Super Tuesday Results
Some thoughts on the Super Tuesday results.
Obama and Clinton are in a draw with a slight advantage for Clinton. The fight beween the racists and the sexists will thereby continue. The victory may depend on who offers the biggest bribes for the super delegates.
From the progressive point of view, Hillary looks like the better side of a bad binary choice. But no matter who wins this, the party isn't really split about them and would support both as candidates.
A real split can be seen on the Republican side. The religious nuts and ultra-conservatives will never support McCain. Huckabee is a whacko, Romney a money side flip-flopper par excellance and McCain a war mongering neo-con. Bush filled all three roles in one person.
While McCain looks like he will in the end win that race, he will not have enough base support to win against Clinton or Obama.
Another big 'terrorist' event could change that.

Obamination is in the Bill Clinton mold, another breast beating jelly-fish, a raging narcissist whose only pre-occupation is self-aggrandizement...another empty suit w/a "Will Do Absolutely Anyting for Self-Aggrandizement" sign around his brutal neck.
Obama a raging narcissist ? IMHO, theres no proof of it. On the contrary, he seems to be quite well balanced. At least so far. Though ts true that he fits well with certain projections on the part of his supporters.
also, his support for more openness in govt, his accomplishments as a grass-roots organizer, his reputation as an Illinois state legislator seem to suggest the opposite. And he is known to work very well with his peers on his side & otherwise. Plus his family life seems very together.
this could all be a huge narcissist scam and if so, Obama might be one hell of a con-man.
also, the personification of a success story, self-made, highly intelligent, extremely motivated & hard-working, highly articulate, highly gifted person with natural political skills who is also an African-American with the audacity to believe he can be prez, is very compelling to a lot of folks. So, why would he not take advantage of it ?
of course he is also very ambitious and opportunistic, but thats not in the same chapter as narcissism of any form.
one has to look at the manner in which he has revealed indiscretions in his personal past and how he's handled it. Narcissists do not function like that. In fact, Obama may be that very highly appreciated psychological subject -- one who is very aware & comfortable with his/her personal boundaries.
FWIW, Obama the person is far more interesting than his politics. A lot of times, elections are simply about throwing the old rascals out and letting the new ones in. And Obama has more than earned the right to be considered a worthy alternative.

I think its time that we joined a serious debate about how to reconcile faith with our modern pluralistic society. Obama on religion and politics...

you mentioned the Kennedy/Obama connection earlier. Had you already seen this
This seems to be the buzz in the fashion world, Michelle Obama is the new Jackie Kennedy.
Mikki Taylor, director of the magazine "Essence" is quoted " there are many ways to communicate and I think Michelle understands that in fashion, chic is simple." "When you look back at the 60's, these are the adjectives that come to mind remembering Jacqueline Kennedy."
