarmed US allies in Europe, which even considered reciprocal measures in case the new sanctions would harm European companies working in partnership with Russian-EU energy projects.

In the meantime Nord Stream 2 is alive and well.

I check out RI maybe once a week - 10 days, some links I appreciate (bridges, Russ movies..op eds), whatever, plus it is a popular site.

I saw that article about Jew Taboo by the founder ? boss, director..? - of RI, Charles Bausman. It surprised me, RI is a pro-Russia news aggregator site in Eng, fine, have at it, we can all love Putin, the Russian “Bears”, Russian arts, TV shows, etc. or Russian achievements, povs, besting the USA and the pathetic NATO, applauding the for-now victory in Syria, etc. (No sarcasm, I love Russia without ever having set foot in it..)…and suddenly the Bolshie Revol. is the work of the Jews to punish Russia?

Such ethnicist - essentialist positions and arguments, whether they are based on the shoddy concept of ‘race’ (black, hispanic, kurdish, etc.) or ‘religion’ (jewish, evangelical, catholic, etc.), only serve to divide ppl and distract, the categories have almost nothing to do with socio-economic political power structures, the divisions are exploited by the PTB. That said, the State of Israel -instituted gvmt. supported 100%+ by the US- is a vile colonialist oppressive apartheid state which nobody imho should endorse or support, let’s get with the agenda, today 2018.

Posted by: Noirette | Jan 18, 2018 11:24:10 AM | 136

@141 Noirette

More to the point: what is the endgame on fixating on the jews? Should we provide tailored accessories for them and annex all their positions of power and wealth? If the thesis of their power ascension is overwhelmingly true, I don't know how one would counter this without falling into the trap of heaping an entire population.

I will posit, though, that bringing the attention to Heros' position provides the antithesis to the exploited trump-card of exaggerating numbers in the Holocaust, thus making any accusation towards the Jews as verboten. The Jews were far from the only type of person to suffer in ww2, whatever the immensity.

And look at how they leverage their position in the ME using this tactic. Indeed, I am sure right now they are reevaluating their position in Israel and consolidating their defense via the US.

I understand that some may recoil from approaching this subject, but as it stands, it is worthwhile to evaluate the possibility that they are exploiting their victimhood and we are all suckers in their game.

P.s. and pertaining to prior comment: Solzhenitsyn is 2x the writer that that fraud Elie Weisel was, but that is indeed a precedent for the potential misinformation of Solz.

i always found it fascinating about Solzhenitsyn book 'gulag archipelago' having been banned in the soviet union and propagated in the west - it has been embraced in russia since the early 90's, juxtaposed with solzhenitsyns book 200 years together which has been banned in the west!

@ 146

One of the most troubling issues of modern times is the stifling of debate. Differences of opinion stimulate us to research more, to think critically more, even to get angry with the other, but to react. Some time ago, and on his website, I challenged the Saker’s view that the Bolshevik revolution was essentially a Jewish conspiracy. He did not react to my arguments, but it forced me to look deeper into the literature and to consider and reconsider.

Deleting or moderating opinions, such as some of those expressed in this open forum, does nothing to widen our perspectives or force us to defend or indeed to question long-held beliefs. However, that being said, we are all too aware of the dangers of being stuck with the now terrifying, career-crushing, jail-awaiting, site-under-attack “anti-Semitic” label.

"As the topic trended on Twitter, politicians and commentators alike called for the memo to be released to the public, with Rep. Steve King of Iowa calling it “worse than Watergate.”

b, neither a sock puppet nor provocateur be I. But I don't know where to post this and didn't want to post it to your Syria reports so I posted it here. Thought your readers may want to know that the sh*t is hitting the fan this AM in DC:

Explosive and alarming FISA Court Memo set to rock Washington DC, The DOJ, The FBI and former Obama administration this morning.

look man, these goobers just renewed the FISA surveillance law, they're all up to their eyeballs in every imaginable treachery,...

it's symbiotic squalor, one goes down, they all go down.

in other words, i ain't holding my breath

"it's symbiotic squalor, one goes down, they all go down.

Your post makes absolutely zero sense. They all go down and not holding my breath aren't in agreement but symbolize the confusion in your thoughts.

@somebody #145

Actually, it's my not-so-smart phone.
I never had issues with my desktop,
but via phone, I also get these
messages when I want to watch the
Jimmy Dore show and other regime
critical publications. The message
never pops up watching uncritical
stuff, like cooking videos.

But the phone is Android and Android
is Google and so is Never-Your-Tube.

I have no illusions about increasing
censorship of internet content that
does not conform to the owners' needs
to keep the people in the utter dark.

Another site that won't work properly anymore
is RT.

@144 nottheonly1 quote "@b #140

"Thank You very much. After having followed Your
excellent analysis on a variety of topics, it
looks like the more You are spot on, the more
establishment boots are oozing out of their
holes to disrupt the discourse on MoA."

ditto.. thanks b..

This train of thought was brought about by a previous poster who mentioned the "participants" in 9/11.
This is NOT about the the "obvious" culprits - but about the "Pentagon" part of the four aircraft. (Two for the main WTC buildings and the later two as a"sub-plot").

Start with WTC 7 which fell down because of a small fire one one or two floors. Most people realise that this was deliberate. Even if you don't, it is important to know that the Pentagon's financial archives were in the building. Second point is that Rumsfeld declared that the Pentagon had "lost trace" of $2 trillion dollars - two days before 9/11.

Next point is that the attack on the Pentagon accurately destroyed the financial (Audit?) centre within the P. building. There was one very small hole and the "major" part of the damage happened inside, a lot further away on the right. Again some say this was due to internal explosions. Even if you don't think this was the case, the next bit is what I am getting to.

There were 35-36 CCTV cameras in operation around the Pentagon. The FBI confiscated ALL of them. These were seen by ONE person only. They, the FBI, later released 3-4 very grainy and indistinct parts of the images - some with the potentially interesting frames removed.

ie. There was a "cover-up", or at the very least the FBI decided unilaterally WHAT should be seen by the Commission or the public. They said that they had destroyed all the other remaining films (Not true - as one or two have been "released" since then).

Now - Who was in charge of that Cover-up/investigation. Mueller? of the Russiagate investigation.

If you think, as I do, that there was a cover up of a vast theft ($2 trillion), then Mueller is one of the people responsible.

History repeates itself, or do some people just do the same each time it becomes necessary? Isn't Mueller just trying to find any excape route - before he, himself is "investigated"?

Nemesis at 138. Yeah, I take your point about the victimhood (Jewish) and its exploitation, that is certainly the case, as many have pointed out, and it has been so successful it has spurred others (e.g. muslims in European countries) to copy-paste it, a shame.

First of all, on a personal-pride level, the idea that you have to weep ‘n wail and play ragged victim to achieve some respect or ‘rights’ or ‘justice’ or whatever it is one is looking for, is terrible, too degrading; strength, determination, honesty, is a better strategy than begging for pity and attempting to make others shake with guilt. The ‘Jew’ example has served endless oligarchs, despots, and corrupt Gvmts. *really, really* well.

Second, it leads to an quasi-obligatory division according to some criteria like religion, community belonging, race, trad. culture, etc. thereby a fortiori weakening whatever ‘nation-state’ entity, which (supposedly) was created / exists for the good of all. It leads to the powerful, the PTB, telling ppl, if you weep and grovel we may throw you some bones. Maybe. If we feel like it. And you might even get the chance to have an apartheid enclave and kill those you don’t like, and be funded for that….

Amazon has just opened their first brick and mortar grocery store to the public since opening one up last year to employees, only. Apparently, they have worked out a lot of the kinks, but never one to put the cart before the test-horse, they are studying the success of this new open to gather numbers, so when they open up nationwide, they will be five years ahead of the WallyWorld here in the states desperately scrambles to keep up.

Besides the obvious beef of putting my dingy, local mom-and-pop out of business, or my local Walmart (hooray!), what Amazon is doing is, almost exclusively, ushering in the cashless society. If you have a second to breathe that in, think of the repercussions. Many of us Americans here know that the Fed is a runaway-Amtrak train that is about to careen off track into a police-state ditch. the government can control your ability to maintain sustenance by denying your lunchable purchase. I know...I know...if you got nothing to hide, you got nothing to fear. But it is just another nail-in-the-coffin for the little guy who is being led by two official-strangers out onto the cold cobblestone to be unceremoniously gutted (illustration from R. Crumb's "Kafka" rendering the end of "The Trial").

And nobody gives a damn, not the least from these millenial twits with their 9" exploding tablets in their front pockets ("is that all you packing, little guy?"), lining up to worship whatever whim of destruction Bezos decides to follow.

Globalism and centralization is delivering us to the slaughter. Fattening us up is this technology designed to distance you entirely from dissenting thought. Pushing a button and 12-hour guaranteed reaper-drone delivery is so much easier than thinking anyway.

Sorry if that bored you. Better down here, I guess, a week late, down the page, and next to the obituaries.
