Moon of Alabama Brecht quote
December 24, 2010

There shall be peace.

And this wall shall come down.

Contemplative, hope- and peaceful holidays to all of you.

It's funny (in a bad way) how all those walls start to look the same; Berlin, Palestine, Sing Sing...

Its the walls people have created in their belief systems that are the real problem though. Why can't people open their minds? I guess I might as well be asking, why isn't up, down?

Happy holidays to all of you. May the New Year find the ever-so-many small infections of peaceful thought becoming a full-fledged epidemic of peace. Why can't peace break-out? Why can't people spend the new year dying of laughter... or at the very least, boredom?

Sigh.

Peace

Argentina, Venezuela and Brazil recognized Palestine as an independent country, end 2010. (67 borders.) Bolivia did so two days ago and Uruguay will follow in Jan. 2011.

Peace...And happy holidays to all.

Thank you Mary-Uncle. Probably the sweetest bitter-sweet Xmas carol I've ever heard. And a very warm season's greetings to all my cyber family under this precious Moon.

here is a little chunk of verse from Muriel Rukeyser:

Sings: There is much to fear, but not our power.
The stars turn over us; let us not fear the many.
All mortal intricacies tremble upon this flower.
Let us not fear the hidden. Or each other.
We are alive in an hour whose burning face
Looks into our death, death of our dear wish.
And time that will be eating away our flesh
Gives us this moment when blue settles on rose
And evening suddenly seems limitless silver.
The cold wind streaming over the cold hill-grasses
Remembers and remembers. Mountains lift into night.
And I am remembering the face of peace.

cheers!

peace to all especially fellow moa-ists. xmas creates a totally different feeling for us at the top of the world, most of you down there think about fires, n snow and all that good stuff whereas our childhood xmases were full of sunburn, mossie bites and sand in the ham lol. In the end tho is still amounts to the same thing peace and camaraderie.

Which wall? The one in back, or the one in front with the cross on top? Can I vote for both?
